Chapter 490 The Game (28) Penelope's Breakdown
Cecilia kept her cool, like always.
Penelope? She was done. Totally over it.
Cecilia's bodyguard had knocked her flat, and she couldn't even move. Then Dominic had the nerve to tell her to suck it up and not call the cops.
"Cecilia's getting more and more shameless!" Penelope fumed.
She screamed, "Cecilia, you're shameless!"
Cecilia's eyes narrowed.
Dominic grabbed Penelope quick. "Shut up!"
"Dominic!" Penelope was beyond pissed.
'Who does this bitch think she is, acting all high and mighty?'
"Shut up!" Dominic was losing it.
When he got mad, no one in the family dared to cross him.
Penelope's eyes were red with anger.
She bit her tongue, not saying a word.
Cecilia just stared at her.
She remembered all the crap Penelope had put her through—the nasty comments at home, the gossip outside, calling her just a maid Dominic married. She'd put up with it all in her past life.
But now? No way.
Penelope was fuming. Even with Dominic yelling at her, she couldn't stand Cecilia's smug face. She got up, ready to scream at her!
Cecilia slapped her hard, leaving Penelope in shock.
Dominic was stunned too.
When did Cecilia get so bold?
She used to be all about following the rules, never stepping out of line.
Now she could slap someone without even flinching.
She said coldly, "What a thick-skinned bitch! My hand hurts from slapping you."
"Cecilia, you bitch!" Penelope was livid.
Cecilia had actually slapped her!
And then insulted her on top of it.
Penelope couldn't take it. She lunged at Cecilia.
Cecilia leaned back in her chair, saying casually, "Calm down, and we can talk about the contract. If not, get out!"
"Ceci..." Penelope's words were muffled by Dominic's hand.
Her eyes were blazing with anger.
She twisted and turned, unable to contain her rage.
Cecilia watched her meltdown with cold indifference.
She just sat there, watching Dominic and Penelope argue.
Dominic couldn't handle Penelope.
He shouted, "If you keep this up, I'll marry you off to Elmer Roach tomorrow!"
Penelope went silent, shocked.
She couldn't believe he'd say that!
Elmer was a notorious creep, married four times already.
He'd even harassed her at a business party once.
Just thinking about him made her skin crawl.
And Dominic actually threatened her with that?
Tears streamed down her face.
She knew she'd only ever marry Dashiell!
"Go outside and cool off!" Dominic let her go.
His face was dark with anger.
Penelope stormed out of Cecilia's office, seething!
She wanted to kill Cecilia!
