Chapter 302 Turning Point of Fate II: Conspiracy

Seraphina arrived at the nightclub, the energy inside instantly enveloping her. Her old friends, a lively bunch, were perched on barstools, drinks in hand, swaying to the pulsating music.

The atmosphere was electric, with lights flashing and the crowd buzzing with excitement.

"Seraphina!" one of the girls shouted over the music, waving her over with enthusiasm. She handed Seraphina a glass of liquor. "Here you go. Let's have a drink and then hit the dance floor."

Feeling a bit out of practice, Seraphina didn't hesitate. She downed the drink in one go. It had been a few days since she'd been out, and the familiar environment, combined with the lively crowd, stirred her excitement.

Unbeknownst to her, the woman who had handed her the drink gave a subtle OK sign towards a dark corner of the club. There, Penelope, lurking in the shadows, smirked with malevolent satisfaction.

Penelope's brother had been complaining about Cecilia, how she was nearly impossible to handle and seemed to have become a formidable force. Even Penelope herself had faced setbacks with Cecilia. It was hard to admit, but Cecilia had indeed become quite powerful.

Yet, Seraphina, Cecilia's closest friend, was proving to be so much easier to manipulate.

Penelope didn't need to put in much effort; Seraphina was already falling right into her trap. She smiled wickedly as she checked her watch.

In about ten minutes, Sebastian should arrive.

Penelope sipped her drink leisurely, waiting for Sebastian.

Meanwhile, Seraphina had already consumed several more drinks. Drinking quickly had made her tipsy, and as she got more inebriated, she became more prone to losing control.

Usually, she avoided getting too drunk by hitting the dance floor whenever she started feeling tipsy. The vigorous dancing would help burn off the alcohol and keep her from getting too intoxicated.

Tonight was no different. She pulled a few friends with her onto the dance floor, moving to the beat of the music, dancing energetically.

Maybe it was the excitement of not having been here for a few days, but she felt a bit overheated, flushed with warmth.

Penelope watched Seraphina from her darkened corner. Seraphina's dancing was mesmerizing—her grace, her sinuous movements, and her wild, sexy expression made her the center of attention.

"Looking for me?" Sebastian's voice cut through, startling Penelope. She turned to face him.

Penelope had to admit Seraphina had a way of driving men wild. Watching her earlier had made Penelope a bit envious.

"Have a seat," Penelope said, deliberately omitting any mention of Seraphina's presence.

"I'd rather not be here," Sebastian replied bluntly. "If we're going to discuss business, we should do it somewhere else."

"Well, I happen to like it here," Penelope said with a stubborn edge, her tone reflecting her spoiled, high-maintenance persona.

Sebastian hesitated for a moment but eventually took a seat next to Penelope.

Penelope casually handed him a drink.

Sebastian glanced at it and said, "I don't drink."

"Then why come to a place like this?" Penelope shot back, raising an eyebrow.

"I thought you had something to discuss," Sebastian replied bluntly.

"I do have something to discuss," Penelope insisted, "but first, you need to have a drink."

Sebastian hesitated for a moment before downing the glass in one go.

Penelope's lips curved into a smug smile. "Seraphina's here," she said casually.

Sebastian's expression shifted immediately.

"What's there to be scared of?" Penelope frowned. "She's a regular here, and she's known for partying hard. You're just a visitor—what's she going to do, criticize you?"

"What do you want from me?" Sebastian snapped, clearly losing patience.

"Cooperation," Penelope said simply.

"Cooperation for what?"

"To break up Seraphina and Dashiell."

"You have a plan?" Sebastian asked.

"I do," Penelope said flatly. "As long as you're with Seraphina, she won't be with Dashiell."

"I've said it before—Dashiell has put too much effort into this to just let Seraphina go so easily…"

"What if you slept with Seraphina?" Penelope's grin was sharp and malicious.

Sebastian's eyes narrowed.

"Look at her over there," Penelope said, gesturing toward the dance floor. "She's wild, isn't she?"

Sebastian followed her gaze and saw Seraphina dancing provocatively in the center of the floor, her figure and moves commanding attention.

"Honestly, even though I can't stand Seraphina, I have to admit, someone like you landing her is quite a lucky break," Penelope said with a hint of disdain.

Penelope had always been accustomed to privilege and held everyone at a distance, never sparing anyone her contempt.

"I've drugged Seraphina," Penelope said bluntly.

Sebastian's gaze fixed on Seraphina, clearly shocked.

He whipped his head back to Penelope. "You did what?"

"I've drugged her. It's a strong dose. If you don't take her out within thirty minutes, she'll be live-streaming herself with any man here who'll fulfill her needs," Penelope said, her smile growing more sinister with each word.

"Penelope!" Sebastian's face turned pale, his voice thick with suppressed rage.

"Calm down. I'm not doing this out of spite. Since you're too timid to make the first move, I'm giving you a push. Once you've slept with Seraphina, I'll make sure it gets out. I don't believe Dashiell will stay with her once he sees the truth!"

"Are you out of your mind?"

"You should be thanking me! For someone like you, being with Seraphina is a huge leap up. I'm giving you the chance to make it happen, so you should be grateful. I've even got an excuse ready—if Seraphina questions it tomorrow, you can just say she was drugged and you had no choice but to sleep with her!"

"You're insane!" Sebastian growled, clearly unimpressed.

"Sebastian, what kind of man are you? If you were a real man, you'd go sleep with Seraphina. I guarantee you two will end up together. I've even calculated Seraphina's cycle—if you sleep with her during this period, she'll get pregnant. Once she's pregnant, she'll have no choice but to marry you!"

Sebastian's anger was palpable, his muscles tensed and veins bulging.

He struggled to control his rage and shot back at Penelope, "I'm not sleeping with Seraphina!"

"Why not?" Penelope couldn't understand.

She thought, 'I've thought of everything, but here is Sebastian, flatly refusing?'

"There's no'why.' I said I won't, and I won't," Sebastian replied coldly. "Penelope, next time, consult me before making such plans. I don't want us to end up with nothing accomplished and a mess on our hands!"

With that, Sebastian turned on his heel and stormed off.

"Sebastian, you've been drugged too!" Penelope's sinister laugh echoed behind him.
