Chapter 496 Cecilia Defends Alaric

The vibe around Alaric was downright frosty.

But Cassius, totally clueless about the mood, blurted out, "Alaric, you're good-looking, talented, and everything's working down there. Why are you impotent?"

"Alaric is NOT impotent!" Cecilia couldn't hold back anymore.

Before Alaric could lose it, Cecilia jumped in to defend him.

She snapped at Cassius, "He's amazing in bed!"

"If he's so amazing, why see a urologist?" Cassius shot back.

"Ever heard of a routine check-up? Unlike you, who never gets checked and would probably die from an STD," Cecilia retorted.

Cassius was left speechless.

Lily initially stood awkwardly to the side, feeling somewhat guilty because of Cassius's loose tongue. But seeing Cecilia retort against Cassius, she inexplicably felt a sense of satisfaction, thinking that someone as schadenfreude as Cassius deserved a bit of a lesson.

"And who are you to judge Alaric's performance?" Cecilia, still fuming, retorted.

"You can judge?" Cassius countered.

"Absolutely! I'm the one sleeping with him," Cecilia was livid.

Cassius was speechless again.

"From my experience, no one in this world is better than Alaric!" Cecilia clung to Alaric's arm and shot a look at Cassius.

Cassius glared at Cecilia.

Lily's face turned beet red with embarrassment. She always thought Cecilia was more reserved, but Cassius had pushed her too far. She glanced at Alaric, who seemed pretty pleased with himself.

When the elevator arrived, Cecilia dragged Alaric out in a huff.

Cassius watched them leave.

After a moment, he muttered, "What's there to brag about?"

Lily chuckled softly. It was rare to see Cassius at a loss for words. Her admiration for Cecilia grew.

"What are you laughing at?" Cassius, annoyed, looked at Lily.

Lily pressed her lips together.

"Let's go." Cassius walked ahead.

Cassius was tall and walked fast. Every time Lily went out with him, she had to jog to keep up. By the time they got to the car, she was always out of breath. Cassius, of course, never noticed.

Sitting next to Lily, Cassius suddenly said, "I'll take you shopping."

Lily just wanted to go home. Although she wasn't very popular, some people could still recognize her. She didn't want to cause unnecessary trouble.

"Don't worry, you won't be recognized." Cassius quickly pulled out a mask and a hat from the car.

Lily felt Cassius was up to something. His unusual actions always had ulterior motives. But she couldn't control Cassius. Whatever he wanted to do, he would do. Her resistance would only make him dislike her more and change nothing.

The car stopped at the mall.

Cassius deliberately told the driver, "I'm taking Lily to buy something. You stay in the car. We'll be back soon."

"But Mr. Hugo Blackburn said..."

"Said what? I'm not going out alone. I'm with Lily. What's he gonna say?" Cassius snapped.

The driver didn't dare say more.

Cassius dragged Lily into the mall. Lily wrapped herself up tightly, while Cassius strutted around, checking if anyone was tailing them. After wandering for about ten minutes, Cassius led Lily into an elevator and quickly pressed the buttons.

Lily frowned. Wasn't this the hotel part of the mall? What was Cassius up to? She didn't ask, just quietly followed him to a luxury suite. A seductive woman opened the door. Seeing Cassius, she cooed, "Mr. Blackburn, I've been waiting for you. If you didn't come, I might've been upset."

"I'll make you smile again." Cassius grinned wickedly and carried the woman inside.

Lily stood at the door, feeling awkward. She watched Cassius and the woman get all cozy, as if they had forgotten she was even there.

They were all over each other on the bed, both very eager. Lily pressed her lips together and quietly closed the door, waiting outside.

She knew Cassius's sudden change had ulterior motives. She waited at the door, feeling indifferent. She and Cassius had no feelings for each other. Being forced together was unpleasant. She wasn't unreasonable enough to demand Cassius be loyal to her.

But looking down at her belly, she felt a bit sorry for the baby.

Meanwhile, Cecilia and Alaric sat in the car. Alaric, who had been in a bad mood, now smiled, clearly in a good mood. Cecilia felt embarrassed. How could she let Cassius provoke her into saying such things? Thinking about the staff in the elevator, she felt overwhelmed.

"My sexual ability is great?" a magnetic voice suddenly sounded in her ear.

Cecilia blushed.

"I didn't know I made you so happy," Alaric teased, a bit smug.

Were all men driven by their lower halves? To say his sexual ability was poor would make him gloomy, while praising it as great would make him feel elated. Was it that important? What was there to be proud of?

"Honey..." Alaric said.

"If you say one more word, I'll jump out of the car." Cecilia couldn't take it and threatened Alaric.

Alaric hugged Cecilia tightly. She struggled but eventually gave in to his warm embrace.

"I'm actually very happy," Alaric whispered in her ear. They were like a couple sharing secrets, very intimate, making even the serious Augustus get goosebumps.

Cecilia was speechless. Was it necessary to be so happy about his sexual ability?

"I mean, I'm happy I can make you feel good," Alaric said, biting her red ear. "I always worry I'm not doing well enough."
