Chapter 183 Cecilia Became Famous
Cecilia squirmed, trying to resist. Alaric wouldn't back off. She felt like she was about to lose her virginity.
"No, I haven't," she blurted out.
Alaric stopped kissing her. "I haven't," she repeated. "I've never been with a man."
Not in this life, anyway. Dominic had violated her in her past life, but she didn't count him. So, technically, she hadn't. It was a stretch, but she believed it.
Alaric's annoyed look softened, even a slight smile appeared.
"Let go of me," she pushed against him. He was heavy, making it hard to breathe. Alaric didn't move.
"Do you want to experience it?" he asked, his tone suggestive.
Cecilia's face turned flushed. "Alaric, you said you wouldn't force me, that you'd wait until I was ready," she said calmly.
"Did I say that?" Alaric frowned, looking confused. Cecilia gritted her teeth.
"Alright, I did say that," he admitted, seeing her expression. She couldn't figure him out sometimes. Just as she relaxed a bit, he said, "But I've changed my mind."
Her anger flared, but Alaric suddenly got off her. She felt uneasy, staring at him, unsure of his next move.
"If you keep looking at me, I might really have to verify it..." he teased.
Cecilia threw off the covers, grabbed her phone, and rushed into the bathroom, locking the door behind her. Alaric looked towards the bathroom door.
'Who needs a cold shower now?' he thought.
Cecilia sat on the toilet, about to check the news when her phone rang. It was Seraphina.
"Seraphina," she answered.
"Cecilia, have you seen the news?" Seraphina asked, always calling at the right moment.
"What's up?"
"You're famous. The news says you're a hidden gem, perfect and unique. Whoever marries you is incredibly lucky," Seraphina said, beyond excited.
Cecilia had heard many compliments before, but hearing Seraphina say it so bluntly made her happy. Praise was always nice.
"So, Alaric's lucky, and Dominic's just unlucky!" Seraphina concluded.
"Why are you up so early?" Cecilia changed the subject, not wanting a long chat.
"I didn't want to, but..." Seraphina hesitated, "Anyway, I'm awake. I saw your news everywhere. If you became a star, all those celebrities would have to step aside. How are you so amazing now? Before, I just thought you were smart, but now you're incredible. Teach me how to be like you."
"Do you really want to learn?" Cecilia asked seriously.
Seraphina thought for a moment, "No."
Cecilia fell silent.
"I'd rather live an ordinary life," Seraphina said.
"Can you be a bit more ambitious?"
"Just because the people around me are amazing, doesn't that mean I'm amazing too?" Seraphina said confidently.
Cecilia was momentarily speechless.
"Alright, I have to get up now," Seraphina stretched, "I'm taking wedding photos today."
"With Sebastian?" Cecilia asked.
"Of course," Seraphina found the question odd, "Who else?"
Cecilia held back from saying more.
"Remember to check the news," Seraphina said excitedly.
"Got it, go do your thing."
"Talk later."
Seraphina abruptly hung up. Cecilia felt a bit silent. She opened the news app, and a pop-up appeared.
#Cecilia, the hidden gem, is the chief designer of Harmony Threads.#
She clicked in. The news was full of praise, with photos from the Harmony Threads event. She looked stunning.
She read through many comments.
[How can there be such an outstanding woman? Beautiful and talented.]
[I feel like I don't deserve to breathe the same air as Cecilia.]
Cecilia smiled. The comments amused her. She read the news for a long time, almost all about the Harmony Threads event. Then she saw a less popular article.
#Chief Designer vs. Chief Model, one current and one ex-girlfriend, Cecilia and Rebecca, who is better?#
Curious, she clicked in. The article was an objective comparison of her and Rebecca, with photos from the event. The comments overwhelmingly favored Cecilia.
The comment section was neat. Occasionally, someone wrote more, but they were scolded into deleting and rearranging their comments.
"Are you stuck in the toilet or eating shit?" Alaric's irritable voice came from outside.
