Chapter 136 Cecilia, I'm Not Easy to Take Advantage of

"Rose just mentioned that the construction project is expected to bring in $2.6 billion in five years. I crunched some numbers based on rent and store count. We can hit $4 billion in five years and turn a profit in two," Cecilia concluded.

The room buzzed with disbelief.

Everyone thought it was just a pipe dream.

Cecilia stayed calm. "Hold on, folks. We won't know until we try. Let me be clear: I made an even bolder promise to senior management. Making this project profitable is just one part of my plan. I don't want it dismissed before we even start! Trust me, and we can make it happen!"

Her words left everyone stunned. Her determination made them believe.

Without wasting time, Cecilia started assigning tasks. "Since we're just starting, I'll assign tasks my way for now. If something doesn't work, let me know, and I'll adjust. Everyone here is someone I trust. If you can't handle your tasks, speak up now, and I won't hold it against you. But if you opt-out, there's no place for you in the sales department. Stick with me, and I won't let you down."

She didn't dwell on their reactions and got straight to assigning tasks.

The whole process was quick and efficient.

Usually, these meetings dragged on for at least three hours. This one wrapped up in just an hour.

Cecilia stood up and left the room.

Others followed, grumbling about the workload and praising Cecilia's skills.

They felt she was different from other leaders.

She always had a clear plan before meetings, unlike some who wasted time figuring things out.

As a result, Cecilia's efficiency was through the roof.

Juliana was among the crowd.

Every time she heard praise for Cecilia, it felt like a thorn in her side.

She went back to her office and called Vincent. "Dad, Cecilia just had a meeting. She's starting the marketing for the Tower of Light and claimed she could hit $4 billion in revenue in five years and break even in two!"

"Does she think she's a god?" Vincent sneered.

Juliana said, "But I heard her plan, and she might actually pull it off."

Vincent still wasn't convinced. "Don't be intimidated by her talk."

"Dad," Juliana insisted, "haven't we underestimated her? Think about how many times we've lost to her. It's not that we can't beat her; we've just underestimated her."

Vincent, reminded by Juliana, couldn't help but feel wary of Cecilia.

At first, Vincent thought Juliana's revenue numbers were just exaggerated slogans, impossible to achieve. But then he reconsidered. Juliana was right. Every time they thought something was impossible, Cecilia made it happen.

"Alright, I won't let Cecilia succeed," Vincent decided. "Keep a close eye on her for me. Inform me of any developments."

"Got it." Juliana hung up, her face turning cold.

She couldn't let Cecilia continue to be so arrogant. She had already dealt with Isadora. Next up was Cecilia.

At 3 PM, Cecilia headed to the Tower of Light.

The building's issues were basically the three that Michael mentioned. Solving these problems was key to turning the Tower of Light around.

Of course, Cecilia wasn't a genius who could come up with a solution immediately. She was recalling what had happened to the Tower of Light ten years ago. Was there any successful mall she could learn from during those years?

After leaving the Tower of Light, Cecilia didn't return to the company. House of Everhart Bank was hosting a business banquet tonight, and she had to attend.

She called Theodore while heading to the largest international mall in Serenovia City. This mall was also part of the Lockhart Group, but because it was quite old and located in the city center, its marketing strategies couldn't be fully replicated.

Thinking about these things, she walked into the largest luxury dress section in Serenovia City. As soon as she walked in, she saw Alaric.

He seemed to be picking out a suit for tonight. Naturally, Cassius was with him. Next to Cassius were Jasper and Rebecca. They all seemed to be picking out outfits.

At that moment, Cecilia even wanted to turn around and leave. Serenovia City was indeed small.

"What a coincidence," Cassius was the first to speak.

Cecilia really didn't want it to be such a coincidence. She maintained her manners and asked, "Are you all picking out outfits for tonight's business banquet?"

"Yes. But didn't you know Alaric would be attending? Aren't you two a couple?" Rebecca suddenly interjected.

Cecilia glanced at Alaric. At that moment, Alaric seemed to be staring at her. Since she appeared, his gaze had been fixed on her. She didn't even have a chance to escape.

She said, "Between a married couple, what's more important is romance and surprises. Right, Alaric?"

Saying this, she naturally walked over to Alaric, affectionately holding his arm, looking very sweet.

Rebecca's face immediately changed. She snapped at the staff, "Haven't you prepared my dress yet?"

"It's ready, Ms. Adams. This way, please," the staff quickly responded respectfully.

Rebecca left in a huff. Cecilia smiled smugly. Even though her marriage to Alaric was fake, she wouldn't tolerate any grievances.

Seeing Rebecca leave in a fit of anger, she naturally let go of Alaric's arm. As she let go, her hand was suddenly gripped tightly by a pair of large hands.

Cecilia was startled and turned to look at Alaric. She heard Alaric say, "Cecilia, I'm not that easy to take advantage of!"

Cecilia really wanted to curse. Although she did it to anger Rebecca, it was obvious to everyone that Rebecca liked Alaric. Since Rebecca was Jasper's girlfriend, wasn't she actually saving Alaric a lot of trouble by doing this? Shouldn't he be grateful instead of threatening her?
