Chapter 93 Vomiting on the Spot

Seraphina's eyes nearly popped out of her head.

She had just seen Penelope hugging a man, his head lowered and mostly obscured by Penelope. In the dim light, she couldn't see clearly. At this moment, the man suddenly raised his head, and to her surprise, she saw Dashiell.

Then Dashiell seemed to see her too.

Their eyes met.

Seraphina turned and walked away with her phone, muttering, "Damn, they saw me." She clearly felt a bit like she was fleeing in embarrassment.

"Are you upset that they're together?" Cecilia couldn't help but tease.

"Are you kidding? Upset?!" Seraphina scoffed, "I just think that no matter how bad Dashiell is, he wouldn't go for someone as arrogant as Penelope. Penelope always thinks everyone should cater to her. If Dashiell marries her, he'll be in big trouble."

"Maybe Penelope will change for Dashiell. Have you ever seen Penelope chase anyone so publicly? Didn't you see how she acts like a gentle kitten in front of Dashiell? It's called 'every pot has its lid.'" Cecilia said deliberately.

"Fine, I'll mind my own business." Seraphina didn't want to talk about it anymore.

Who Dashiell wants to be with was none of her business!

"By the way, did you go to the club again?" Cecilia changed the subject, clearly a bit unhappy.

Seraphina replied, "I just played around and went back. You go be lovey-dovey with your Alaric, I'm hanging up."

"Hey..."

Seraphina had already hung up. She couldn't handle Cecilia's lectures.

Seraphina took a deep breath and sneaked a glance at the corner. Seeing that the two had left, she went back to her private room and started hanging out with her friends.

At the entrance of The Astralium Empire club.

Dashiell helped Penelope into a car to take her home.

Penelope clung to him, and even though Dashiell pushed her away twice, she didn't budge.

So, he let her be.

Penelope smiled triumphantly. She knew that the only way to deal with a man like Dashiell was to be persistent.

The car arrived at the Kingsley family estate.

Dashiell helped Penelope out of the car.

As they reached the door, Penelope suddenly turned, wrapped her arms around his neck, and stood on tiptoe to kiss him.

Dashiell pushed her away immediately.

As he pushed her, Penelope's lips accidentally brushed against his shoulder, leaving a red lipstick mark on his white shirt collar.

Dashiell didn't notice. He just pushed Penelope away a bit more and took a step back.

He said, "You're home."

He clearly kept his distance from Penelope.

"Dashiell, can't you see that I like you?" Penelope's eyes were red. She was tired of being pushed away by Dashiell every time.

"I don't like you," Dashiell said bluntly.

Just like many years ago, when she confessed to him, his response was the same—straightforward and cold.

Penelope's tears welled up. She asked him bitterly, "Then who do you like? Seraphina?"

Dashiell didn't answer.

"She's been with Sebastian for years, and you still like her? Are you a masochist?" Penelope's anger was no longer concealed.

"That's my business." Dashiell was clearly indifferent.

After saying that, he turned and walked away.

"Dashiell!" Penelope called out to him angrily.

Dashiell ignored her.

He got back into the car and told the driver to leave.

He didn't want to give Penelope any hope, just like Seraphina never gave him any hope, leaving him with no expectations.

The car returned to The Astralium Empire club.

Dashiell had a social engagement tonight, which was interrupted when Penelope arrived and, without asking, helped him drink with the guests, getting herself drunk in the process. Dashiell had Cassius cover for him while he took Penelope home.

Not dating Penelope was one thing, but basic gentlemanly manners were another. Besides, if something happened to Penelope because she was drunk, he would feel responsible.

Dashiell walked down the club's hallway, turning a corner.

"Ugh!"

"Ah!"

With a grunt from Dashiell and a woman's scream, they collided.

The woman was clearly in a hurry, and the impact was strong.

The collision was so strong that the woman was knocked back several steps, almost falling.

Dashiell quickly reached out and caught her.

Seraphina felt a moment of darkness before her eyes.

Who was this guy? His chest was as hard as iron.

She looked up angrily, only to see Dashiell.

Dashiell saw her too, and they stood there awkwardly, still holding each other.

Seraphina quickly moved away.

Once Dashiell was sure she was steady, he let go of her.

"Weren't you leaving?" Seraphina adjusted her clothes, not wanting to have bumped into Dashiell.

Dashiell replied, "I just took Penelope home. I still have some things to do..."

"You really are a perfect boyfriend, always making sure your girlfriend is settled first." Seraphina's word carried a hint of sarcasm.

Dashiell explained, "Penelope and I are not a couple."

"Really?" Seraphina sneered, "So the lipstick on your collar is from another woman?"

Dashiell was taken aback. He quickly looked down and saw the lipstick mark on his shirt.

"I really hate your hypocrisy," Seraphina said sarcastically, "Just like your mom, two-faced."

With that, she didn't wait for Dashiell to explain and walked away.

She was in a hurry to see the show in the main hall and didn't want to waste time on Dashiell.

Dashiell watched Seraphina leave and then walked away himself.

They went their separate ways.

At midnight.

Dashiell finished his social engagement and said goodbye to Cassius.

As he reached the entrance, he saw Sebastian picking up Seraphina. The two got into Sebastian's car together.

Dashiell showed no emotion, calmly getting into his own car to go home.

He leaned back in the seat, holding his forehead. He had drunk too much.

His alcohol tolerance was never great, and he would get drunk easily.

He returned to the Everhart family villa, barely managing to get out of the car and walk to the door.

After a few steps, he saw a couple passionately kissing in a dimly lit area.

He really didn't want to disturb them. He always understood lovers' intimate moments.

However, he was so drunk that he couldn't hold it in, vomiting on the spot.
