Chapter 626 Making Up with Dashiell

Sebastian walked away, leaving Seraphina feeling like she’d just done the worst thing ever. She watched his lonely figure disappear, her eyes red and puffy.

Dashiell let go of her, and she decided not to run after Sebastian. Dashiell was right; if she wanted to break up, she had to be firm and stop dragging things out.

When she turned to Dashiell, she was surprised to see him already looking at her. Their eyes met, and it was like they both understood something without saying a word.

Something deep inside her seemed to wake up at that moment. Seraphina smiled softly, but tears started falling, catching her off guard. She didn’t expect Dashiell to still be there for her; she thought she’d lost him for good.

Dashiell gently wiped her tears with his slender fingers, then brought them to his lips, tasting the saltiness. Seraphina was shocked. Was he really tasting her tears? Was he okay?

“Don’t cry,” he said softly, his tone surprisingly tender.

Feeling flustered, Seraphina wiped her tears with her hand, surprised they had come so suddenly. “I thought you didn’t like me anymore,” she admitted, her voice shaky.

Dashiell seemed to smile a bit at her words, a hint of warmth in his eyes.

He didn’t say he liked her, but Seraphina felt it in that moment.

“I’ll help you deal with Sebastian,” he said.

Seraphina was stunned.

“If you really want to break up with him, I’ll help you get rid of him,” Dashiell continued.

“What are you going to do?” Seraphina asked, a bit nervous.

“Nothing drastic,” Dashiell replied with a smile. “Just make him leave you willingly.”

Seraphina hesitated. “But…”

“Don’t worry, I won’t do anything illegal,” Dashiell reassured her. “Sebastian will leave you on his own.”

Seraphina frowned. Sebastian had just left so heartbroken; how could he willingly walk away?

“Leave it to me.” Dashiell patted her head, a gesture that felt so comforting it made her heart flutter.

She had always been drawn to Dashiell, but she had been suppressing those feelings.

“So don’t overthink it, just get some rest,” Dashiell said.

Seraphina looked at him, asking, “Are you leaving?”

“Or do you want me to stay?” Dashiell replied with a playful smirk.

Seraphina felt her cheeks heat up. If Sebastian hadn’t interrupted earlier, how far would things have gone? Would they have crossed that line?

She wasn’t sure, but one thing was clear: she didn’t want Dashiell to leave. The thought of him going was unbearable.

It was like they had just confirmed their feelings for each other and were now in that passionate, inseparable phase.

“Do you want me to?” Dashiell asked, pushing her to admit it.

Seraphina bit her lip, realizing Dashiell had a bit of a mischievous side. Did he really want her to say it? She nodded to herself, ready to respond.

“Not tonight,” Dashiell suddenly said.

Hearing this, Seraphina felt a bit angry.

Was Dashiell playing with her?

What did he really want? He had asked, but wasn’t it to make her want to hold onto him?"You haven't really broken up with Sebastian yet," Dashiell said bluntly.

Seraphina was speechless. She and Sebastian had hit a dead end, and his leaving pretty much sealed the deal that it was over.

"I'm leaving," Dashiell said.

He had been on the fence about staying, but now he suddenly wanted to go.

How could Dashiell be so unromantic?

Even if he didn't stay the night, couldn't he just hang out with her for a bit?

It had been tough enough for them to finally acknowledge their feelings.

Couldn't they spend a little more time together?

Thinking about this, Seraphina felt a bit upset. She followed Dashiell to the door as he opened it and stepped outside. She looked at him hopefully, and he said, "Be good; there's plenty of time."

Her expression softened at his words. Dashiell's smile was undeniably captivating, handsome enough to linger in her mind long after he had gone.

After seeing him off, Seraphina returned to the sofa in her home.

She plopped down heavily on the sofa.

Even though thinking about Sebastian still made her sad, she had to admit she felt more relaxed than ever.

When she finally confronted her feelings, Seraphina realized just how heavy the burden of suppressing her emotions for Sebastian had been. Now, she could allow herself to feel some relief.

Pursing her lips, she couldn't help but gently touch them with her fingers.

She should have been mourning the lost love between her and Sebastian; after all, she had truly believed she loved him back then. Yet now, suddenly realizing she didn't love him at all, her thoughts were completely filled with Dashiell—particularly the softness of his touch when he kissed her.

How could Dashiell's lips be so soft?

She thought that she would dream about making love again tonight!

Meanwhile, Dashiell left Seraphina's house.

At the entrance, the car was still waiting for him.

It was only then that Dashiell realized he had made Daphne and the driver wait for him.

And he had clearly been gone for a long time.

As soon as he got into the car, Dashiell noticed Daphne and the driver exchanging knowing glances, their expressions clearly conveying that they were aware of what had just happened.

Dashiell chose not to explain; after all, there was no need to. They would find out sooner or later.

Sitting in the front seat, Daphne couldn't help but turn around and sneak a few glances at Dashiell.

She was just confirming.

The usually stern Dashiell, was he really smiling?

After several confirmations, she realized she wasn't mistaken; it seemed that Dashiell and Seraphina had truly reconciled.

The car swiftly arrived at Dashiell's residence, and once home, he sank into the sofa, yet his heart continued to race. He had never imagined there was still a possibility for him and Seraphina.

This really made it hard for him to stay calm.

He took a deep breath, then another. Although he had tried hard to suppress his feelings in the car, being alone made it impossible for him to stay calm. He noticed his hands trembling slightly with excitement.

Heading to the kitchen, he poured himself a glass of water and drank before his exhilaration finally began to settle down a bit.

He picked up his phone and dialed Cecilia's number. "If I tell Seraphina the truth now, do you think she can accept it?" he asked.
