Chapter 571 Penelope's Revenge (4) Dashiell's Arrival

In the rundown warehouse, Penelope's true face was finally revealed.

With a wild look, she yelled at Seraphina, "You have no right to call Dashiell a bastard, no right to insult him!"

Seraphina, her cheek stinging from the slap, gritted her teeth and glared at Penelope. That slap had been brutal.

Penelope clearly had issues with Dashiell, but she couldn't stand anyone badmouthing him.

How much did Penelope love Dashiell?

"Seraphina, you're the idiot. You picked Sebastian over Dashiell. Do you even know what kind of guy Sebastian is?" Penelope suddenly laughed, like she was getting some twisted pleasure out of it.

Seraphina watched her closely, seeing the madness in Penelope's eyes.

"But I'm not gonna tell you!" Penelope sneered, "I'll make sure you die never realizing how stupid your life was!"

"Penelope, what do you want?" Seraphina had no clue what Penelope was on about and didn't care to find out.

One thing was clear: if she kept facing Penelope like this, she'd lose her mind!

"What do I want? I want to kill you, but first, I'm gonna make you suffer!" Penelope snarled.

"You're insane!" Seraphina finally lost it.

Seraphina didn't want to die; she was still so young.

"Do you know that killing is against the law?" Seraphina shot back.

"Against the law?" Penelope laughed, "Do you think I haven't broken enough laws? Dominic and I have done plenty in secret. We even thought about killing Lyra. You think I'm scared to kill you?"

Fear washed over Seraphina.

She'd thought Penelope was just a bit nasty, but she hadn't expected her to be so downright evil, talking about murder like it was nothing.

"Seeing me differently now?" Penelope asked.

"Lunatic!" Seraphina spat.

"Seraphina, do you know what I can't stand the most in this life?" Penelope said.

"Dashiell doesn't love you!" Seraphina shouted back.

But who was to blame for that? Wasn't it Penelope's own fault?

"That's just part of it." Penelope's eyes were cold as she watched Seraphina's growing distress. "I still can't get how Dominic lost to Cecilia! Do you know what Dominic did to Cecilia? How did she escape his control?" she demanded.

"Evil can't beat good!" Seraphina shot back, "You think you covered all your bases, but fate won't let you off! Losing to Cecilia was always your destiny!"

"Enough!" Penelope snapped.

She could blame Dashiell's lack of love on his devotion to Seraphina, but losing to Cecilia was something she couldn't swallow.

Admitting it would mean accepting that the Kingsley family was truly inferior to Cecilia.

And the Kingsleys always had this weird superiority complex, thinking no one was as smart as them.

They thought they could control everyone and that no one could match them. But now, they'd lost.

The more Penelope thought about it, the angrier she got.

At that moment, Seraphina felt a strange sense of satisfaction.

Luckily, Cecilia had seen right through the Kingsley family's dirty tricks. If she hadn't, who knows what kind of hell they would've put her through—probably worse than death.

"Seraphina, I've had enough of you!" Penelope's face twisted with rage, and the murderous look in her eyes was unmistakable.

Even though Seraphina had braced herself, she still felt a primal fear at Penelope's transformation. She bit her lip hard and glared at Penelope.

"Since I can't kill Cecilia, killing you will be my revenge!" Penelope hissed.

Seraphina's body trembled slightly at those words.

"Before you die," Penelope said coldly, eyeing Seraphina up and down.

Seraphina stiffened, trying not to completely break down.

"I really want to see what Dashiell sees in you," Penelope sneered. "After thinking it over, it must be your body! Even I have to admit, your figure could seduce any man!"

Seraphina's eyes widened in fear, her body trembling uncontrollably.

"You two!" Penelope called out to the two men, who stepped forward.

"Strip her!" she ordered viciously.

"Penelope!" Seraphina couldn't believe what she was hearing.

But Penelope was unmoved by Seraphina's breakdown. Instead, she looked forward to it, eager to see Seraphina humiliated.

She thought it would be very satisfying to watch everything unfold.

The two men stepped forward and, without hesitation, began tearing at Seraphina's clothes.

Just as they were about to pull her clothes off, the warehouse door suddenly made a loud noise.

Penelope's face changed. 'Did Dashiell get here so fast?' she thought.

They were at the farthest dock on the edge of Serenovia City. Even the nearest place in the city would take at least half an hour to reach, and even at top speed, it would still take over 20 minutes.

But now, it had been less than 15 minutes since she made the call.

How much did Dashiell love Seraphina to come to her rescue so recklessly, like a madman?

As Penelope thought about this, her face grew darker and darker.

She had planned for Dashiell to arrive just in time to see Seraphina being violated.

She wanted to make Dashiell suffer, to make him regret.

She glared fiercely at the warehouse door, watching as it was kicked repeatedly, making loud noises.

"Cover her eyes and mouth!" Penelope ordered.

Penelope didn't want Seraphina to see Dashiell coming to save her and feel smug in front of her.

Even if Seraphina was doomed to die today, Penelope wanted her to die in the most miserable way possible.

The two men covered Seraphina's eyes, put earphones on her, and played loud noises through them so she couldn't hear anything from the outside. Finally, they gagged her with a cloth so she couldn't make any sound.

But Seraphina knew someone had come.

'Is someone here to save me?' she wondered, her heart racing. The mix of hope and fear made her feel utterly broken.

Finally, the iron door was kicked open.

How much strength did it take to kick down an iron door?

When Penelope saw Dashiell, she was almost certain that the person who would take Seraphina away from her today was him.
