Chapter 613 Have Many Children
Francis suddenly jumped up from the couch.
Cecilia was still a bit jittery, not sure what he was gonna do next.
"Cecilia, welcome to our home!" Francis said with a sincere bow.
Cecilia felt touched.
She thought, 'No matter how cold Francis might seem to Alaric, I've already accepted him as a brother.'
With that thought, Cecilia stood up and extended her hand. "Please take care of me in the future," she said.
Francis smiled and shook her hand. They shared a knowing smile, understanding that some bonds, like family, don't need words.
Just then, the door swung open.
Alaric walked in, frowning slightly at the sight of them.
Francis quickly let go of Cecilia's hand and said, "It's late, I need my beauty sleep." Then he slipped out of the room.
Cecilia watched him leave and then turned to Alaric as he approached her.
Alaric, ever the possessive one, took Cecilia's hand and said, "Let's go, I'll take you to bed."
"Did you finish talking with Hugo already?" Cecilia asked.
Alaric nodded, "Yeah."
"Did Hugo come to you so late for something important?" Cecilia asked, a bit worried.
Ever since she learned about Alaric's true identity, she felt like danger was always lurking.
Alaric hesitated for a moment.
"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I trust you," Cecilia quickly added, worried she might have overstepped.
Alaric patted her head and said, "Since I brought you here, I have no secrets from you. I didn't tell you before because I was afraid you couldn't handle it."
Cecilia felt moved again.
How could someone from such a brutal world be so gentle?
Alaric continued, "Hugo found out I brought you here and came to question me."
"Were you punished?" Cecilia asked, concerned.
Alaric shook his head, "No, I'm grown now. Hugo doesn't punish me anymore. I explained everything to him, and he was just a bit upset."
"If it were me, I'd probably be upset too."
Alaric said, "Don't worry about it. He's just upset because he didn't expect me to love you so much. He always thought I could become the heir to the Royal Family of Whitaker. Now that he sees how much I love you, he knows I have no such ambition. So he took it out on me."
"Actually, Francis is more suited to be the heir to the Royal Family of Whitaker. You'll see," Alaric said, clearly respecting Francis.
"Have you ever, even for a second, thought about becoming the heir to the Royal Family of Whitaker?" Cecilia asked, watching Alaric closely.
"Not even for a second," Alaric replied confidently.
Cecilia always thought Alaric had big ambitions.
In her past life, Alaric's abilities made her think his political ambitions were no less than Dominic's.
Alaric continued, "All I want to do is help Francis regain his position of power."
"I see." Cecilia nodded firmly.
She believed in Alaric.
She even worried that Alaric might have such ambitions.
After all, she didn't want to share Alaric with the whole country.
Alaric asked, "By the way, what did Francis say to you?" He and Cecilia walked to their bedroom, hand in hand, chatting.
The rare tranquility and peace made Cecilia feel secure.
"He talked about your childhood, said you often beat him up," Cecilia mentioned.Alaric's face darkened a bit. "Francis is still tattling at his age? Why doesn't he mention that every time I beat him up, I always treated him better afterward?"
"He did, and it made me jealous," Cecilia teased.
Alaric looked at her, amused.
"Well, he did meet you before I did," Cecilia said.
Alaric chuckled softly, clearly a doting smile.
"He gave me this bracelet," Cecilia said, showing it to him.
Alaric didn't seem surprised at all. "If he gave it to you, just keep it."
"I was thinking, even if Francis feels his relationship with his girlfriend isn't great, he surely won't dislike his child. I can keep it for his kid in the future!"
Alaric laughed. "You really think ahead!"
Cecilia felt pretty smart herself.
They chatted and laughed as they headed back to the bedroom and lay down on the big bed.
But Cecilia couldn't sleep. After napping all day, she wasn't tired at all.
Alaric didn't sleep either, just stayed beside her.
They held hands, their feet touching.
The whole island was so quiet it felt like it was just the two of them.
Cecilia suddenly longed for this kind of life—no more troubles, just a simple and happy existence. She imagined having one, two, three, or even four kids.
Cecilia suddenly burst into laughter.
Just because Alaric wanted kids, she found herself wanting to have many kids with him.
"What are you laughing at?" Alaric asked gently.
Cecilia replied, "Just happy."
Alaric asked, "What made you so happy?"
Cecilia said, "Life is good."
With that, she laughed even more brightly.
She suddenly turned over and pressed down on Alaric.
Alaric's breathing became noticeably heavier.
He really couldn't stand teasing, not even a little. Sometimes even a look was too much.
Cecilia asked, "Do you want a child?"
At this, Alaric held Cecilia and pressed her down, making love passionately.
The room was filled with the sounds of their intimacy.
Occasionally, a few soft moans could be heard outside the room.
Meanwhile, Francis looked at Hugo with a very satisfied expression.
Hugo's face was dark. "I told you to recite, why are you looking at me!"
Clearly, Hugo was taking his anger out on Francis.
Francis had long known that Hugo wanted Alaric to inherit the Royal Family of Whitaker but couldn't force Alaric.
Hugo just couldn't stand it but couldn't beat Alaric, and had been frustrated for decades.
Whenever he got frustrated, he would torment Francis.
Francis was used to it.
He suddenly got up, walked to the window, and closed it.
Seeing this, Hugo exclaimed, "If such a small noise can distract you, how can you handle big things in the future!"
"Hugo, I was worried you were distracted." Francis said deliberately, "After all, we young people are used to this kind of thing, but with your current health, I'm worried one time might be your limit…"
Hugo's face turned red with anger, but just as he was about to lose his temper, Francis passionately recited the passage Hugo had just tested him on, and Hugo's anger gradually subsided.
Having watched Alaric grow up and change over the years, Hugo felt a deep attachment to him and was biased in thinking that the Whitaker Royal Family should be inherited by the best. But Alaric was unwilling, and Hugo sighed. Maybe Francis was indeed the better choice.
Alaric was too emotional, really not suitable for this position.
But Francis, no matter what doubts he faced or what pain he endured, always maintained a calm attitude. Such a person was truly the most qualified politician!
