Chapter 359 Seraphina and Dashiell Share a Bed

"Nope, I'm good," Dashiell shot back.

But he didn't plop back on the couch. Instead, he stayed in his wheelchair, waiting for Seraphina to come back before he hit the sofa.

Seraphina was fuming for no reason.

She dropped the mop and stormed over to Dashiell.

Dashiell just watched her come at him.

Seraphina shoved Dashiell's wheelchair into the bedroom. As soon as they were in, the door slammed shut.

Dashiell's throat tightened a bit.

He kept his mouth shut.

"Can you get into bed by yourself?" Seraphina asked, not even bothering to ask nicely.

Dashiell nodded.

"Then hurry up and get in. Don't mess with my sleep." With that, Seraphina flopped onto the bed.

She lay on one side, clearly leaving space for him.

Even though she had her back to him.

Dashiell just stared at her back, feeling kinda lost.

He thought she'd take the couch and leave the bed for him. Sharing the bed? That was unexpected.

To say he wasn't thrilled would be a lie.

He tried to keep it cool, used his hands to prop himself up, and got into bed.

There was only one blanket.

Dashiell scooted a bit closer.

Feeling him move, Seraphina instinctively shifted away.

Dashiell froze.

He didn't want her to fall off the bed.

They ended up with enough space between them for two more people.

Neither said a word.

They just lay there in silence.

But Dashiell couldn't sleep.

With Seraphina so close, his heart was pounding like crazy.

Seraphina, exhausted from the night, finally dozed off.

She thought she'd be up all night sharing a bed with Dashiell, but she was out soon after closing her eyes.

Once she was asleep, she didn't notice someone moving her from the edge to the middle of the bed.

A warm hand found its way to her belly.

In her sleep, she felt a bit of warmth.

The next morning, Seraphina woke up with morning sickness.

First thing she did was bolt to the bathroom.

Just as she lifted the blanket, she froze.

Why was Dashiell sleeping next to her?

And she had one leg draped over his waist, her head on his arm, super cozy.

Seraphina quickly scrambled out of bed and ran to the bathroom to puke.

She threw up like crazy.

Dashiell woke up the moment he sensed Seraphina was up.

Then he heard her puking.

He got out of bed, sat in his wheelchair, and rolled into the bathroom.

Seraphina was kneeling in front of the toilet, puking her guts out.

Dashiell just sat there, quietly keeping her company.

After a while, Seraphina felt a bit better.

She got up and went to the sink to rinse her mouth.

As soon as she did, she felt nauseous again.

But this time, she only dry-heaved a few times and didn't puke again.

"Do I gross you out that much?" Dashiell suddenly asked from behind her.

Seraphina looked at him through the mirror.

"Yeah, I woke up and just seeing you made me wanna puke," she said bluntly.

Dashiell's eyes dropped, and he said, "I'll crash on the couch tonight."

With that, he started to leave the bathroom.

"Don't you have any common sense?" Seraphina suddenly snapped.

Dashiell froze.

"Seriously? You don't know about morning sickness?" Seraphina was livid. "You think you're so special that just seeing you makes me puke!"

Dashiell was at a loss for words.

"Get out!" Seraphina fumed.

Every time she felt a bit soft-hearted towards Dashiell, she got mad at herself.

She was really fed up with him.

How did he manage to make her hate him so much yet still feel sorry for him?

Seraphina angrily finished washing up and stormed out.

In the dining room, Lucy had already set up breakfast.

Magnolia had been helping Lucy with the cooking lately.

Seeing Seraphina get up, Lucy quickly called out, "Ms. Everhart, come have breakfast."

"Don't call her Ms. Everhart," Magnolia said sternly. "Call her Mrs. Rainier."

Lucy glanced at Seraphina.

"Don't call me that!" Seraphina shot back.

"You're married, and you have a kid. How can you let Lucy call you Ms. Everhart? Do you have any shame? People might think you had a kid out of wedlock!" Magnolia said sarcastically.

Seraphina was always left speechless by Magnolia's remarks!

The next second, Lucy cautiously called out, "Mrs. Rainier."

Seraphina was fuming.

If she continued living under the same roof as Magnolia, she would have a miscarriage from the anger.

She turned abruptly, intending to retreat to her room.

"Come eat," Magnolia called out. "Didn't you say you wanted chicken legs yesterday? I had Lucy make them for you today."

Seraphina paused.

Damn it.

The most excruciating part of pregnancy was the debilitating nausea that seemed unending, yet she experienced an intense craving for food immediately afterward.

She gritted her teeth.

Seraphina told herself not to argue with Magnolia, it wasn't worth it.

So she sat down at the table and started eating breakfast.

She never used to eat breakfast, but ever since she got pregnant, she craved food after puking in the morning.

Seraphina couldn't control it.

She ate a chicken leg.

It was really delicious.

At this moment, the others also sat down to eat breakfast.

There was an inexplicable sense of warmth.

Seraphina ate while feeling angry.

After eating, she slammed her utensils down and left.

Back in her room, she was in a foul mood.

"Mrs. Rainier is like a child, showing all her emotions on her face," Lucy said, looking at Seraphina's back, unable to help but laugh.

"So you should try to be patient with her," Magnolia said.

Lucy was speechless, thinking, 'Aren't you the one who is least patient with her?'

"Remember to skim the oil off the cream of mushroom soup for lunch. Pregnant women can't have any greasy food, got it?" Magnolia instructed.

"Yes," Lucy quickly agreed.

Although Magnolia wasn't patient with Seraphina, she was incredibly attentive to her.

Last night, Magnolia heard Seraphina casually mention wanting chicken legs, and this morning she got up at 5 a.m. to help make them, paying special attention to Seraphina's preferences.

This must be what they call a love-hate relationship.

Seraphina lay on the bed in her room, feeling very annoyed.

She didn't know why.

However, every time she got mad at Magnolia, her stomach would inexplicably feel better.

Damn it!

Did she have a masochistic tendency?

Seraphina took out her phone to play a game to relieve her mood when the phone suddenly rang.

She saw it was a call from "Sebastian."
