Chapter 361 Seraphina's Transformation

After Cecilia hung up, she dialed Dashiell.

"Cecilia," Dashiell answered, sounding as chill as ever.

No matter what went down, he always kept his cool.

"Seraphina just called. She and Sebastian are done for good," Cecilia said straight up.

Dashiell smirked a bit.

Cecilia had been working hard to set him up with Seraphina.

He chuckled, "I just eavesdropped on their convo."

Cecilia went on, "Well, as long as it ends well, that's what counts."

"Fingers crossed," Dashiell grinned.

"Just a heads-up, Sebastian knows Seraphina's pregnant. Watch your back."

Dashiell nodded. "I'll be extra careful."

"Congrats to you both," Cecilia laughed. "Didn't think you'd have a baby so soon."

Dashiell's usually stoic face lit up at the mention of the baby.

"Me neither," he admitted.

"Take good care of Seraphina," she urged.

"Will do," Dashiell agreed.

"Got a meeting now, talk later," Cecilia said before hanging up.

After the call, Dashiell glanced at the bedroom.

He'd instinctively left the room earlier.

He'd been dodging the drama between Seraphina and Sebastian.

But now, he felt it was time to step up.

Cecilia was right.

He needed to be more proactive.

He wheeled himself towards the bedroom.

Seraphina was at the head of the bed, gaming.

She was losing it. "Can you guys back me up? I'm getting ganked non-stop!" she yelled.

A teammate's voice came through the phone, "Have you seen your score? 0-8, who'd wanna support you?"

"I told you I can carry, just support me!" Seraphina snapped.

"No way. Following you is a death wish," her teammate shot back.

"Ugh, this is hopeless. Let's just give up!" another voice chimed in.

"No surrender!" Seraphina screamed, fuming.

Just then, she felt her phone being snatched away.

"Dashiell!" Seraphina glared at him, about to blow up.

Couldn't he see she was already pissed at the game?

And now he was making it worse!

But then she saw Dashiell take her phone and start playing.

He also muted the game chat.

"What the hell are you doing?" Seraphina fumed, glaring at Dashiell.

Dashiell ignored her, just asked, "Who's ganking you?"

"What does it matter to you? Do you even know how to play? Give it back!" Seraphina was livid.

"The enemy jungler?" Dashiell's fingers flew across the screen.

"Give it back to me!"

A voice came from the phone, "Whoa, starting a comeback? Just luck, right?"

It was a teammate's snarky comment.

Dashiell didn't reply.

He was laser-focused on the game.

Seraphina frowned and leaned over to watch Dashiell's moves.

Watching his almost magical gameplay, she saw him rack up kills even with low resources.

In a few rounds, Dashiell had taken down the enemy jungler multiple times, frustrating the opponent.

"Your support isn't sticking with you?" Dashiell asked.

Seraphina, stunned by his skills, took a moment to respond, "Yeah."

"Alright," Dashiell replied.

He headed over to the support, making sure the enemy saw him.

When the enemy closed in, Dashiell bailed, leaving the support to get wrecked in seconds.

"Seriously? Why'd you bail?" the support raged.

Dashiell ignored it and went to the enemy jungle to farm gold.

In no time, Dashiell's economy shot up, quickly surpassing everyone else and becoming the highest in the game.

The enemy jungler didn't dare to challenge Dashiell one-on-one anymore.

At one point, Dashiell even tower-dived and took out the enemy.

"Did you take some magic pill?" the enemy typed, probably questioning their life choices after getting owned so many times.

Dashiell shot back, "Don't mess with my girl."

Seraphina pursed her lips.

Who was his girl?

But she had to admit, Dashiell's gameplay was insanely satisfying.

In the end, he single-handedly carried the game to victory.

Dashiell handed the phone back to Seraphina.

She glanced at Dashiell, then at the "Victory" on the screen.

She sneaked a look at the stats; 50% of the damage output. If she hadn't seen Dashiell's gameplay herself, she would've thought he was hacking!

"I didn't know you can play games." Seraphina was clearly shocked.

"Sometimes I play with others," Dashiell said coolly.

"Who?" Seraphina couldn't help but ask.

"Someone you don't know," Dashiell dodged.

"A girl, right? I don't mind," Seraphina said, trying to sound casual.

Dashiell clarified, "No, it's a guy."

Seraphina looked up at Dashiell.

"If you like playing games, I can play with you," Dashiell offered.

"No need, my skills aren't on your level."

"It's fine, his level isn't that great either," Dashiell said, clearly amused.

Somehow, Dashiell's demeanor felt endearingly indulgent.

Damn it.

Seraphina was certain it must be a girl.

She put down her phone and lay back in bed, "I'm tired."

"Okay," Dashiell responded.

Just when Seraphina thought Dashiell was going to leave the room, she felt him get into bed.

Seraphina was startled.

She wanted to resist but inexplicably gave in.

Why did she feel so conflicted about Dashiell?

The room was super quiet.

Dashiell was actually very well-behaved.

Even though they were lying in the same bed, he never crossed the line.

Seraphina thought about how she had snuggled up to Dashiell this morning; it was probably her who initiated it.

She knew she was restless when she slept.

Seraphina thought about these things, trying to fall asleep with her eyes closed.

During her pregnancy, she had been eating and sleeping, occasionally playing games to pass the time!

She wondered how much longer this would last.

Seraphina felt a bit melancholic.

Maybe because Dashiell was beside her, she couldn't fall asleep for a long time, just lying there with her eyes closed.

Until, after an indeterminable period, Dashiell behind her moved closer.

Suddenly, he wrapped his arms around her.

She felt a large hand cover her belly.

Seraphina's body tensed, but she didn't push him away.

She just let Dashiell hold her, wrapping her in his embrace as they slept.

She didn't know why.

How had she and Dashiell ended up like this?

They had evolved into such an intimate relationship.

And she had clearly accepted it!
