Chapter 94 Cecilia Officially Enters the Workforce

Dashiell couldn't control himself and vomited for a long time. By the end, his body was curled up.

Seraphina was really speechless.

She didn't know if Dashiell was trying to get back at her, unable to stand seeing her happy.

She had just kissed Sebastian, and he deliberately showed up and vomited on purpose.

Did she disgust him that much?!

Sebastian also looked at Dashiell at this moment, his expression changing slightly as he watched him.

After a long while, Dashiell calmed down.

Without turning to look at Seraphina and Sebastian, he simply said, "Sorry to interrupt, you can continue."

Seraphina was speechless; she was utterly disgusted!

Seraphina, fuming, watched as Dashiell's steps became unsteady and even a bit hurried as he left the doorway, walked into the villa's hall, and disappeared from their sight.

"It's getting late; we should go back and rest early too," Sebastian said, looking back at Seraphina's angry face and couldn't help but smile.

"Dashiell always seems to clash with me!" Seraphina gritted her teeth.

"Don't worry about him; it's not like you'll live with him forever," Sebastian comforted.

"Sebastian, I want to move out. I don't want to live under the same roof as Dashiell anymore," Seraphina suddenly said urgently. "Let's move in together."

Sebastian was stunned and only spoke after a long pause, "Aren't you afraid your dad won't agree?"

"He wouldn't dare. He just talks big but won't actually do anything to me," Seraphina said, holding Sebastian's hand. "Don't you want to live with me?"

Sebastian affectionately patted Seraphina's head. "I just don't want to live together before marriage. High society is full of gossip, and I don't want you to hear any unpleasant words..."

"Then let's get married," Seraphina said firmly.

Sebastian smiled faintly, with a hint of helplessness. "Seraphina, give me a little more time. I want to be able to support you with my own abilities, not let others think I'm relying on your family."

"Is public opinion that important?" Seraphina said sarcastically.

"I just don't want you to feel wronged."

"You don't even know what I want," Seraphina pushed Sebastian away and turned to leave.

"Seraphina." Sebastian grabbed her hand. "I know you don't want to stay under the same roof with Dashiell, his mother, or even your father, so you'd rather hang out at nightclubs than come home. I know your grievances, but please give me some time; I will make our future better."

Seraphina bit her lip, feeling a bit uncomfortable.

But finally she said, "Okay, I'll wait for you."

After all, she had waited for so many years; a few more wouldn't hurt.

"Seraphina, I love you," Sebastian said.

As if afraid Seraphina would hold a grudge against him, he confessed, though Sebastian wasn't much for sweet talk.

In the end, Seraphina softened towards Sebastian.

She relaxed her emotions and said, "It's late, you have work tomorrow, go rest early."

"Okay." Sebastian smiled gently.

Seraphina walked into the villa.

Every time, Sebastian would watch her leave until she disappeared from sight. Only then would the smile on his face completely fade, and his expression would turn livid.

The Next Day.

As soon as the alarm rang, Cecilia quickly turned it off and got up.

It was her first day at work, so she couldn't be late.

She got up early, quickly washed up, changed clothes, put on makeup, and went downstairs.

Downstairs,

George Clark was tidying up. Seeing her come down, he quickly approached. "Mrs. Whitaker."

"Why don't you call me Ms. Lockhart," Cecilia said, feeling uncomfortable with the title.

"Mr. Whitaker won't allow it." George replied.

"Mr. Whitaker said it's your first day at work, so he asked me to prepare breakfast for you early. Would you like to have breakfast now?" George asked respectfully.

"Okay, thank you," Cecilia smiled.

Sometimes, she was touched by Alaric's attention to such small details.

Cecilia sat at the dining table.

There was already a newspaper on the table, clearly already read.

She couldn't help but ask, "Is Alaric awake?"

George replied, "Mr. Whitaker has an early flight today."

"Flight?" Cecilia was surprised. "Where is he going?"

"Mr. Whitaker didn't say," George said as he placed breakfast in front of Cecilia. "He just asked me to arrange for Augustus to pick him up early."

Cecilia felt a bit uncomfortable.

How could Alaric just leave like that!

"Mrs. Whitaker, please enjoy your breakfast."

"Thank you."

George stood beside Cecilia.

Cecilia felt a bit uneasy and said, "George, go about your business. You don't need to stay with me. If I need anything, I'll call you."

"Okay, Mrs. Whitaker." George quickly left.

Cecilia ate breakfast while watching George busy around the villa.

Was George the only one in such a big place?!

Could he handle it all?!

Cecilia thought silently.

After breakfast, she checked the time and prepared to leave. As she was about to go out, she saw a stack of plane tickets in George's hand and was a bit surprised. "Are those Alaric's?"

"Mr. Whitaker often travels."

"So frequently?" Cecilia frowned.

There were at least twenty or thirty tickets.

"Recently, he traveled more frequently to prepare for your wedding," George explained. "It's not usually this much."

Cecilia pursed her lips. So, Alaric had really put a lot of effort into preparing for the wedding?!

Why did she feel like it wasn't just for show?!

Cecilia told herself not to overthink it. Once she made up her mind, she shouldn't overturn it.

She said, "George, I'm off to work."

"Mrs. Whitaker, be careful on the road."

"Okay."

Cecilia left.

She took the car keys and drove the red Maserati out of the garage.

No need to guess, a car with such a bright color must have been chosen by Alaric, fitting his taste.

Cecilia parked the car under the Lockhart Group building.

Then, she took a deep breath, maintained her best state, and walked into the grand and luxurious lobby of the Lockhart Group. The place was magnificent and spectacular.

The first thing she saw was a spacious area with a luxurious style. The crystal chandeliers on the ceiling refracted a dreamy array of colors from every angle. Six elegant receptionists at the front desk respectfully greeted all employees and visitors.

Cecilia walked past them.

Then she entered the access control area and scanned her face.

Verification passed.

A confident smile appeared on Cecilia's lips.

Once, she had dimmed her own light and voluntarily gave up her promising life!

In this new life, she was determined to rewrite her story!
