Chapter 336 Cecilia, You're Not Losing Out At All

Inside the car, Cecilia's lips were swollen.

She glared at Alaric, looking at Alaric with a satisfied expression.

He shamelessly said, "You didn't lose out at all."

She felt she had lost a lot.

Yet he said she didn't lose out.

Not to mention the previous life, in this life alone, she was as pure as a blank sheet of paper, spotless.

But Alaric...

He had too many women before, and that was just the visible ones.

Who knew how many more there were that weren't exposed?

The more Cecilia thought about it, the angrier she got.

Cecilia simply turned her head to the side, ignoring Alaric.

Alaric seemed to be in a good mood.

Seeing Cecilia's puffed-up face, he didn't make things too difficult for her.

He just let Cecilia look out the window.

And he looked at her.

The car arrived at Savoria Bistro.

The two of them went in one after the other.

As soon as they walked in, they saw Seraphina already sitting there.

Cecilia was wondering if Seraphina was even working properly.

Every time they met, she was always excessively punctual.

"I've been waiting for you guys for so long, I'm starving." Seraphina was friendly with everyone.

Seraphina was the same as Alaric.

No greetings, just like old friends.

Alaric didn't have a good impression of Seraphina, so he ignored her and sat to the side.

"By the way, didn't you say Alaric's friends were coming too? Where are they?" Seraphina, being a bit oblivious, failed to notice Alaric's displeasure with her.

"Augustus went to park the car, Cassius...should be here soon." Cecilia didn't tell Seraphina that she had invited Dashiell.

If she had told her, Seraphina would probably have thrown down her utensils and left.

"Call them and hurry them up." Seraphina complained a bit, "These people are so unenthusiastic about dinner."

Cecilia was about to make a call.

A waiter respectfully opened the door.

Seraphina turned her head, and her high spirits instantly changed when she saw Dashiell.

Dashiell noticed it too but chose to ignore it.

"Why did you invite Dashiell?" Seraphina's voice wasn't loud, but it was definitely not small.

Everyone in the room could hear it, including Dashiell and Cassius, who had just walked in.

Cassius was pushing Dashiell into the room.

"I told you I would invite friends, didn't you say you were happy about it?" Cecilia looked innocent.

"You did it on purpose." Seraphina gritted her teeth.

"I just thought it would be livelier with more people. These are my friends, and these are Alaric's friends as well," Cecilia explained.

Seraphina didn't believe it at all.

"Everyone's here, let's eat." Cecilia called out.

Then Cecilia arranged for Dashiell to sit next to Seraphina.

Seraphina glared at Cecilia.

But with others around, Seraphina held back.

Cecilia sat next to Seraphina, and naturally, Alaric sat next to Cecilia.

Then, it was Augustus and Cassius.

A dinner for six, just right.

"Let's have some drinks first." Cassius took the initiative to liven up the atmosphere.

Everyone picked up their glasses.

"Hold on." Alaric said, "Cecilia isn't feeling well these days, so she can't drink."

"Not feeling well?" Seraphina said meaningfully, "Could it be... She's pregnant?"

Cecilia was speechless.

She thought, 'Why did everyone think I was pregnant these days?'

"No, it's her period." Alaric explained, asking the waiter to pour a glass of warm water.

"I thought I was going to be a godmother." Seraphina joked.

"Since you want a child so much, why not just have one with Dashiell?" Cassius interjected.

"Can you not say such scary things?!" Seraphina was so scared, that her face turned pale.

Seraphina's fear of having a child with Dashiell was palpable.

Dashiell saw it, too, but didn't show any emotion.

"Ungrateful." Cassius retorted.

"Come on, everyone, cheers." Just as Seraphina was about to argue back, Cecilia quickly smoothed things over.

Seraphina held back.

She told herself she was doing it for Cecilia's sake.

Seraphina picked up her glass and drank.

The atmosphere at the table was actually quite good.

Although Alaric and Cassius didn't like Seraphina much, Seraphina's outgoing personality made her not care, so she got along quite well.

She thought if Dashiell wasn't by her side, she would have had more fun.

She picked up her glass and toasted Alaric, "Congratulations on your promotion, Alaric."

Alaric didn't appreciate it, and Seraphina frowned slightly.

Dashiell also raised his glass, "I'll join in."

Just as Seraphina was about to refuse, she saw Alaric pick up his glass and say to Dashiell, "You can't drink much, so take it easy."

"I know." Dashiell nodded.

"You two, know each other?" Seraphina asked.

Seraphina always felt like their relationship was unusual.

"Of course, He is Cecilia's best friend, how could I not know?" Alaric said frankly.

"Aren't I Cecilia's best friend?" Seraphina looked serious.

"So I know you too, don't I?"

Seraphina was stunned.

She thought Alaric made sense.

But she also felt something was off.

Before she had a chance to think it through, Alaric suddenly finished his drink. Seraphina quickly followed suit, and so did Dashiell.

At the table, everyone was mostly drinking.

At first, everyone drank together, taking turns toasting.

Later, it became a showdown between Seraphina and Cassius, and neither of them would give in.

Cecilia knew that Seraphina and Cassius would get along easily.

The two of them drank to excess without any end in sight.

"Don't worry, you know Seraphina's drinking capacity, and even if she gets drunk, she'll be lively the next day, don't worry." Cecilia said to Dashiell.

At this moment, Seraphina had also switched seats with Dashiell.

So Dashiell was sitting next to Cecilia, and Seraphina was next to Cassius.

Dashiell nodded.

In the end, it didn't matter how worried he was; Seraphina wasn't going to listen to him anyway.

"Eat more, I ordered some non-spicy dishes." Cecilia said.

"Savoria Bistro was your choice, right?" Dashiell's instinctive reaction when he found out Seraphina had asked the bureau out for dinner was The Cozy Hearth, and as soon as he heard it was here, he guessed that Cecilia had suggested it.

Cecilia smiled slightly and didn't deny it, "When Seraphina falls in love with you, she'll consider you more."

Dashiell also smiled.

After all, Seraphina loving him seemed like a fantasy.

"It'll happen one day." Cecilia was very sure.

Dashiell nodded somewhat evasively.

Probably, Dashiell didn't let himself have too much hope.

Dinner ended around 10 PM.

By then, Cassius and Seraphina were both drunk.

Despite their earlier discord, by the end, they were like brothers, regretting not meeting sooner.

They held hands, reluctant to part.

In the end, they even swore an oath of brotherhood in front of everyone.

Cecilia thought, 'when they sobered up, they would both regret it!'
