Chapter 745 Seraphina Learns the Truth
After Sebastian spoke harshly, he looked up at Dashiell and said, "When did you find out about my identity? Did Atticus tell you today?"
At that moment, there was a feeling that Dashiell had known for a long time.
Dashiell always managed to surprise him.
Dashiell didn't answer.
To him, saying anything now was useless.
He was just observing, figuring out how to smoothly rescue Seraphina from Sebastian's grasp.
"He knew a long time ago," a female voice suddenly sounded from behind.
Everyone turned to look.
They saw Clio, who had been knocked out, waking up and walking onto the rooftop.
Sebastian's eyes narrowed.
He had a bad feeling.
Clio walked over and said, "I told him."
"Clio!" Sebastian's face changed instantly.
"Yes, I'm selfish. I don't want you to have any ties with Seraphina. I don't want you to seek revenge anymore. I just want to be with you. But you were always drawn to Seraphina, so I found Dashiell. I knew Dashiell liked Seraphina a lot, so I wanted to use him to stop you from being with Seraphina. I hoped you could give up your hatred and come back to me, just like when we were in the orphanage, relying on each other!" Clio said, tears streaming down her face.
Sebastian's face turned extremely grim at that moment.
He finally understood why Dashiell's attitude had suddenly changed and why he had been targeting him.
Dashiell used to avoid him, but ever since Dashiell schemed to marry Seraphina, he had clearly changed.
Sebastian said harshly, "When did you tell him?"
"Before you and Seraphina were about to get married," Clio answered.
So, the reason Dashiell came to ruin his marriage with Seraphina was because he knew about his ambitions.
However, Dashiell didn't expose him.
For so long, Dashiell hadn't exposed him.
And he had been like a clown, ugly and pathetic in front of Dashiell.
"Why did you know all along and not tell me?" The agitated person besides Sebastian was Seraphina.
Seraphina was questioning Dashiell.
Why did Dashiell know so early that Sebastian had ill intentions and not say anything?
Dashiell just watched her make so many foolish decisions.
Dashiell looked at Seraphina, her eyes red and emotions high.
He said, "If I had told you earlier, what do you think you would have done?"
Seraphina was stunned by Dashiell's sudden words.
If he had told her earlier.
What would she have done?
When she truly loved Sebastian, would she have cut off all ties with him, or would she have fought against Atticus for Sebastian?
With her personality, she would have definitely sided with Sebastian against Atticus.
She would have done many extreme things for Sebastian.
If Sebastian hadn't hurt her so deeply now, she wouldn't have been able to bring herself to harm him.
Seraphina bit her lip until it lost its color.
Dashiell said, "I originally thought I could try to make you like me, then drive Sebastian away and resolve the old grudges between Atticus and Sebastian. But my abilities were limited. Between Sebastian and me, you always chose Sebastian."
"But now..." Seraphina wanted to speak, agitated.
Sebastian interrupted her directly, "So you planned to let me and Seraphina be together? Using your way to make it happen?"
"Yes," Dashiell didn't hide it, also stalling for time, "As long as I ensured Everhart Bank didn't fall into your hands, you wouldn't harm Atticus or Seraphina. But I didn't expect you to become so extreme."
"You didn't expect Seraphina to end up liking you," Sebastian mocked.
Seraphina bit her lip.
At that moment, Dashiell also lightly pressed his lips together.
"You thought Seraphina would always like me, and I thought so too. But she shifted her affections and stopped loving me. If I had known she would end up loving you, I would have killed you long ago, Dashiell."
"I wouldn't do anything against the law."
"Are you reminding me that I'm breaking the law now?" Sebastian sneered, "But Dashiell, I really admire you. You like Seraphina so much, how could you give her up? How did you manage to let me and Seraphina be together?"
"Forcing against Seraphina's will only brings pain and resentment. I tried, so I gave up," Dashiell said indifferently.
"If you gave up, why are you still meddling in Seraphina's affairs? You should just watch Everhart Bank fall into my hands and laugh at Seraphina's foolishness."
"I'm not as dark as you. Since I know your malicious intent, I won't let you succeed," Dashiell said straightforwardly, "I did my best to let you live a good life, but you didn't accept it."
"Dashiell, you really love Seraphina. To make her happy, you can endure her misunderstandings and do so many things for her silently!" Sebastian mocked, "I now think Seraphina is somewhat ungrateful in how she treats you."
"I said, I'm just doing what I think I should do. Atticus was once my stepfather. It's only natural to protect his assets. I'm not as noble as you think."
"Are you still considering Seraphina now? Are you afraid she'll die?"
"Believe what you want," Dashiell didn't explain further.
"Yes, after all, those were things of the past. Now, at this point, the past doesn't matter. What matters is, I'm taking you all down with me!" Sebastian's eyes narrowed.
Dashiell's face darkened slightly.
"Call Atticus," Sebastian suddenly ordered Dashiell.
Dashiell's eyes turned cold.
"I told you to call Atticus. I want to see if he's dead!" Sebastian said viciously.
Dashiell looked at Seraphina.
Seraphina, agitated, said, "Don't call! I don't want my dad to die with me!"
"I won't call," Dashiell said calmly and clearly, "There's no need to involve another life."
Seraphina looked at Dashiell.
It was clearly her request.
But now Dashiell's indifference made her feel a bit hurt.
It was as if Dashiell no longer cared about her life or death.
She was emotionally turbulent, trying hard to suppress her feelings.
"Not calling? I'll really push Seraphina down," Sebastian threatened.
"If I call, you'll still do it. Why should I grant your wish and sacrifice Atticus's life?"
"Dashiell, you really don't like Seraphina anymore," Sebastian said word by word, with an evil smile.
Seraphina listened to Sebastian's words.
Her heart ached a little.
