Chapter 739 Sebastian's Threat

Dashiell's grip on his phone suddenly tightened.

His face darkened, and a bloodthirsty look flashed in his eyes.

He thought that Sebastian's feelings for Seraphina would prevent him from doing anything dangerous to her. Otherwise, he wouldn't have given up such a good opportunity to kill him today, just for Seraphina.

He never expected Sebastian to change so drastically.

So Dashiell's hand trembled slightly.

Tonight, Seraphina called him for help.

If he had answered the phone then, would Seraphina not have been kidnapped?

Dashiell's face changed dramatically.

Atticus anxiously said, "Now Sebastian wants me to transfer my shares and then commit suicide after everything is done!"

"Are you at The Everhart Mansion?" Dashiell tried to calm himself.

"Yes."

"I'll be right there."

"Okay." Atticus nodded, then reminded, "Don't call the police. If you do, Sebastian will kill Seraphina."

"I know," Dashiell replied.

They couldn't alert Sebastian now.

Sebastian had already gone to extremes.

He could do anything.

Dashiell quickly got out of bed.

He dressed swiftly, seemingly no longer feeling the pain in his back.

He drove to The Everhart Mansion.

Atticus was already waiting in the hall, pacing nervously.

By then, the sky was starting to lighten.

Seeing Dashiell, Atticus rushed over as if seeing a savior. "Dashiell, what should we do? I'm really worried Sebastian will do something cruel!"

"First, tell me what exactly Sebastian wants you to do?" Dashiell was noticeably calmer.

Atticus took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. "Sebastian approached Seraphina from the beginning for revenge. I caused Simon's death back then, but it was just business competition. I was indeed despicable, but I didn't expect such consequences. Now Sebastian is back for revenge. He just called and told me to transfer all my shares to Seraphina and give him control. After that, he wants me to commit suicide."

Dashiell listened to Atticus's hurried words without commenting.

"My death doesn't matter; I'm old anyway. But if Seraphina dies because of me, I'll truly regret it!" Atticus said heavily.

At that moment, Atticus's eyes were red.

He held back his tears.

"Follow Sebastian's demands for now," Dashiell said. "I'll go rescue Seraphina."

Atticus was stunned. "Can you save her?"

Atticus found it hard to believe.

And what if Sebastian found out and killed Seraphina?

"Call Sebastian and agree to his demands, but insist on speaking with Seraphina. We need to ensure she's still alive."

Atticus was clearly frightened.

Did Dashiell mean Seraphina was already in danger?

"Just make it clear to Sebastian that if he harms Seraphina, we won't agree to his demands," Dashiell explained.

Atticus nodded.

"As for Sebastian's demand for you to commit suicide..." Dashiell said seriously, "Whether I rescue Seraphina or not, don't do it. If you die, Sebastian will gain control of Everhart Bank and likely kill Seraphina to cover his tracks. If you stay alive, Seraphina might live longer. Sebastian will use her to threaten you. Do you understand?"

"I understand." Atticus hadn't thought it through before.

Now, hearing Dashiell's analysis, he understood.

If Atticus died, Sebastian would succeed and eliminate all obstacles. But if he stayed alive, Sebastian wouldn't dare act rashly. Killing Seraphina would lead Atticus to call the police, and Sebastian would face consequences.

"Do you have a computer?" Dashiell asked.

"Yes," Atticus quickly replied.

Atticus instructed a servant, "Bring the computer from my study."

The servant quickly fetched the computer and handed it to Dashiell.

Dashiell opened the computer, connected it to his phone, and his fingers flew over the keyboard.

Atticus didn't know what Dashiell was doing but was too nervous to interrupt.

After setting everything up, Dashiell looked at Atticus. "Call Sebastian now."

Atticus quickly dialed Sebastian.

It rang a few times before being answered.

Sebastian had just lain down to sleep.

He couldn't sleep, just needed to regain some strength.

There were still many things to do.

He answered slowly, "Atticus."

"I need to see Seraphina," Atticus said directly.

Sebastian's face darkened.

"I need to see Seraphina alive and well," Atticus insisted.

Sebastian got out of bed. "Fine."

He left the bedroom and walked towards Seraphina.

Seraphina watched Sebastian warily.

Sebastian put the phone to Seraphina's mouth. "Speak."

Seeing the name on the screen, Seraphina knew it was Atticus.

She gritted her teeth and stayed silent.

"Seraphina, don't make me hurt you," Sebastian threatened.

Seraphina remained silent.

Sebastian's eyes turned cold, and he grabbed her chin hard.

The force made Seraphina's eyes redden, and tears fell.

But she still didn't speak.

She thought that if she stayed silent, Atticus wouldn't know she was alive and wouldn't be threatened by Sebastian.

"If you don't speak..." Sebastian suddenly released her chin.

Her chin was red and looked terrible.

"I'll tear your clothes and let Atticus hear us having sex..."

"Sebastian, you devil!" Atticus's angry voice came from the phone.

Seraphina heard Atticus's anger.

Her eyes were red.

She never thought it would come to this.

That Sebastian would push her to this point.

Ignoring Atticus's voice, Sebastian said to Seraphina, "Should I kiss you first or spread your legs..."

"Sebastian, enough!" Atticus was furious.

He felt a moment of darkness, almost fainting.

"By the way, Atticus has severe hypertension. One more shock, and he might have a stroke..." Sebastian said with a sinister smile.
