Chapter 134 Cecilia and Alaric Kiss in Public

The Next Morning

Cecilia got up, washed up, did her makeup, and headed downstairs.

She was up a bit earlier than usual but still ran into Alaric on her way down.

Did Alaric get up this early every day? He was up really late yesterday morning.

Cecilia kept her cool, showing no reaction.

Alaric glanced at her and smiled slightly.

They sat at the dining table on the terrace.

George served breakfast and placed it in front of them.

The meal was quiet.

"Cecilia, did you sleep well last night?" Alaric suddenly asked.

Cecilia didn't answer. She didn't want to engage with him.

She was still upset about being forcibly kissed by Alaric yesterday.

Alaric chuckled lightly and didn't say anything more.

After breakfast, Cecilia went out, and Alaric followed.

Cecilia got into Augustus's car. Alaric got in, too.

Cecilia looked at him.

"You don't mind giving me a ride, do you?" Alaric smiled.

"I'm in a hurry," Cecilia refused.

"No problem, I'm not in a rush. Augustus can drop me off after," Alaric continued.

Cecilia gritted her teeth.

"Augustus, drive," Alaric ordered.

Of course, Augustus listened to Alaric. He started the car without asking Cecilia's opinion and drove out of the villa.

Cecilia turned her head to look out the window, clearly not wanting to engage with Alaric.

Alaric just watched the back of her head, smiling.

When Augustus stopped at a red light, he glanced back through the rearview mirror.

He had never seen this expression on Alaric's face before, so...

He couldn't even describe it.

In his memory, Alaric was always covered in blood and terror. He used to be terrified of him. But now Alaric was incredibly gentle.

Even someone like Augustus, who didn't understand love, felt a bit moved by Alaric's gaze.

"Augustus," Cecilia suddenly called him.

Augustus snapped back to reality, realizing the light had turned green and cars behind were honking.

His usually stoic face turned red for a second, and he continued driving seriously.

The car soon arrived at the Lockhart Group building.

Cecilia opened the door and got out.

She felt that if she stayed any longer, Alaric would see right through her.

Just as she was leaving, Alaric suddenly called out, "Cecilia."

Cecilia gritted her teeth but stopped.

Alaric got out of the car and walked up to her. At that moment, she saw him lower his head, his long fingers reaching towards her neck.

Cecilia was startled.

Alaric's long, clean fingers were adjusting her clothes.

She had checked her appearance carefully before leaving; there shouldn't have been any issues.

Alaric was putting on a show, making them look intimate.

At this peak hour, many people were coming and going. They were at the company entrance, and many people saw them.

Cecilia felt a bit embarrassed.

She said, "That's enough, Alaric."

Alaric kept smiling. He suddenly lowered his head and planted a light kiss on her forehead.

Cecilia's face turned bright red.

Did Alaric have to be so unpredictable? Kissing her in such a public place made her really shy.

She bit her lip lightly, her tense emotions slowly unraveling.

Luckily, Alaric only kissed her forehead. "See you tonight," he said, then turned and left.

Cecilia took a deep breath, composed herself, and walked into the Lockhart Group.

As soon as she entered, she noticed people giving her kind smiles. She didn't need to guess; the scene of Alaric dropping her off would quickly be the talk of the company.

She tried to stay calm and walked in.

Rose followed her and asked, "Isn't Mr. Harrington with you today?"

"He'll be here later," Cecilia replied. Augustus had taken Alaric.

Cecilia sat in her office chair and turned on her computer.

Rose reported, "At 10 AM, there's a department project meeting, which will last about an hour. All supervisors and relevant personnel have been notified. At 3 PM, Mrs. Whitaker, you need to visit the Tower of Light to understand the local traffic and environment. At 7 PM, there's a business dinner and a monthly high-society event hosted by the House of Everhart Bank. The chairman's secretary specifically asked you to attend."

"Okay," Cecilia nodded and asked, "Is Mr. Lockhart going?"

"The secretary said Mr. Lockhart will take you with him," Rose replied.

Cecilia smiled.

It seemed Theodore was serious about introducing her to the business world. He was already starting to make connections for her.

"Mrs. Whitaker, would you like some black coffee?" Rose asked after finishing her report.

"I'll have a cappuccino today. Black coffee is too bitter," Cecilia replied while working on her computer.

"Black coffee doesn't suit your mood today," Rose teased.

Cecilia turned to look at Rose.

Rose explained, "The scene of Mr. Whitaker personally dropping you off and saying goodbye has already spread throughout the company."

"Is your workload light today?" Cecilia's face darkened.

"I'm going to work now," Rose said respectfully, quickly leaving. As she turned, she couldn't help but add, "Everyone says Mr. Whitaker is very handsome and that you and he are a perfect match."

"Seems like your workload isn't heavy enough," Cecilia threatened.

"I'll make your coffee right away." Rose quickly left without another word.

Cecilia watched Rose's back. She couldn't help but curse Alaric again.

At that moment, Alaric, sitting in the car, suddenly sneezed.

Cassius, sitting next to him, said, "Bless you."

Then he asked, "Are you catching a cold?"

Alaric replied, "No, someone is thinking about me."

Cassius's face changed slightly.

Ever since Alaric had Cecilia, he had changed a lot. Was this still Alaric?

"Cassius," Alaric asked, "Do you think we can move our plan forward?"

Cassius was stunned.

Alaric then continued, "When Cecilia turns 25, I want to have a daughter."

Cassius was speechless.

Alaric had really gone mad. Was he willing to risk everything for Cecilia?

Cassius said unhappily, "No way."

Alaric's eyes narrowed.

Cassius added, "You won't have a daughter; you'll definitely have a bratty son."
