Chapter 362 A Fling
Cecilia stretched out like a lazy cat.
It was 10 p.m. again.
Every day felt so packed.
Just as she was about to holler at Augustus to call it a night, her phone buzzed.
She glanced at the caller ID and picked up. "Cassius. What's up?"
"Didn't you tell me to keep tabs on Andrew?"
"Got anything?" Cecilia asked.
"He's been getting real cozy with Eloise lately," Cassius spilled.
"How cozy?" Cecilia pushed.
"They hooked up," Cassius said straight up.
Cecilia's face twisted.
Typical Andrew, no morals at all.
If he was messing with Eloise, he probably had got involved with Dominic.
He'd totally forgotten who drove Isadora to her end.
"Get me a video, I need proof," Cecilia demanded.
"Got it," Cassius agreed right away.
"Seen Andrew with Dominic?" Cecilia asked.
"Nope," Cassius replied.
"Keep watching," Cecilia ordered.
"You think Andrew's in cahoots with Dominic?" Cassius asked.
"For this Innovation Arc project, Andrew's the rat." Cecilia didn't hold back.
Since Alaric vouched for Cassius, she trusted him.
"I'll hit you up as soon as I catch them together," Cassius promised.
"Just get the evidence," Cecilia said bluntly.
No need to waste more time.
"Okay," Cassius agreed and hung up.
He immediately called Alaric, "Dominic is likely to play dirty with the Innovation Arc project."
"What do you mean?" Alaric asked.
"I just talked to Cecilia. She said Andrew's Dominic's mole," Cassius explained.
Alaric frowned a bit.
Cassius added, somewhat admiringly, "Cecilia's way sharper than I thought. She's probably sped up our plans by three years."
"Dominic's no fool either; he won't get caught easily. Keep an eye on him," Alaric advised.
"Don't worry." Cassius nodded. "By the way, Cecilia..."
"Enough," Alaric cut him off.
"I wasn't done," Cassius said, a bit annoyed.
He wanted to break down Cecilia's moves with Alaric.
Alaric replied, "We'll text later."
"Got something going on?"
"Cecilia called me."
And with that, Alaric hung up.
Cassius, staring at his phone, muttered,
"Ditching your bros for girls."
Cassius sat in the nightclub's private room, feeling kinda ticked off.
There used to be a crowd in here.
Now, he was all alone.
Solo partying sucked.
Cassius uncrossed his legs, opened the door, and was about to bounce.
Just as he reached the door, a woman suddenly crashed into him.
Honestly, Cassius didn't mind this kind of surprise.
He looked at the slightly tipsy woman clutching his shirt, all urgent and kinda flirty. "Please take me away."
She was trembling, like she was really being chased.
He scoffed inwardly, 'Another one after the money.'Lucky for her, he wasn't a buzzkill.
He just held her and whispered in her ear, "I'll get you outta here."
The woman clung to his shirt, like she was scared he'd ditch her.
What a great actress! She should be in Hollywood.
Cassius led her to his car.
Inside, she kept holding onto his shirt.
Her body kept shaking.
She looked like she was dealing with something heavy.
Cassius frowned. "You can drop the act now, you've got my attention."
But she kept trembling.
Getting a bit annoyed, Cassius lifted her face. "I said you don't need to—"
She suddenly kissed him, hard.
The heat of it left Cassius a bit stunned.
This chick was way too forward.
Her urgency was throwing him off.
After a steamy kiss, Cassius pushed her away, "Wait till we get to the hotel..."
But she kissed him again.
Then, she started feeling him up all over.
Damn.
In all his years, he'd never met someone this initiative.
At that point, Cassius couldn't hold back anymore.
He told the driver to pull over.
In the early hours of the night, the car rocked almost till dawn.
By morning, Cassius felt completely drained.
He'd never been tangled up with a woman like this before.
He shifted, feeling her still on top of him.
She was gonna crush him.
He nudged her. "Wake up."
Groggy, she got off him.
Seeing the man beneath her, she suddenly screamed.
Cassius nearly jumped out of his skin.
He quickly covered her mouth, "Didn't you scream enough last night?"
She looked at him in horror.
She just stared at him, tears pouring.
Cassius was at a loss.
"Can you stop the drama?" he said.
She kept crying.
"How much money do you want? I'll pay," Cassius said, annoyed.
Seeing her calm down a bit, he let go of her mouth.
She didn't scream again.
She just covered herself and huddled to one side.
Cassius picked up her clothes from the floor. "Put these on. I'll get someone to drive."
She glanced at him, took the clothes, and silently dressed.
Cassius also put on his own clothes.
Both their clothes were pretty torn up, proof of the wild night.
Cassius opened the car door.
The driver had been standing outside all night.
Seeing the door open, he quickly said, "Mr. Blackburn."
"Drive back."
"Yes, sir."
The driver finally got in the car.
Last night was something else!
"Where are you headed?" Cassius asked.
She gave an address.
Cassius told the driver to go there first, then said, "Give me your account number."
She looked at him blankly.
"I said, bank account number!" Cassius snapped.
Was she faking it?
She bit her lip lightly, "No need."
Cassius thought he misheard.
"No need," she repeated.
"This won't change how I see you. Don't try to get close to me like this." Cassius said sarcastically.
"I won't," she said firmly.
Cassius had no patience for games.
If she wanted to pretend, fine by him.
She should know better than to try and scam him.
The car arrived at her destination.
She got out without a word.
Cassius didn't look back and told the driver to head home.
As he glanced down, he saw a red stain on the back seat.
Cassius paused for a moment but shrugged it off.
Whether it was real or fake, it didn't matter to him.
After all, her first time could've been with him or someone else.
He didn't think it was anything special.
