Chapter 353 Seraphina Was So Infuriated by Magnolia That She Felt as if She Could Spit Blood

In the living room.

It was clearly only 7 am, Magnolia, Dashiell, and Lucy were already awake.

They seemed to be chatting, and the atmosphere was very harmonious.

Magnolia asked again, "How was sleeping on the couch last night? Was it uncomfortable?"

"It was fine," Dashiell replied, showing no emotion.

"I see you have heavy dark circles." Magnolia scrutinized Dashiell.

"Maybe I stayed up a bit late," Dashiell deflected.

"Mr. Rainier, why don't you sleep in my room tonight? It's so uncomfortable for you to sleep on the couch," Lucy quickly said.

She felt extremely guilty.

After all, she was just a servant; how could she occupy the master's bedroom?

"No need." Dashiell insisted.

Lucy retorted, "But the doctor said your leg is in the recovery period and you shouldn't sleep on something too soft. This morning, I saw you sinking into the couch, which is definitely not good for your recovery."

"It won't be a problem; don't overthink it," Dashiell denied.

"But..." Lucy wanted to say something more.

Seraphina suddenly walked over.

She stood there a while, unnoticed by anyone.

She questioned whether these individuals were intentionally ignoring her.

She walked up to them and said straightforwardly, "Lucy, I'm hungry."

Lucy quickly responded, "Breakfast is ready; I'll serve it right away."

Seraphina went straight to the dining table.

She didn't greet Magnolia or Dashiell.

Magnolia and Dashiell were used to it.

If Seraphina suddenly became friendly one day, they might not be able to handle it.

At this moment, Magnolia and Dashiell also went to the dining table.

Seraphina frowned.

"We haven't eaten either!" Magnolia said bluntly, her tone clearly not good.

Seraphina thought, rolling her eyes. 'You haven't eaten, so what's the use of getting upset?'

Lucy quickly placed breakfast on the table.

Due to Seraphina's pregnancy and morning sickness, she prepared oatmeal porridge.

It had to be said, as Seraphina ate the oatmeal porridge, her stomach did feel a bit more comfortable.

"Have an egg," Magnolia suddenly said.

She placed a poached egg in front of Seraphina.

Seraphina glanced at it and refused, "I don't want to eat it."

"Eggs are good for the baby." Magnolia suggested.

"He isn't good to me, so why should I be good to him?" Seraphina said matter-of-factly.

"How do you know he isn't good to you? Have you given birth yet?" Magnolia retorted.

"No need to give birth; he already makes me feel like I'm dying," Seraphina said through gritted teeth while eating her porridge.

Magnolia frowned.

Sometimes, Magnolia really felt she couldn't communicate with Seraphina.

Seraphina's intelligence was truly worrying.

"Her pregnancy symptoms is very severe," Dashiell suddenly explained.

Magnolia, enlightened, then said, "Pregnancy is like that. When I was pregnant with Dashiell, I threw up every day for the first three months, even bile! It got better after three months."

"Do I have to wait three months?" Seraphina couldn't help but ask.

It's only been a month.

Three months would be unbearable.

Magnolia replied, "Three months is considered good. Some people throw up until they give birth!"

Seraphina stared straight at Magnolia.

Magnolia ignored Seraphina's emotions.

She continued eating her breakfast.

Yet she didn't force Seraphina to eat the egg anymore.

Magnolia knew very well how miserable morning sickness could be.

The dinner table fell silent when Magnolia, suddenly reminded of something, looked up at Seraphina.

Seraphina frowned.

Magnolia's stare gave her the creeps.

What was this old woman up to now?

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Seraphina was extremely annoyed.

Magnolia responded in a wistful tone, "Could it be that you're carrying a son?"

Because the symptoms were similar to when she was pregnant with Dashiell: severe morning sickness and a craving for in the early stages.

Magnolia only wanted to take oatmeal porridge.

Seraphina rolled her eyes.

She thought it was something important.

Dashiell also secretly breathed a sigh of relief at that moment.

He had thought something had happened.

Seraphina said directly, "A boy would be great; I want a boy."

Whatever Magnolia liked, she disliked!

Magnolia stared at Seraphina, displeased.

"And I have a feeling it's a boy!" Seraphina added, feeling smug.

Magnolia smiled, and it was a clearly sinister smile.

Then, Seraphina heard Magnolia say, "It would be good if the boy looked like Dashiell."

Seraphina was so infuriated by Magnolia that she felt as if she could spit blood.

She didn't want to have a boy that looked like Dashiell!

If he looked like Dashiell, she feared she would abuse him!

"Dashiell, do you want a boy or a girl?" Magnolia didn't care about Seraphina's feelings and suddenly asked Dashiell.

Dashiell was slightly stunned.

Because he hadn't thought that far ahead.

He always thought Seraphina's pregnancy seemed surreal, and the child made him question if it was an illusion.

But at this moment, Dashiell still answered, "A girl."

A girl who was like Seraphina.

"I knew you were like me, preferring a girl," Magnolia seemed to be in a good mood.

Dashiell also smiled, looking like he was in a good mood.

Seraphina was really fed up with them.

She secretly gritted her teeth, determined to have a boy.

A boy who looked like her, which pissed off them.

"That's why I need to move in here," Magnolia suddenly concluded.

Seraphina and Dashiell didn't understand what Magnolia meant.

Magnolia continued, "I heard that during pregnancy, the more a pregnant woman looks at someone, the more the baby will look like that person when born."

Seraphina rolled her eyes.

Magnolia believed in such superstition?

It was laughable.

"If the baby looks like Seraphina, wouldn't my granddaughter be at a disadvantage from birth?" Magnolia said seriously.

Seraphina was furious, "Who are you calling ugly?"

"You know exactly who I'm talking about," Magnolia replied.

"I don't think I'm ugly," Seraphina felt that Magnolia was deliberately trying to anger her.

If she died of anger, Magnolia could inherit all of Atticus' estate!

"You're definitely not as good-looking as me," Magnolia said bluntly.

Seraphina gritted her teeth.

Magnolia was indeed beautiful.

Even at her age, she still looked stunning and impressive.

Seraphina's looks were a bit more ordinary, but definitely not ugly. She was still quite stylish, and she had a good figure.

However, such looks would still be considered lacking in the presence of Magnolia.

"And you are not as good-looking as Dashiell," Magnolia added.

Seraphina wanted to spit blood in Magnolia's face!

What's so great about being good-looking?

Dashiell looked like Magnolia, and being handsome couldn't keep him fed.

Seraphina suddenly thought, 'if Dashiell becomes a gigolo...'

Fuck.

This world that valued appearances above all!

She thought Dashiell could make a fortune!

"I'm done," Seraphina put down her utensils.

Actually, she wasn't really angry.

She just couldn't eat anymore.

Despite her hunger, she always found herself unable to consume much when she actually started eating.

Before leaving the dining table, she said, "Lucy, accompany me to the mall later; I need to buy some things."
