Chapter 106 For a Better Experience of Cecilia

Andrew certainly wasn't afraid of Cecilia either.

Since he was a child, because of Ophelia's preference for boys over girls, Andrew always felt that as a man, he was superior.

So even though Andrew sensed something different about Cecilia at this moment, he couldn't possibly feel any fear.

In fact, he still didn't take Cecilia seriously.

He was just waiting to see her humiliate herself with the promises she made at the executive meeting.

"You are digging your own grave," Andrew said before storming off.

Cecilia watched Andrew's back.

The one digging his own grave wasn't her!

She walked to the coffee room outside and made herself a cup of coffee.

Because of a delay in today's executive meeting, Cecilia thought she would have to work overtime tonight! So she needed a moment to relax and recharge.

She drank a cup of black coffee and returned to her office.

There was already a woman waiting for her in the office.

The woman was dressed in a very professional black suit, with a ponytail and black-rimmed glasses.

Seeing Cecilia, she respectfully said, "Nice to meet you, Mrs. Whitaker, I'm Rose Jones, your personal secretary."

Cecilia nodded slightly, "Sit down please."

She had Rose sit across from her.

Rose was the secretary she had Theodore select for her.

Cecilia came to the company alone, completely unaware of the staff situation. In the sales department that had been ruined by Isadora, she had no one she could trust, so she needed Theodore to assign her a secretary.

"You're 31 years old?" Cecilia asked.

Rose replied, "Yes."

"You've only been a secretary for six years and already became a member of the chairman's secretariat."

"Yes."

"I'm 22 years old with no work experience. Do you feel overqualified working with me?" Cecilia raised an eyebrow.

"Yes," Rose said bluntly, "But Mr. Theodore Lockhart said you have at most six months. After that, I can return to the chairman's secretariat."

Cecilia couldn't help but laugh.

So Theodore really didn't believe in her.

She had thought his decisive style at the executive meeting was quite impressive.

"To be honest, I've set myself a goal that seems like a fantasy. If I don't achieve it, I'll be kicked out directly," Cecilia said frankly. "So I need your assistance now."

"I will do my best," Rose said, although she didn't approve of Cecilia, she still maintained her basic professional ethics.

Cecilia said, "I need to make some personnel changes in the sales department. I need your opinion."

"My opinion is that on your first day at work, you shouldn't make personnel changes; it will lose people's trust."

Cecilia asked, "What if I insist?"

"Then I will follow your orders," Rose compromised.

"Then don't ask too many questions."

"Yes."

Cecilia handed Rose all the resumes she had just taken from Juliana in the sales department.

Actually, before giving them to Rose, she had already made a rough plan, just to confirm with Rose if there were any omissions.

Rose seriously reviewed the personnel adjustment plan Cecilia gave her.

If she didn't know that Cecilia had never worked before, Rose would have thought Cecilia had been with the company for a long time and was familiar with all the staff information and job responsibilities.

"I have no objections," Rose said frankly, and couldn't help but ask, "Did the chairman plan this for you?"

Cecilia asked, "No." Cecilia smiled. "So do you still feel overqualified working with me?"

"No, I reserve my opinion."

Cecilia didn't mind. She said, "Schedule a meeting with the HR director for me tomorrow morning. I need to discuss the personnel changes with him."

"Yes," Rose said respectfully.

"It's 8 PM now." Cecilia looked at the time outside.

Unknowingly, it was already this late.

"Go home early," Cecilia said to Rose.

Rose replied, "A secretary's basic professional ethics dictate that I can't leave until you do."

Cecilia glanced at Rose, who looked serious.

Cecilia couldn't help but ask, "Are you married?"

Rose replied, "No."

"Are you dating?"

"No."

Alright then. Cecilia stood up from her office chair and said, "I'm leaving now. You can leave whenever you want."

"Yes."

Cecilia was actually a bit tired.

She walked into the garage, got into her car, and drove directly back to Alaric's villa.

Alaric said he would be back in a few days.

She wondered how long his "few days" would be?!

Cecilia suddenly laughed.

Whether Alaric came back in a few days or not had nothing to do with her.

She parked her car in the villa's garage and walked into the hall.

George was waiting for her in the hall. "Mrs. Whitaker."

Cecilia "Haven't you rested yet?"

"Waiting for you to have dinner," George said respectfully.

Cecilia was taken aback.

She had worked overtime and eaten dinner at the company.

George seemed to notice and quickly said, "It's okay. But Mr. Whitaker asked me to make corn soup for you. Should I bring it to your bedroom, or would you like to have it here?"

Cecilia asked, "Alaric asked you to make it?"

"Mr. Whitaker said you would definitely work overtime on your first day, so he asked me to prepare it for you."

Cecilia felt a bit warm inside.

She said, "I'll have it here."

"Okay, Mrs. Whitaker, I'll serve it right away. Please wait a moment."

Cecilia nodded slightly. She sat down at the dining table.

After thinking for a moment, she sent Alaric a message: [Thanks.]

Cecilia really didn't know why she sent those two words.

[No need to thank me; it's also for my own benefit.]Alaric quickly replied.

It was as if he had been waiting for her message.

Cecilia suddenly thought of her past life.

Her past life with Dominic.

She stayed at home for years while he was often out socializing.

Whenever she sent him a message, he would always take a long time to respond perfunctorily, and later, he didn't even bother to respond, choosing to ignore her instead.

Cecilia reminded herself not to overthink.

Now, she had already started her revenge, bit by bit!

One day, she would make Dominic wish he were dead!

She edited a message: [Why?]

She didn't understand what Alaric meant.

Alaric replied: [If you keep beauty and stay in good health, I will have a better experience.]

Cecilia angrily put her phone down.

All her previous feelings of warmth vanished!

Damn it!

Was she an object? What did he mean by "better experience"?!

And who said she would give him any experience?!

Cecilia was furious.

On the other end of the phone, Alaric was very happy.

"Alaric, your smile is too lewd," Cassius couldn't help but remind him.

Ever since Alaric met Cecilia, Cassius felt that Alaric was completely different from before.

What kind of magic did Cecilia have?

How could she change Alaric so quickly?
