Chapter 204 The Plan
The Lockhart Group building.
Cecilia walked into the office.
Rose followed, "Mrs. Whitaker, Lily's waiting in the conference room. Do you want to see her now or after your work?"
"Have her come to my office now."
"Yes, ma'am," Rose replied.
A bit later, Lily walked in, looking a bit cautious.
"Mrs. Whitaker," Lily greeted.
"Sit down," Cecilia said casually.
Lily sat on the couch, still a bit stiff.
Cecilia, working on her computer, said, "Give me ten minutes."
"No problem, I’ve got time," Lily quickly replied.
Cecilia chuckled. Hard to believe Lily, who'd be swamped with work soon, was so free now.
Cecilia focused on her work, trying to be efficient.
Rose brought two cups of coffee, placing them in front of Cecilia and Lily.
Ten minutes later, Cecilia closed her laptop.
Lily was impressed by Cecilia's time management. She had expected to wait much longer.
Cecilia sat across from Lily and handed her a document. "Check this out. It's for our live-streaming sales event the day after tomorrow."
"Live-streaming sales?" Lily was surprised.
"Yeah, we're launching an online trading platform. Tomorrow, you'll introduce various stores on the platform. Consumers can buy products online," Cecilia explained.
Lily was silent.
Cecilia understood, "Don't worry, it's not like TV shopping. Celebrity sales will be a trend."
Lily still had doubts. Celebrities were seen as high-status figures, and selling products felt beneath them.
"Lily, you need exposure," Cecilia advised. "I guarantee this will get you a lot of attention. Celebrities need that. Talent alone isn't enough."
"Okay," Lily agreed, not because of the benefits, but because Cecilia had given her the first endorsement of her career. She couldn't refuse her.
Cecilia smiled, "Trust me, your future is bright."
"I'll take that as a good sign," Lily smiled.
Lily never imagined she'd become an overnight sensation.
"Look over the content," Cecilia said. "Ask if you have questions."
"Okay," Lily said, reading carefully.
She had many questions and asked Cecilia for guidance.
They discussed all morning.
Lily said, "I'll memorize the lines when I get back."
"Live-streaming is different from recording a show or acting. Be genuine. The lines are just a guide; interact naturally with consumers."
"Got it," Lily replied.
"We'll do a quick rehearsal tomorrow morning," Cecilia said.
"Sure," Lily agreed, ready to follow all of Cecilia's plans.
"Meet at the Tower of Light at 10 AM. Dress nicely."
"Okay."
Cecilia gave a few more instructions, and then Lily left the office.
After that, Cecilia called Rose and Randy in to review the live-streaming arrangements for the opening day, making sure everything was perfect.
The morning flew by.
After 3 PM, Cecilia asked Rose to call Juliana to her office.
Juliana walked in nervously and sat across from Cecilia.
"Tell me about your latest plan," Cecilia said.
Juliana looked embarrassed. She hadn't come up with anything.
She muttered, "I just joined the company and I'm not familiar with many things. I don't know much about mall marketing, so..."
"Check out this discount plan. Is it okay?" Cecilia handed Juliana a draft plan.
Cecilia knew Juliana wouldn't have anything, so she had already prepared a plan and spent the afternoon perfecting it.
Juliana was stunned but took the plan and read it seriously. The more she read, the more jealous she became. It was a mature and well-thought-out promotion plan.
Juliana suppressed her feelings and said, "It's really more thorough than what I could come up with. I'll definitely learn more from you."
"No need to learn," Cecilia said bluntly. "If you think it's good, just implement it."
"Leave it to me?" Juliana was surprised. 'Isn't this giving me credit for nothing?' The old Cecilia would never be so kind.
"We're on the same team. If not you, then who?" Cecilia said frankly.
Juliana hesitated.
"If you don't want to do it, forget it," Cecilia said.
"No," Juliana quickly replied. "I was just thinking about how I can do it as well as you."
Juliana was good at flattering people, no matter who they were.
"Just be attentive," Cecilia said, pretending not to notice Juliana's emotions.
Juliana quickly agreed and left Cecilia's office.
Rose, standing nearby, was puzzled. She couldn't tell if Cecilia was trying to help Juliana or set her up.
"First pull her in, then take her down," Cecilia said, guessing Rose's thoughts.
Rose was startled. Did Cecilia have some special ability to read minds? Should she be more careful about her thoughts, especially when she was dissatisfied with Cecilia?
Rose held back and asked, "Why pull her in first? With Juliana's current skills, she's not qualified to be a supervisor. If she doesn't perform, she can't stay in the position forever, and that will lead to gossip. Once she's not recognized, the higher-ups won't let it slide!"
"I'm not just dealing with Juliana," Cecilia said.
Rose was stunned. So Cecilia had a bigger plan.
She really admired Cecilia. It seemed like every step Cecilia took was meticulously planned. How could so many people have underestimated her before?
