Chapter 151 Helping Alaric Use the Bathroom

Cecilia was blushing hard.

"Does Alaric have no shame at all?"

She sighed, "Are you going to pee or not? If not, I'm leaving!"

"Who said I'm not?" Alaric grumbled.

Seeing Cecilia's blush, he decided to ease up. He liked seeing her like that.

Alaric shifted slightly.

Cecilia was still bent over, supporting him.

Due to his injuries, she acted carefully not to hurt him. "Does it hurt?" she asked, concerned.

"Are you worried?" Alaric smirked.

"I'm just uneasy," Cecilia replied.

"Women never admit their feelings," Alaric teased.

"Do you still need to go or not?" Cecilia snapped.

Alaric shut up, clearly desperate.

Cecilia carefully helped him out of bed.

The doctor said his right leg was broken, so he couldn't put weight on it. His left leg was okay, and his right arm was in a cast, but his left arm was usable. Cecilia had him put his left arm around her shoulder, and they hobbled to the bathroom.

Once they got there, she was about to leave when Alaric said, "Help me."

"What?" Cecilia asked.

"My pants."

"Can't you do it yourself?" Cecilia was exasperated.

"I can't stand steadily."

"That's a leg issue, not a hand issue," Cecilia tried to stay calm.

"I need my hands to support myself. One's in a cast, the other is holding the wall. Do I have a third hand?" Alaric retorted.

Seeing him struggle, Cecilia gave in.

She turned her face away and helped him with his hospital pants.

Just as she was about to leave, Alaric asked, "Do you know the standard posture for a man to pee?"

"Does it have to be a ritual?" Cecilia was annoyed.

"Come here, I'll tell you," Alaric said bluntly.

"Behave yourself, Alaric."

"Hurry, I can't hold it," Alaric's face was scrunched up.

He did look desperate.

"Then just pee," Cecilia was really fed up.

"If it's not the right posture, I can't," Alaric insisted.

"Hurry up," he urged.

Cecilia, about to leave, walked back to him.

Alaric whispered something in her ear.

Cecilia felt mortified.

"Alaric!"

"Come on, I got hurt because of you." Alaric played the pity card.

Cecilia was speechless. He was so heroic when he crashed into the car for her. Who'd believe this act?

In the end, she helped him as he instructed.

"How long are you going to take?" Cecilia's face was bright red.

"Good kidneys," Alaric said seriously.

Cecilia was at a loss for words.

Finally, Alaric finished, and Cecilia helped him back to bed.

Then she went to the bathroom to wash her hands repeatedly.

Just then, the doctor came in for rounds.

"Is the patient's family not here?" the doctor asked.

Cecilia quickly stepped out of the bathroom. "I'm here."

Alaric smiled at that. 'Family, huh,' he thought, his grin widening.

"Good. His injuries are mostly superficial, but he needs someone to take care of him. Be careful with the broken bones, and make sure he doesn't fall. His bones need time to heal," the doctor advised.

"Got it," Cecilia agreed.

The doctor examined Alaric, asked a few questions, and confirmed he was fine. "He can be discharged. After discharge, keep the wounds dry. No bathing for a week, just clean with water daily. Come back in a week for a check-up to see if the stitches can be removed, then he can bathe."

"Understood," Cecilia noted seriously.

"If there's any bleeding, pus, or fever, come to the hospital immediately," the doctor added.

"Okay," Cecilia nodded.

After the doctor finished, he left.

Cecilia repeated the instructions to herself, then turned to Alaric. "I'll go handle your discharge paperwork."

Alaric nodded, looking pleased.

Cecilia didn't want to guess if his good mood was because he was about to be discharged. All she could think about was helping him pee, and she felt like her hands were going to rot!

She quickly left the ward.

She saw Augustus still outside and remembered they had forgotten about him last night.

Augustus saw her expression and said seriously, "Mrs. Whitaker, I slept very well last night."

"You slept here?" Cecilia pointed to the chair next to him.

"I've slept in worse places."

Cecilia pursed her lips, unsure what to say. "I'm going to handle Alaric's discharge paperwork. Can you stay with him for a bit?"

"Sure."

As Cecilia left, she glanced back, watching Augustus walk into the ward. She always felt Augustus was very loyal to Alaric, probably not just because of the generous pay!

The more she got to know Alaric, the less she understood him. He seemed full of secrets.

Cecilia thoughtfully went to handle the discharge paperwork. In a VIP ward, there wasn't much to do; she just needed to sign, and the staff would handle the rest.

After finishing, she returned and opened the door.

She paused.

Rebecca was leaning against Alaric, looking very intimate. Augustus was on the balcony outside the ward.

She thought, if she had been a little later, would she have seen them having sex?

She felt inexplicably angry.

Despite his broken legs, he couldn't stop messing around.

Her eyes narrowed, and she said coldly, "Ms. Adams, are you recognizing the wrong man? Or... do you not know what it means to be with a married man?"

The pair froze at Cecilia's voice.

Both looked at Cecilia as she stood there, arms crossed, clearly imposing.
