Chapter 432 Cassius's Great Frustration

Cecilia and Alaric rolled back to the Whitaker Mansion that same night.

The second they stepped into the hall, Alaric was all over her.

It was middle of the night, and Alaric still had energy?

Cecilia was beat.

She nudged him, whispering, "What if George is still around?"

Alaric shrugged, "Don't sweat it, he'll steer clear."

Cecilia still looked worried. "But what if he sees us..."

Alaric cut her off, "He already caught us last night."

Cecilia went quiet, feeling totally defeated.

Alaric was shameless, no doubt.

Seeing her overwhelmed face, Alaric paused his wild affection, scooped her up, and practically sprinted to their room.

Once inside, he laid her on the bed and leaned in for a kiss.

Cecilia covered her mouth.

Alaric looked puzzled.

"Catch your breath first, I don't want you passing out," she said, clearly exhausted.

Couldn't Alaric chill for a sec?

"If I don't kiss you, I might just pass out," Alaric said, moving her hand away. "Besides, carrying you didn't even make me winded."

With that, he kissed her passionately.

Any words she had turned into muffled sounds.

She wondered, was Alaric just using the baby excuse to go overboard?

Meanwhile, Cassius was dumped back at the Blackburn Mansion, totally wasted.

When the driver tried to haul him out, Cassius suddenly sat up in the back seat, scaring the driver.

"Where am I?" Cassius slurred.

"Mr. Blackburn, we're at your place. I'm taking you home," the driver said, trying to stay polite.

"I'm not going home. Just drive, keep driving," Cassius snapped, getting all agitated.

The driver was spooked again.

If he didn't wanna go home, what was he planning?

"Hurry up!" Cassius yelled, furious.

The driver jumped back into the seat and took off.

They drove for ages, with no clue where to go.

The driver, shaking, asked, "Mr. Blackburn, where to now?"

"Just keep driving. Why the rush?" Cassius grumbled.

Did they need a destination right now?

The driver didn't dare ask more, scared of getting chewed out again.

Cassius scrolled through his contacts.

So many names, he barely remembered half of them.

Then he spotted a familiar one and quickly dialed, "Linda."

"Mr. Blackburn, you finally called! I've been waiting for months," a sweet voice answered.

Cassius felt his body relax.

"Where are you now? I'll come over," he said.

"Now?" she sounded surprised.

"Yeah, unless you're busy?" Cassius asked.

"No, just can't believe it. It's so late, and you're still coming. If you're messing with me, I'll be mad," she teased.

Cassius felt even more tempted. "Send me your location, I'll be there."

"I'll get ready and wait," Linda replied quickly.

"Cool," Cassius said, hanging up.

Tonight, no matter what, he had to get one more round in.

He was getting hitched tomorrow, and who knew how closely Hugo would watch him after that. Tonight was his last shot.

Hugo had given him the green light to party on his last night as a free man.

Cassius had braced himself for a lecture, but Hugo had just nodded and said, "Go for it."

Left him kinda stunned.

For once, Hugo seemed chill.

If Hugo was cool with him cutting loose for a night, why shouldn't he go all out?

With that thought, Cassius felt even more justified.

He glanced at the location, told the driver the address, and added, "Floor it!"

Cassius didn't want to waste a second.

The car picked up speed.

The driver couldn't wrap his head around how Cassius had suddenly sobered up.

Just a minute ago, he was slumped in the back seat, barely breathing, and now he was all fired up, hunting for a hookup.

The driver could only think, 'Impressive.'

They reached the spot in no time.

Cassius hopped out, practically sprinted into the complex, and hit the elevator button.

When the elevator doors opened, Cassius stepped out, only to freeze.

Two guys in black suits were standing at the door, staring him down.

Cassius had a bad feeling but tried to play it cool as he walked past them.

"Mr. Cassius Blackburn," one of the suits said respectfully. "Mr. Hugo Blackburn sent us to bring you back."

"Damn it!" Cassius cursed. "How'd you know I was here?"

The suits stayed silent.

"Answer me!" Cassius barked.

They just bowed their heads, still respectful. "We got a notification from Mr. Hugo Blackburn. We don't know how he knew."

Cassius was fuming.

He'd been so careful to dodge any spies, how did he get busted again, and before he even got there?

Was Hugo really that psychic?

"Mr. Cassius Blackburn, please come back with us," the suits repeated.

"What if I say no?" Cassius challenged, seething.

"Mr. Hugo Blackburn said he'd come personally," one of the suits replied.

Cassius was boiling with rage.

Was his plan totally shot?

He was pissed to the core.

But in the end, he followed the suits and left.

Sitting in the car, he looked utterly defeated.

His phone rang, and it was Linda.

He answered, sounding drained.

"Mr. Blackburn, why aren't you here yet? I'm so lonely waiting in bed," Linda said.

"I'm not coming," Cassius snapped.

The more she tried to seduce him, the angrier he got.

"Mr. Blackburn, how can you do this? You said you'd be here soon, and now you're not coming. I..." she started crying, sounding super upset.

Cassius couldn't take it, saying, "Stop crying, I'll wire you a million bucks tomorrow."

"But I really miss you..." Linda whined.

"Eight hundred grand," Cassius countered.

"Mr. Blackburn..." Linda kept complaining.

"Six hundred grand," Cassius said coldly.

"Thank you, Mr. Blackburn, good night," Linda said quickly, clearly scared he'd cut more.

Cassius hung up and looked up at the gate of the Blackburn Mansion.

After all that, he was back.

He walked into the courtyard and headed straight to his room.

Inside, a dim light was on.

There was clearly a woman lying on his bed.

Damn!

He was in the worst mood ever!
