Chapter 204 You Better Tell Me Everything

Just thinking about how a stranger had touched Jessica that night made James's blood boil. He felt a primal urge to find and punish the person responsible. His hands clenched into fists as he tried to stay calm.

When Jessica's sobs finally stopped, James leaned in close, his voice low and soothing. "You rest here. I'm going out for a bit."

He stepped out, smoked a few cigarettes in the hallway, his face hidden in the shadows.

He pulled out his phone and called Sean, his voice menacing. "Bring Pearl and Joan to the Skyline Club. And get that director—Henry here, whether he's in Ocean City or not."

Sean's voice trembled. "Mr. Kelly, what are you planning? Did Henry do something? What do you mean by 'get him here'?"

James's eyes flashed with impatience. "If you can't handle this, don't bother coming to work anymore."

Sean gulped, feeling the weight of James's threat. "Understood, Mr. Kelly."

After hanging up, Sean felt uneasy. James's sudden demand to gather these people meant something big was about to happen.

In a seaside cabin, James sat in a chair, surrounded by smoke. Even after learning Jessica's hidden truth, he couldn't shake off the gloom. The murderous intent in his eyes grew stronger.

Soon, Joan and Pearl were brought before him.

Both were scared, seeing so many bodyguards around James and his sinister gaze.

Joan stammered, "James, what do you want? Forcibly bringing us here is illegal! We can sue you!"

James signaled a bodyguard, who stepped forward and slapped Joan hard twice, leaving her face swollen and red.

"Mom!" Pearl screamed, "Help! Is it Jessica who made you do this? It must be that bitch!"

James stormed over to Pearl and kicked her in the midsection. She slammed into the door and crumpled to the floor, eyes wide with terror.

Looking down at her, James's voice was low and menacing. "I never hit women, but you made me break that rule. See that sea out there? Lots of sharks. Think anyone would know if I threw you and your mother in?"

Joan, terrified, crawled to James's feet. "Mr. Kelly, please spare us. We were wrong. We'll return the Kelly family's compensation and never bother Jessica again!"

James spoke coldly, "Alright, now tell me. On Mrs. Louisa Evans's birthday, what did you do to Jessica? Tell me everything. One lie, and you and your daughter will be shark's food tonight!"

"We'll spill it all, we promise!" Joan trembled with fear, almost fainting. She recounted everything they did to Jessica that night.

With each word, James's face grew darker.

Joan cried, "Mr. Kelly, you've got to believe me. I honestly don't know who spent the night with Jessica. Mr. Garcia said the presidential suite was booked by someone else."
