Chapter 796 Sharing the Same Bed

In Alaric's hospital room.

Cassius was truly shocked.

The reconciliation between Alaric and Cecilia happened way too fast.

It really is true that couples can make up quickly after a fight!

He could finally breathe a little easier.

He nudged Dashiell next to him, "Cecilia still has some feelings for Alaric, right?"

Dashiell glanced at Cassius but said nothing.

Cassius had the illusion that Dashiell was looking at an idiot.

He was about to lose his temper.

Then he heard Alaric calling him, "Cassius."

Cassius hurriedly walked in from the balcony outside.

Dashiell followed him in.

"Get ready for discharge," Alaric instructed.

"Okay," Cassius nodded.

"Cecilia's health isn't great. Arrange for 24-hour care from the hospital."

"Okay."

"Also, you take Juniper back to Astralton City," Alaric instructed.

As Cassius nodded, he glanced at Juniper beside him.

Juniper smiled innocently and said, "I came here to persuade Cecilia. Now that she's better, I should head back."

Cassius thought Juniper was quite magnanimous.

He seemed to have a better impression of Juniper.

At first, when Tomas forced Alaric and Juniper together, he actually disliked Juniper, thinking she lacked her own opinions.

Now he suddenly felt that she was just forced into it.

"But Alaric," Juniper stood up from the sofa.

She walked towards Alaric.

Alaric had already closed his laptop, not in the mood to handle work matters.

"My dad has mentioned several times that since you just took office, you should stay in Astralton City more. After I go back, I'll tell my dad that you're not feeling well and need to recuperate. He can cover for you for now, but this can't go on forever. Try to come back as soon as possible. I believe Cecilia will understand," Juniper said gently.

It sounded like everything was for Alaric's good.

Everything was for his consideration.

Her words were indeed impeccable.

Alaric responded with a sound.

"You nod, I'll take it as you agreeing," Juniper said with a bright smile.

"Okay."

"Then I'll leave the hospital with you all later. You take Cecilia home, and I'll go to the airport with Cassius."

"Okay."

Juniper didn't say much more.

She seemed like a very easy-going person.

Cassius busied himself with preparing for the discharge.

The group left the hospital.

Cecilia walked in front.

Alaric and Juniper walked behind.

Cecilia got into the car first, waiting for Alaric.

Alaric escorted Juniper to her car.

Before getting in, Juniper said to Alaric, "Take care of your health. Your health is very important now; the Yakurosean Empire depends on you."

Alaric nodded, "You take care of yourself too. And..."

"And the baby, right?" Juniper smiled slightly.

"Yes."

"Don't worry, I'll take good care of him," Juniper said. "But the baby is really well-behaved. In the three months I've been pregnant, everyone says there will be morning sickness, but I haven't felt anything. It's like having an angel baby."

Alaric was visibly moved when talking about the baby.

His facial expressions showed slight changes.

Cecilia really didn't want to watch them say goodbye.

But the car's position allowed her to see their interaction clearly.

She could even hear their conversation.

Because the driver hadn't closed the door.

Without closing the door, there was no soundproofing.

She heard Alaric instruct Juniper, "No matter what, be careful."

"Okay," Juniper agreed readily.

Her obedience formed a stark contrast to Cecilia's attitude towards Alaric.

"Then I'll get in the car," Juniper said.

Alaric nodded.

Juniper turned to get into the car.

Suddenly, she gagged.

Alaric hurriedly supported Juniper.

Juniper held her stomach, seemingly uncomfortable.

"What's wrong?" Alaric asked.

"It's just, my stomach feels a bit uncomfortable, but it's nothing," Juniper said painfully.

"Do you want some water?"

"No need, it'll pass soon," Juniper said.

At that moment, she tightly held onto Alaric's hand.

Cecilia shifted her gaze.

She looked at the bustling streets of Serenovia City.

Juniper endured for a while.

She seemed to have recovered and said, "It seems I can't mention the baby. As soon as I do, he starts to protest."

Alaric looked at her nervously.

"It's okay now, I feel better," Juniper smiled. "I'll go now."

"Okay."

Juniper let go of Alaric's hand.

She got into the car.

Once inside, she smiled secretly.

Cecilia must have seen everything.

Seeing it was good.

She was never here to reconcile Cecilia and Alaric.

Her goal was to bring herself and Alaric together.

Cassius sat in the front passenger seat.

Alaric gave Cassius a few more instructions before letting them leave.

After the car left.

Alaric returned to the car where Cecilia was sitting.

He sat next to Cecilia.

Cecilia didn't reject him, nor did she show any emotional reaction.

George sat in the front passenger seat.

Dashiell had many things to handle, so he went his own way.

The car drove slowly towards The Whitaker Villa.

Cecilia saw many cars surrounding theirs, clearly for protection.

Alaric's status had indeed changed significantly.

Cecilia silently thought about these things.

She didn't initiate a conversation.

Alaric didn't speak either.

He wanted to say something but chose to remain silent because of Cecilia's quietness.

The car arrived at The Whitaker Villa.

A bodyguard opened the car door for Cecilia.

As soon as Cecilia got out.

A pair of large hands supported her arm.

Cecilia pressed her lips together but didn't refuse.

Alaric's stiff hand trembled slightly because Cecilia didn't reject him.

He calmed himself, then helped Cecilia out of the car and into the villa.

The Whitaker Villa was as clean as ever, even after a few days of not being lived in.

Cecilia was somewhat relieved. At least she liked the environment here.

"I want to rest in my room for a bit," Cecilia said.

"Okay," Alaric nodded.

He seemed overly cautious with Cecilia.

He helped Cecilia into the room and onto the bed.

He said, "You sleep for a while. I'll have George make something you like to eat for when you wake up."

"Okay," Cecilia nodded.

"Then you sleep," Alaric said, tucking her in.

He then got up to leave.

"Aren't you going to sleep?" Cecilia suddenly asked him.

Alaric froze.

He really thought he had misheard.

"You probably didn't sleep well in the hospital," Cecilia said. "If you want to rest, go ahead."
