Chapter 502 With Seraphina's Apology, Dashiell Remains Indifferent

Seraphina always felt like things with Dashiell were just... off.

But they worked at the same company. Couldn't they just get along?

Every time she went up to Dashiell, it felt like she was making a fool of herself.

She clenched her teeth.

With her personality, she wasn't about to back down just because he didn't like her.

Honestly, whether Dashiell liked her or not didn't matter; she wasn't going to care about someone who didn't matter.

"What's up?" Dashiell's voice was icy.

His words had this indifferent vibe.

Seraphina didn't respond. She walked right up to Dashiell and plopped a shopping bag on his desk. "This is for you."

Dashiell frowned.

"Didn't I puke all over you that night?" Seraphina felt a bit uneasy.

Thinking back to that night was still super embarrassing.

Later, lying in bed at home, she wondered how grossed out someone as clean-freak as Dashiell must have felt.

She, who rarely had insomnia, couldn't sleep the whole weekend.

All she could think about was Dashiell's look of utter disgust.

So she couldn't hold back any longer and went to the mall to pick out some clothes to apologize to Dashiell.

"No need," Dashiell said coldly. "Take it back."

"I already bought it," Seraphina said, a bit annoyed.

Did Dashiell really need to be so cold to her?

"You can return it."

"I never return things I buy!" Seraphina snapped.

"How you handle it is your business," Dashiell said in that same cold tone.

Seraphina clenched her teeth and glared at him.

If it weren't for the fact that she was in the wrong that night, she would've dumped the trash can on Dashiell right now.

She used to find Dashiell annoying, always hovering around her.

But it never got to the point where she wanted to hit him.

She tried to keep her cool and said, "Whether you want it or not is your business. I've apologized, so let's call it even for that night."

Dashiell's expression didn't change.

So Seraphina just wanted to clear things up between them.

He knew very well that what Seraphina feared most was owing someone.

But he didn't need to cater to all her feelings.

To put it bluntly, why should he make her feel better?

He had no obligation to do so now.

Dashiell watched as Seraphina left after saying her piece, looking like she was afraid he would refuse.

Dashiell pursed his lips.

He picked up the shopping bag and tossed it into the nearby trash can.

Seraphina heard the noise and turned around.

She saw the clothes she had bought, which Dashiell hadn't even looked at, tossed aside because the trash can was too small. The shopping bag lay next to the overturned trash can.

Seraphina felt a surge of anger.

Dashiell calmly picked up the internal phone, ordering, "Send someone to clean up the trash."

Trash?

She clenched her teeth and stormed over, picking up the clothes Dashiell had thrown on the ground without a glance, and left in a huff.

She must have been crazy to apologize.

Dashiell, that jerk, wasn't worth it.

Why did she even throw up on him that night?

She should have thrown up all over his face to really disgust him.

The door slammed shut with a bang, echoing through the room.

Dashiell looked up.

His Adam's apple bobbed, but he kept his emotions in check.

Seraphina stormed back to her office, fuming.

She must've been out of her mind trying to please that jerk Dashiell.

She was so mad her face twisted, wanting to barge into Dashiell's office and give him a piece of her mind.

She wanted to strangle him!

At that moment, her phone rang.

Seraphina snapped out of her daydream of beating up Dashiell.

She glanced at the caller ID, took a deep breath to calm down, and answered, "Hello, Sebastian."

Sebastian had eyes on both Seraphina and Dashiell.

So he knew their every move.

He had just heard that Seraphina had gone straight to Dashiell's office in the morning. Although she came out fuming, it was never a good sign when Seraphina sought out Dashiell.

He said, "Let's have dinner tonight."

"Didn't you say you've been swamped with work lately?" Seraphina was a bit surprised.

Ever since the Kingsley Group fiasco with the fake documents, Sebastian had been working overtime to fix his mistake, and they hadn't had dinner together in a while.

"Today is a special day," Sebastian said directly.

Seraphina frowned.

Then it hit her, "It's your birthday."

She had remembered a few days ago, but Dashiell had made her so mad today that she completely forgot.

"Yep." Sebastian nodded. "I've made dinner reservations."

"Okay," Seraphina agreed immediately. Then she asked excitedly, "What do you want for a gift?"

"Just having you with me is enough," Sebastian said softly.

"Really?" Seraphina asked.

"Really," Sebastian said firmly.

"Well," Seraphina said with a sly smile. "Then, I won't prepare anything."

"Okay."

They chatted sweetly for a few more minutes.

By the time Seraphina hung up, she felt much better.

She thought, rather than letting Dashiell get to her, she should spend more time with Sebastian.

After all, Sebastian was her true love.

As for Dashiell, he was just a nobody!

Seraphina took the afternoon off.

Everyone was used to her taking time off.

Seraphina headed straight to the formal wear section of the international mall.

It was Sebastian's birthday today, and she wanted to give him a big surprise.

She decided to give herself to him on his birthday.

She picked out a particularly sexy lace slip dress, covered it with a white mink coat to hide her sexy figure, adding a touch of sophistication, playfulness, and warmth.

After all, the Serenovia City was already in the depths of winter.

She didn't want to catch a cold while giving herself to him.

Her hair fell softly over her shoulders, styled and made up by professionals, making her look incredibly alluring.

Seraphina also wore a pair of ultra-high black rhinestone heels, instantly elongating her figure, making her look slender and tall.

In terms of beauty, she wasn't exactly drop-dead gorgeous.

But when it came to charisma, she never lost to anyone.

That alluring figure, that enchanting demeanor, even without speaking, could truly captivate everyone.
