Chapter 304 Twist of Fate IV: Delivered to Dashiell

The receptionist was clearly stunned by Cecilia.

She couldn't say a word for a long time.

"You can call the police now, but before that, show me where Seraphina's room is! If something really happens, you can't afford the consequences!" Cecilia tried to stay calm.

She told herself not to panic; Seraphina wouldn't be so foolish.

The receptionist was obviously intimidated by Cecilia and quickly crouched down to check the system.

"Ms. Everhart's room is 1999..."

She thought, 'Damn. Seraphina really did book a room.'

Cecilia almost cursed.

"Give me the room key card!" Cecilia demanded.

The receptionist hesitated but handed the key card to Cecilia.

She was completely overpowered by Cecilia's presence and didn't dare to resist.

Cecilia quickly took the key card and rushed to the elevator with Augustus.

Cecilia frantically pressed the elevator button. As soon as it opened, she rushed in, swiped the key card, and headed to the 19th floor.

The elevator numbers kept increasing.

Cecilia stepped out of the elevator, took a quick look at the hotel's floor plan, and confirmed her direction before heading towards her destination.

She abruptly spotted room 1999.

Taking a deep breath, Cecilia braced herself.

She was terrified of what she might find behind that door.

Summoning her courage, she swiped the key card.

The door swung open.

Cecilia charged inside.

The sight that greeted her was a large bed with Seraphina sprawled out on it, clearly exhausted.

She thought, 'How much has she drunk to end up like this?'

Cecilia rushed over, calling out, "Seraphina."

Thankfully, nothing had happened.

Seraphina was merely sleeping soundly in her clothes.

Sensing someone calling her, Seraphina stirred, opened her eyes groggily, and looked at the figure before her. "Cecilia?"

She hadn't really seen Cecilia clearly.

It was more that she recognized the familiar voice.

"Come on, let me take you home," Cecilia said as she tried to help Seraphina up.

Seraphina resisted, "No... I want to be with Sebastian. Where's Sebastian?"

Cecilia's eyes narrowed.

Just as she was about to lose her temper, she noticed that Seraphina's condition was far from ordinary.

This wasn't just drunkenness.Cecilia quickly felt Seraphina's forehead.

It was burning hot.

Then she checked the rest of her body.

It was like touching a heated stove.

"Seraphina, are you feeling really sick right now?" Cecilia asked.

Seraphina nodded.

Cecilia was almost certain now.

Seraphina had been drugged.

She thought, 'Seraphina won't lose control like this.

'She won't have an affair while married to Dashiell.'

Quickly, Cecilia helped Seraphina up. "Let's get you out of here."

"I'm not going back," Seraphina protested.

But her body had no strength to resist.

She allowed Cecilia to lift her from the bed. "Where's Sebastian? Wasn't he just with me?"

Seraphina was frantically searching for Sebastian.

Cecilia was puzzled, too.

She thought, 'Cassius has clearly said that Seraphina and Sebastian have left together.

'So why is Seraphina alone in the room?

'Where is Sebastian?!

'Under these circumstances, shouldn't Sebastian have taken advantage of the situation?!'

Cecilia shot Augustus a look.

Augustus immediately came over to help Cecilia support the weak Seraphina as they made their way out of the room together.

The situation was suspicious, but Cecilia didn't have time to investigate right now.

The top priority was getting Seraphina back to Dashiell.

As they left, Cecilia didn't notice a man at the end of the hallway, hiding and holding a key card for room 1999, too cautious to approach.

Cecilia finally managed to get the restless Seraphina into the car.

The effects of the drug were clearly worsening.

Cecilia instructed Augustus to drive faster.

Augustus, this time, didn't hesitate and pushed the car to its limits.

"Cecilia, I think I've been drugged," Seraphina mumbled.

She was crying as she spoke.

So, Seraphina hadn't completely lost her mind.

She still understood what was happening to her body.

"Yes, you've been drugged. Just hang in there; it'll pass soon," Cecilia reassured her.

"Will I get to see Sebastian soon?" Seraphina asked.

Though there was a glimmer of clarity, she couldn't grasp much more.

Cecilia didn't answer.

Because she wasn't planning to take Seraphina to Sebastian.

From start to finish, her only concern was Dashiell.

The car pulled up to the entrance of the complex.

Cecilia helped Seraphina out of the car.

At that point, Seraphina was completely disoriented.

Cecilia struggled to keep Seraphina's instincts in check.

She was afraid Seraphina might do something that would jeopardize her innocence.

Augustus, too, helped restrain Seraphina as they headed into the elevator.

Seraphina was being held tightly, her eyes red and streaming with tears of pain.

Cecilia felt a pang of sympathy seeing her suffer.

The thought of what would happen after tonight made her clench her teeth.

She couldn't afford to make the same mistake as last time.

Even if Seraphina hated her tomorrow, this was the choice she had to make.

The elevator reached their floor.

Cecilia used Seraphina's hand to open the door.

"Dashiell!" Cecilia called out as she entered the living room.

Lucy emerged from the bedroom door.

Seeing Seraphina in such a state of intoxication, she quickly approached, "Ms. Everhart, what happened? Why are you so drunk?"

Seraphina didn't respond.

Cecilia, growing more impatient, said, "Which room is Dashiell in?"

"That one," Lucy said quickly. "But Mr. Rainier is probably already asleep. Ms. Everhart is drunk; I can take care of her. Just leave it to me."

"No, you can't. Open Dashiell's room for me."

"But..."

"Hurry up!" Cecilia's urgency was evident in her tone.

Lucy, cowed by Cecilia's insistence, hurriedly opened Dashiell's door.

Inside the room, Dashiell was not asleep.

Just before he was about to doze off, Penelope had sent him a message.

Along with a photo.

She wrote: [I saw Seraphina and Sebastian heading to a room together.]

The photo showed Seraphina clinging tightly to Sebastian, and Sebastian holding her just as tightly.

The scene was unmistakable—like glue.
