Chapter 188 Mocking Juliana on the Spot

"Got any other questions?" Cecilia asked, sounding bored.

She knew Rebecca was probably fuming but stayed cool.

Like she said, when you expect something, it's not surprising.

"I'm leaving Serenovia City today," Rebecca blurted out.

She seemed calmer now.

Cecilia had already figured that out.

With all the chaos in Serenovia City, Rebecca was bound to be sent away.

The Adams Family's main base was in Astralton City. They'd moved a lot to Serenovia City to boost the economy. Now, with Rebecca causing so much trouble, she was definitely getting sent back, maybe even locked up.

Cecilia could picture Rebecca's miserable days ahead.

No sympathy here.

After all she'd been through, Cecilia wasn't that kind-hearted anymore.

"Take care," she said coldly.

She didn't want to waste time on Rebecca.

Rebecca's hand holding the phone was shaking.

Cecilia could always provoke her, making her lose control instantly.

Rebecca held back and said, "Once I leave, I won't come back to Serenovia City, and I'll never see Alaric again."

"So?" Cecilia raised an eyebrow.

"I have something I want you to tell Alaric," Rebecca said.

"Tell him yourself."

"He won't take my calls."

"Do you think I'd help you?"

"At least you answered my call," Rebecca shot back.

Cecilia laughed, "I answered just to see how miserable you are. I'm not that kind-hearted."

"Cecilia!"

"Rebecca, don't think I'm like everyone else you've met," Cecilia sneered. "Goodbye forever!"

Cecilia hung up.

Rebecca and Alaric's drama was their problem.

If Rebecca could sweet-talk Alaric, that was her business. Cecilia could ignore it. Her marriage to Alaric was fake, and she didn't care much.

But she wasn't going to help them pass messages.

She wasn't that generous.

Putting down the phone, Cecilia picked up the landline and said, "Rose, schedule a special meeting for the Tower of Light in half an hour."

"Yes."

Half an hour later.

Cecilia sat at the head of the table, leading the meeting.

Everyone gave updates on their projects according to the Tower of Light's plan.

Juliana reported on the promotional plan.

She spoke passionately on stage.

Cecilia listened without any emotion.

After Juliana finished, she looked at Cecilia, feeling uneasy.

She couldn't figure out what Cecilia was thinking.

The old Cecilia wasn't this formidable, didn't have this aura, and definitely didn't have so many impressive titles.

Juliana had once adored a dress by Crane. She couldn't afford the original, so she bought a high-quality knockoff, which she still kept in her closet, too reluctant to wear. Now, she wanted to shred it to pieces!

"I think it's terrible," Cecilia said bluntly.

Juliana's face fell.

In front of everyone, Cecilia shot down her plan.

"First, your gifts and activities lack originality. If I remember right, a mall in Mosterwania used this last year. Good marketing strategies can be borrowed, but this idea is just ordinary." Cecilia's words were a harsh critique.

Juliana didn't dare to argue.

She had found the plan online and copied it.

She didn't expect Cecilia to know about such an obscure event.

"Second, this isn't a promotional activity; it's just a mall giveaway. Consumers see it as a basic benefit, not a special offer from us. They won't feel any appreciation," Cecilia continued.

Juliana looked pitiful, but inside, she wanted to strangle Cecilia.

When did Cecilia get so smart?

"Third, this promotion has no stickiness. It's a one-time deal. If consumers like the mall, they might come back; if not, they won't. Impressions are hard to control. We need to make them come back for a second purchase." Cecilia pointed out three flaws sharply. She looked at Juliana and instructed, "I want a new plan by tomorrow morning."

Juliana bit her lip, not responding.

"Can't you do it?" Cecilia pressed.

"No," Juliana quickly shook her head.

She couldn't look more embarrassed.

She had to agree reluctantly.

Cecilia moved on, "Next item."

The meeting didn't last long, despite many projects.

Juliana followed the crowd out and returned to her office.

Back in her office, she threw the file onto her desk.

Thinking about how Cecilia had criticized her so harshly, she was furious.

When did Cecilia change so much?

Juliana couldn't stand it. She called Vincent, "Dad."

Her voice was choked with sobs.

Vincent had been in a bad mood lately.

He hadn't expected Rebecca to be defeated by Cecilia so easily. He had high hopes for Rebecca but didn't realize she was so vulnerable!

He also heard that the Tower of Light's occupancy had reached sixty percent and was expected to hit eighty percent by reopening.

If this continued, the loss-making project would soon be profitable. If things kept going well, Cecilia's promise to the board would be easily fulfilled.

The more Vincent thought about it, the angrier he got.

Hearing Juliana's sobbing voice, he was also impatient, "What's wrong with you now?"
