Chapter 55 The Grand Wedding 13 Beauty Truly Had No Limits

Alaric took Cecilia back to the wedding venue.

However, the banquet hall had been moved to another room.

Cecilia didn't even get a chance to see the setup of the banquet hall as she was immediately taken to the dressing room.

Inside the dressing room, ten staff members were standing in a row, waiting for Cecilia with utmost respect.

Alongside the staff, Seraphina was also there, looking rather displeased.

She had saw Cecilia abandoning her and Alaric.

Of course, Seraphina tended to exaggerate, and in reality, she was simply invited to wait for Cecilia.

"I thought you had eloped with Alaric," Seraphina sarcastically remarked.

Knowing Seraphina's temperament, Cecilia quickly reassured her, saying, "I just went to get a marriage certificate."

"Are you really married with Alaric?" Seraphina exclaimed loudly.

Cecilia was used to Seraphina's unpredictability. However, the staff present at the moment were taken aback. Some even trembled in shock, clearly overwhelmed.

"Calm down," Cecilia couldn't help but advise.

"Fuck, how? Even though... fuck!" Seraphina suddenly cursed a lot, expressing her frustration toward Dominic, the hypocrite.

She felt deeply deceived by him over the years, believing he loved Cecilia wholeheartedly, only to discover his despicable nature behind her back.

If she hadn't been shocked by Cecilia's actions today, and hadn't been impressed by Alaric's charm, she would have definitely fought Dominic fiercely!

Cecilia absolutely believed that.

With Seraphina's personality, if pushed to such an extent, she would indeed go all out for revenge.

Cecilia felt touched by Seraphina's words. She reached out and held Seraphina's hand, surprising her.

Seraphina was taken aback, looking at Cecilia with a hint of unfamiliarity. "Why are you suddenly so shy?"

"It's just that I suddenly feel a bit happy," Cecilia smiled.

"Happy? Why? Dominic is not a good partner. Do you think Alaric is any better? Well, I admit, he did look handsome today. And the proposal was also impressive. But Alaric is a libertine.”

"Don't curse him, okay?" Cecilia interrupted, swiftly changing the subject. "What do you think, who made the first move between Dominic and Isadora?"

"Need I say more? It must have been Dominic!" Seraphina keenly remarked.

"Don't you think Isadora might have schemed it?"

"Come on! Is Dominic that foolish? He's quite clever! A woman like Isadora, with a good figure but lacking intelligence, couldn't possibly successfully scheme against Dominic!" Seraphina expressed disdain.

Seraphina was never foolish; she simply didn't like to use her intelligence for the right things.

"Do you still have any expectations for Dominic?" Seraphina suddenly grew excited.

Cecilia rolled her eyes. She wished Dominic would just disappear!

"I'd rather you marry Alaric then. He may change. But Dominic won’t. And you will suffer if you marry him."

"I have no expectations," Cecilia affirmed, "I will never marry Dominic!"

"Cecilia." Seraphina's tone softened.

Cecilia frowned, genuinely concerned about Seraphina's sudden change.

Seraphina seemed uncomfortable, "I am so sorry for you. Marriage has been so unfavorable to you, You met one scumbag after another.”

As Seraphina continued, she even seemed proud. Cecilia felt a bit helpless. People with low patience like her couldn't be friends with Seraphina, or they'd end up infuriated.

"Ms. Lockhart," a staff member suddenly approached. They probably couldn't wait any longer. Respectfully, she said, "Mr. Whitaker asked us to prepare you for makeup. Your wedding with Mr. Whitaker is in four hours, so we need to make good use of our time."

"Alright," Cecilia responded. Since Alaric had arranged the wedding, she had to prepare too.

"Apart from everything else, Alaric is quite generous to you... Ah!" Seraphina suddenly screamed.

Seraphina's behavior made it hard to believe she was the heiress of the Everhart family.

"Shit, what is this?" Seraphina widened her eyes, looking at the massive curtain that had been opened in the dressing room, revealing a gorgeous and elegant pale pink wedding gown. It was adorned with the most traditional hand embroidery of the Yakurosean Empire, exquisite craftsmanship, high-quality fabric, and adorned with fine diamonds at the waist and chest, shimmering under the lights.

It was a precious wedding gown!

In the ancient times of the Yakurosean Empire, only kings and nobles could wear such bridal attire. After centuries of evolution, this kind of bridal attire had almost become extinct, yet it suddenly appeared before them. What's more, it was said that this bridal attire was entirely hand-sewn, of inestimable value, and not something that could be completed in a day or two.

At that moment, both Seraphina and Cecilia were taken aback.

The staff seemed to anticipate their reaction and quickly explained, "This wedding gown is the masterpiece of Mr. Sinclair, a renowned embroidery master and a pride of the Yakurosean Empire and the world. As the top embroidery master of the Yakurosean Empire, he spent a whole month meticulously crafting every stitch. It is said that Mr. Sinclair once auctioned off a bridal attire he personally sewed for a sky-high price!

This was more than just a piece of clothing; it was clearly a fortune!

"Ms. Lockhart, let me help you change into it," the staff member said gently.

Cecilia snapped back to reality. She wondered if this expensive gown was truly meant for her.

"Ms. Lockhart, this way please." the staff member invited her in, pulling the curtain closed before Cecilia could respond.

Meanwhile, as Seraphina was feeling a bit upset, another staff member approached her. "Ms. Everhart, your bridesmaid dress is over here."

It turned out she had one too. Her mood instantly improved as she happily followed the staff member to change into her dress. Just as she was feeling somewhat triumphant, the curtain was pulled open once again.

Seraphina realized that Cecilia had truly become her rival. She finally understood that beauty truly had no limits!
