Chapter 737 Seraphina's Regret and Breakdown

Atticus was so angry that his chest hurt.

He even felt a bit dizzy.

His health had indeed been poor lately due to high blood pressure.

He quickly tried to calm himself down.

Maybe he didn't need to take medication; he might really have had a stroke.

"Atticus." Sebastian didn't get a response, and his tone remained cold. "Don't think about calling the police or trying any other way to save Seraphina. As soon as I notice anything unusual, I'll kill Seraphina. Don't doubt my cruelty. From the beginning, I approached you all with revenge in mind!"

With that, Sebastian abruptly hung up the phone!

Seraphina, standing nearby, stared at Sebastian in disbelief.

She couldn't believe he could say such vicious words.

She couldn't believe he would go this far.

He actually wanted Atticus to kill himself?

She wanted to kill Sebastian.

Sebastian leisurely put the phone aside.

He looked at Seraphina with a faint smile, "Now you know who I am, right?"

Seraphina continued to stare at him with wide eyes.

"And you know why I approached you." Sebastian reached out and tore the cloth from Seraphina's mouth.

"Sebastian, you devil!" Seraphina roared.

"No, I'm not. Atticus is. If Atticus had funded us back then, my family wouldn't have gone bankrupt. If we hadn't gone bankrupt, my parents wouldn't have died, and I wouldn't have been sent to an orphanage. Seraphina, you have no idea what it's like to lose everything. You don't know what it's like for a once-happy family to fall apart!"

"My dad wouldn't do such a thing!" Seraphina couldn't believe Atticus would go that far.

Even though she didn't like Atticus, she didn't believe he would be so cruel.

"Did you know I would do this to you before you saw me like this?" Sebastian mocked.

Seraphina bit her lip.

"When have you ever accurately judged someone's character?"

She was just foolish.

She chose Sebastian, the devil, over Dashiell!

"Seraphina, did you know? I once gave up on revenge for you." Sebastian's tone was indifferent.

Now, whatever he said seemed like a plain statement of facts.

No excitement, no anger.

Yet, it was unbearably cruel.

"If you had loved me wholeheartedly, I might have just taken your family's wealth without harming your family. I even thought about sparing Atticus, sparing the real culprit who ruined my family. You don't know how I grew up, so you don't know how long I struggled to get to this point. However..." Sebastian's eyes tightened, "You ultimately couldn't change a malicious person. You ultimately pushed me to this desperate point."

"What did I do! What did I do!" Seraphina screamed at him.

If she had known Sebastian had ulterior motives, she would never have let him get close to her!

"What did you do, you still don't know?" Sebastian retorted.

"I originally liked Dashiell. You were the one who came between us!" Seraphina said fiercely.

"Yes! I stole your love, so I thought I could be redeemed by you. But, Seraphina, you really disappointed me. Even after knowing you liked Dashiell, I never thought about really killing you and Atticus. I was still thinking, I would just take the Everhart family's wealth to compensate for the harm done to my family over the years. Once I took your wealth, I would treat you better, even treat Atticus like family. I could give up all my hatred. But you still pushed me step by step to this point."

"Do you know who caused the elevator accident tonight?" Sebastian suddenly asked Seraphina.

Seraphina was startled.

"Yes, it was me." Sebastian admitted, "Tonight's elevator accident was my attempt to kill Dashiell. Because as long as Dashiell is around, I can't get Everhart Bank. His abilities far exceeded my expectations, so I had to kill him. Who knew, so late at night, you were still with him. What were you doing? Dating? Even so, I ultimately gave up killing Dashiell for you."

Seraphina suddenly remembered that in the elevator, Dashiell had told the security guard to inform Sebastian first.

So Dashiell had known all along that the elevator accident was caused by Sebastian.

Only she knew nothing.

Indeed, she was the most foolish person in the world.

Her foolishness might get Atticus killed, might get Dashiell killed, and might even get herself killed.

"I really gave you many chances." Sebastian coldly watched Seraphina's breakdown; his whole demeanor had turned indifferent. He said, "If you had slept with me tonight, if you hadn't hit me with the vase, I wouldn't have gone this far. Seraphina, everything that's happening now is your own doing."

"It's me, it's all me!" Seraphina shouted, "It's my incompetence, my foolishness! So since it's all my fault, come at me! Kill me, kill me!"

"Don't worry, you won't live either." Sebastian said coldly, "We've come this far, your existence is a threat to me. But before you die, I need to get the Everhart family's wealth, and I need Atticus to die first."

"You're insane! You're a madman!" Seraphina couldn't stop her tears.

How had she been deceived by Sebastian back then?

If Sebastian hadn't confessed himself, she wouldn't even know he was this kind of person!

She was so foolish, she deserved to die.

But she didn't want to drag anyone else down with her.

"I am indeed mad." Sebastian said coldly, "Driven mad by you."

"You'll go to hell!" Seraphina cursed.

Sebastian sneered.

Death didn't really matter to him anymore.

His eyes flickered.

At that moment, Seraphina also sensed a slight movement in the room.

Their eyes turned towards the door.

The door opened.

A woman walked in.

Seraphina didn't recognize her.

But it was clear Sebastian was very familiar with her.

The woman was carrying a food box.

She walked towards Sebastian, "Sebastian, here's the breakfast you asked me to get."

Sebastian smiled at the woman, looking very affectionate, "You weren't noticed by anyone, right?"

"No," the woman said.

"That's good." Sebastian nodded.

He turned to Seraphina and said, "Want some breakfast?"

"No!" Seraphina said coldly.

"Suit yourself." Sebastian said to the woman, gently, "Clio, let's eat."
