Chapter 705 Chaotic Situation (10) Cecilia's Whereabouts

Cecilia never dreamed that she would end up here.

Francis probably didn't expect that she would be sent to him either.

Yesterday afternoon, after Gideon left, she returned to her room, thinking she would just wait there for the final outcome. However, in the afternoon, she was suddenly taken away. Cecilia even wondered if Gideon had changed his mind and decided to kill her. Little did she know that, after several twists and turns, she ended up on Francis's private island.

The island was already filled with Gideon's subordinates.

Indeed.

Now the island belonged to Gideon, but when the contract was signed, Gideon had promised Francis a three-month grace period. After all, Francis still had many belongings here, and he needed time to find another place to live. No one expected Gideon to move in early.

When Cecilia and Francis met, they were both very shocked. Of course, they couldn't show any signs of it. The only thing they knew was that they were both under Gideon's control.

Cecilia had only one thought at that moment.

Francis must not be implicated in this matter.

She knew very well how important Francis was to the Royal Family of Whitaker, but how could she get the message out?

Given the current situation and the tight security on the island, it seemed that not even a fly could get out.

Francis deliberately threw a tantrum in the villa, cursing Gideon's shamelessness.

He vented, but nothing changed.

Until the early hours of the next day.

At the moment when everyone was quietly asleep, an unusual noise came from the villa.

Cecilia and Francis quickly came out of their rooms and saw Gideon appear.

Cecilia was actually very nervous when she saw Gideon.

She knew that Alaric had already taken action today. She had also thought that Gideon might die in this matter, and if he really died, she would die too. She didn't know whether she was waiting for Gideon to come back alive or not come back at all. Anyway, seeing Gideon at that moment, she had an indescribable feeling.

Gideon's face didn't look good, and he even seemed a bit weak.

He was helped onto the sofa in the hall, leaning against it, panting, and his condition didn't look very optimistic.

Cecilia and Francis exchanged a glance, and then they both approached Gideon.

"What do you mean by this?" Before Cecilia could speak, Francis voiced his dissatisfaction.

Gideon frowned. His physical condition made him seem unwilling to speak, but he forced himself to sit up and face Cecilia and Francis.

At that moment, Gideon's gaze was fixed on Cecilia.

He had never respected Francis.

He said, "At least I'm alive."

As he spoke, he gave a cruel smile.

Cecilia forced a smile, "Should I congratulate you?"

"Congratulate yourself too," Gideon said weakly, but Cecilia felt that Gideon wouldn't collapse.

"So Alaric didn't lie to you?" Cecilia asked.

Otherwise, Gideon should be dead.

Gideon sneered.

From his smile, it was hard to tell Gideon's emotions.

In fact, Gideon had indeed begun to trust Alaric.

If Alaric wanted to kill him, he had many opportunities to do so during the night's fight. Gideon knew very well that he was no match for Alaric. Alaric seemed to give him fatal blows, but always left him a way out.

In the end, he jumped off the cliff, which was actually a cover for his escape.

Because he had prepared in advance, when he was chased to a dead end, it was his pre-arranged escape route. But to make it convincing, he and Alaric put on a big show. When he finally jumped off the cliff, he had already arranged for someone to catch him below. As soon as he jumped, people lurking in the water would immediately give him an oxygen mask and take him away, then board a speedboat anchored in the distance and head straight to this island.

Of course, he had sealed off the island half a day in advance.

The reason he had Cecilia help him acquire this island was to find a hiding place for himself.

He had thoroughly investigated the island. Its unique geographical location made it difficult to attack even if discovered. In other words, even if the Monroe family found out, it wouldn't be easy for them to get on the island and kill him.

After making all the preparations, Gideon went to the banquet hall.

Sure enough.

Everything happened as he and Alaric had predicted.

The Monroe family thought he was dead. The turbulent waters below the cliff made survival impossible, especially since he had been shot.

This was all thanks to Alaric.

Alaric had advised him not to wear a bulletproof vest when entering the banquet hall to avoid suspicion from the Monroe family, but to put it on immediately after leaving the hall.

Of course, he had thought of this himself, but Alaric's suggestion made him trust Alaric a bit more.

Even with the bulletproof vest, the bullet hitting his back caused some rib damage. Coupled with the prolonged time in the water and the exhausting journey, his body was indeed at its limit.

He said, "I need to rest. Don't disturb me."

Gideon issued the order.

Francis was naturally unhappy.

Why should Gideon come here before he left?

He was about to argue.

Cecilia stopped him, "Let him rest. Let's go back to our rooms."

Francis looked at Cecilia.

Cecilia said, "We can talk after he has rested."

Francis held back.

He angrily stormed back to his room.

Cecilia followed in his footsteps.

Gideon suddenly smiled.

Was Cecilia stopping Francis out of concern for him?

He forced himself not to overthink it.

Cecilia wouldn't be so kind.

She just thought that in Gideon's current state, he wouldn't waste time on them. For someone like Gideon, life was very important, and they would prioritize their health first.

Cecilia and Francis walked towards the stairs together.

Cecilia whispered, "Francis, protect yourself and don't expose yourself."

Francis looked at Cecilia.

Cecilia said bluntly, "Gideon doesn't know your identity. He won't harm you for now. If you have any chance to escape, take it. Don't worry about me."

Francis's throat moved slightly.

"You can't get hurt," Cecilia said firmly.

"What about you?" Francis asked Cecilia.

If she could live, she would.

If not, her life wasn't as important as Francis's.

She said, "Anyway, you focus on protecting yourself. I know how to take care of myself."

"How will you take care of yourself?" Francis asked angrily.
