Chapter 261 Jessica Doesn't Love Him at All (1)

"Alright, zip it," James cut in, ice-cold. "I got you a crib overseas, complete with staff to look after you."

Rose let out a bitter laugh. "Look after me? More like keep tabs on me so I don't come back and mess up your love life, right?"

James didn't even bother denying it. "Yeah, pretty much. Unless it's life or death, don't come back."

Rose was floored. She never thought James could be this ruthless, basically banning her from ever setting foot here again. She fumed inside, 'This has to be Jessica's doing. She must've twisted his arm!'

With that thought, she suddenly laughed. "James, you'll see soon enough. Jessica's playing you. She doesn't love you; she's just using you to wreck us! She's got you wrapped around her finger!"

James frowned, his voice like ice. "Do you even hear yourself? Rose, you're exhausted. You need to rest."

Rose, feeling wronged, shot back, "No way! You need to see Jessica for who she really is! I went to the hospital today to apologize and ask her to back off. She humiliated me and kicked me out. Then her friend showed up, and I saw her true colors."

Rose pulled out her phone and played the recording she snagged this afternoon of Jessica and Kylie chatting.

"Think I'd forgive them?... It's all an act. I stopped loving him ages ago." Jessica's voice filled the room, each word like a dagger to James's heart.

James thought, 'So it's all a sham. She's using me to get back at Rose. Jessica, you're something else!'

That night, James stumbled back to the villa, reeking of booze.

Olivia rushed over. "Mr. Kelly, rough night? You drank a lot. Let me get you some lemon water."

James's handsome face was clouded with confusion. "Where's Jessica?"

"Mrs. Kelly's upstairs," Olivia replied.

James headed up, Olivia watching him, sensing something was off but not quite sure what.

Jessica was soaking in the tub when the door suddenly flew open, leaving her stark naked under James's gaze.

"Ah!" Jessica screamed, diving into the tub. "James, what the hell? Get out!"

Her scream snapped James out of his drunken haze. Her voice overlapped with the recording from Rose's phone, and his confused look turned dark.

Jessica felt a chill of fear. "James, get out! I'm not done!"

"Then keep going," James said, a wicked grin spreading as he loosened his tie and tossed it aside.

He moved toward her, step by step.

Jessica was freaking out. She was completely naked in the tub, and James's eyes were filled with a mix of desire and something she couldn't quite read.
