Chapter 222 Teach Her the Simplest Knitting Method

"You can talk your way out of anything," he said, pinching her nose affectionately.

Jessica stood on her tiptoes, wrapped her arms around his neck, and whispered, "Will you be home tomorrow?"

James smiled, "If you want me to be, I'll stay home."

"Then you should go to the office. Don't let me delay your work," Jessica quickly replied. She wanted to finish knitting the scarf over the weekend since it was going to get colder next week.

James sensed she was hiding something, so he pretended to agree, "Alright, you stay home and be good tomorrow." As he spoke, his hand slipped under Jessica's shirt.

In the past, making love always caused Jessica pain and fear, but now, with James guiding her, she was slowly starting to find some pleasure in it. Wherever James' hand went, it always elicited a response from her.

Seeing Jessica trembling in his arms, James felt a surge of affection and kissed her.

They had a passionate night.

The next day, Jessica slept in until late morning, and James had already gone to the office.

After waking up, she quickly had Olivia prepare snacks and tea, then got herself ready and went to the student dormitory to fetch Kylie.

It was Kylie's first time at Jessica's house. The villa was even more luxurious than she had imagined, with a courtyard full of rare plants and an azure swimming pool.

At her suggestion, Jessica took her on a tour of the villa. Kylie looked around enviously and murmured, "I wonder if I'll ever live in a house like this."

Jessica smiled, "If you're with the one you love, even a cabin would be wonderful."

After they entered the house, Olivia warmly welcomed Kylie. Jessica was eager to start learning how to knit the scarf. She had Olivia bring the snacks and tea into the bedroom, and she and then joined Kylie to learn how to knit a scarf.

"Since you're a beginner, I'll teach you the simplest knitting method," Kylie said, demonstrating slowly so Jessica could see each careful motion.

Jessica watched intently, nodding as she somewhat understood. But as soon as the needles were handed over, her confidence wavered, and she quickly found herself all thumbs.

An hour later, Kylie glanced at Jessica's crooked knitting and sighed. "Jessica, you're a genius in academics and always ace your experiments. How come you're so clumsy at this? This is just too clumsy!"

Jessica rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh, so you finally found a chance to criticize me, huh? Fine, go ahead and say whatever you want, but you're not leaving until you show me how to do this right!"

Kylie laughed and suggested, "How about this? I'll help you knit. At your speed, forget the weekend—you won't finish even by Christmas!"

Jessica slapped her hand away with a mock glare. "You can knit for your husband in the future! Stop putting me down, okay? I'll unravel it and start over. I believe that I can knit something nice!"
