Chapter 751 Cecilia is Grounded
Magnolia finally made a call to Cecilia.
At this moment, she could understand Seraphina's sadness, but she had her principles and couldn't comfort her.
She would hold a grudge for a lifetime for what Seraphina did to Dashiell.
So she would rather have Cecilia accompany Seraphina than comfort her herself.
The call connected.
Cecilia sounded very polite, "Aunt Magnolia."
Magnolia was genuinely satisfied with Cecilia.
Compared to Seraphina, Cecilia was simply much better.
Magnolia was actually a meticulous person. She was aware of many rumors about Alaric recently, and she also knew a lot of inside information that she couldn't reveal at the moment. She understood Cecilia's pain.
"Aunt Magnolia, why did you call me?" Cecilia asked.
Magnolia glanced at Seraphina, who was still crying uncontrollably beside her, and said, "Atticus is in critical condition. Seraphina is in a lot of pain right now. Can you come and see her?"
Cecilia's heart skipped a beat.
She was startled to hear that Atticus was in critical condition.
"Okay, which hospital?"
"The metropolitan hospital."
"I'll be right there."
"Don't rush, take care of the baby," Magnolia reminded.
"Got it."
Cecilia hung up the phone, her steps noticeably hurried.
"Mrs. Whitaker," George saw Cecilia's expression and quickly approached her, "What's wrong? Did something big happen?"
"Seraphina is in trouble. I need to go to the hospital."
"But..." George hesitated.
Cecilia didn't have the mind to guess what George meant.
She just wanted to get to Seraphina as soon as possible.
She knew Seraphina's personality too well. If something really happened to Atticus, Seraphina wouldn't be able to handle it alone.
The more she thought about it, the faster Cecilia's steps became.
Just as she reached the door.
The bodyguard at the door stepped in front of her, blocking her way.
Cecilia's eyes narrowed.
The bodyguard respectfully said, "Mrs. Whitaker, Mr. Whitaker said you can't leave the villa for now."
Cecilia's face darkened.
She roughly understood what George had been hesitant to say earlier.
So without Alaric's permission, she couldn't leave.
She knew these people listened to Alaric, and talking to them more would be a waste of breath.
She directly called Alaric.
However, the call still didn't go through.
Cecilia pressed her lips together.
To be honest, she always thought Alaric's phone would be on 24/7.
She always thought that as long as she needed him, she could find him.
Forgot it.
Cecilia called Cassius, but the call didn't go through either.
So what were Alaric and Cassius doing?
She didn't have time to think about it. She turned to the bodyguard at the door, "I have something very important. I must go out."
"Sorry, Mrs. Whitaker, without Mr. Whitaker's permission, we can't do that."
Cecilia's face clearly showed her frustration.
George was also beside Cecilia at this moment, "Mrs. Whitaker, why don't you go back and sit down, and wait for Mr. Whitaker to call back?"
The implication was that without Alaric's permission, she wouldn't be able to leave today.
What if she insisted on going out?
Cecilia directly tried to push the bodyguard.
The bodyguard didn't dare to fight back, but standing there, he was immovable.
George was also frightened by Cecilia's behavior and quickly said, "Mrs. Whitaker, calm down. You're still pregnant. Mr. Whitaker might be busy with something and not answer the phone. Once he sees your call, he will definitely call you back immediately."
"I need to leave now!" Cecilia said firmly, word by word.
"Mrs. Whitaker, calm down."
"George, I'll say it again, I need to leave now!"
"Mr. Whitaker's orders, none of us can defy..." George was very troubled.
"Move!" Cecilia shouted at the bodyguard.
The bodyguard remained respectful but didn't move an inch.
Cecilia held back her emotions.
"Is it true that you won't listen to anyone but Alaric?" Cecilia confirmed.
"Yes, Mrs. Whitaker," the bodyguard replied.
Cecilia glared at the bodyguard in front of her.
She knew that even if she died here today, these people wouldn't let her leave.
Alaric had that much power.
He had that much control now.
She couldn't fight it.
She suppressed her emotions and dialed another number.
The call connected, and a voice with some confusion answered, "Cecilia?"
"Yes, it's Cecilia. What's Juniper's number?" Cecilia asked calmly.
Right.
She called Lyra.
Now, besides Juniper, she didn't know who else knew Alaric's whereabouts.
And the only way she could contact Juniper was through Lyra.
Lyra sneered, "What? Can't take it anymore? Want to argue with Juniper?"
"It's not about Alaric. I have other important matters to discuss with her."
"What matters?" Lyra was clearly not easily convinced.
"I can't find Alaric right now. I need to contact him through Juniper." Cecilia knew that if she didn't give a reason, Lyra wouldn't agree.
"So it's still about Alaric," Lyra concluded.
Cecilia didn't want to argue, she said, "Can you give me Juniper's number?"
"No," Lyra refused directly.
Cecilia gripped her phone tightly.
She knew Lyra wouldn't be so kind.
But she had no other choice.
"Who knows what you're calling Juniper for? Juniper is now..." Lyra paused, "Anyway, someone you can't mess with."
"If I wanted to provoke her, I would have done it long ago. There's no need to wait until today."
"Even so, I won't help you. Why should I help you?" Lyra sneered.
"Lyra, if it weren't for me, you would have died at Dominic's hands," Cecilia said bluntly.
"But if it weren't for me, Alaric would have died at Dominic's hands. You saved me just to use me against Dominic. Do you think I'm stupid?" Lyra didn't appreciate it at all, "Besides, the miscarriage back then, you can't deny your involvement."
Cecilia certainly wouldn't admit that Lyra's miscarriage had anything to do with her, "It had nothing to do with me!"
"Forget it, I have no evidence, and I don't want to say more. But Cecilia, isn't your life too miserable? Your first boyfriend, Dominic, was taken by me, and your second boyfriend, Alaric, was taken by Juniper. Weren't you always so capable? In the end, you still ended up being abandoned!" Lyra said, full of sarcasm.
