Chapter 335 Alaric Infuriates Dominic
Cecilia dialed the familiar number.
The other side quickly picked up, "What can I do for you, Ms. Lockhart?"
"Couldn't I call you just to chat?"?"
"Of course you can, I'm just a bit flattered."
"You were behind today's news, weren't you?" Cecilia asked, though she was already certain of the answer.
"Does it please Ms. Lockhart?"
"I was thinking that Dominic would have been pissed off."
"If he isn't dead, that's not a good outcome."
"You're ruthless!"
"Did Ms. Lockhart call just to praise me for upsetting Dominic?" Alaric asked.
He had a teasing tone, and his voice was incredibly magnetic.
"Of course not, do I seem that bored? Besides, just upsetting him doesn't make me that happy; killing him would be more satisfying!" Cecilia gritted her teeth.
"I absolutely love how you're so clear-cut with your feelings."
Cecilia was once again teased by Alaric.
She cleared her throat and decided to get straight to the point, "Seraphina asked me to invite you to dinner tonight to celebrate."
"Who?"
"Seraphina."
"Just because she wants to celebrate me doesn't mean I have to let her," Alaric said bluntly. "I'm not going."
Cecilia was so angry she could barely speak, "Why are you so hostile towards Seraphina?"
"Because she treats Dashiell poorly," Alaric said openly, making no effort to hide the deep connection between him and Dashiell.
"Dashiell doesn't mind, so why do you?"
"I'm righteous."
Cecilia thought, 'You're just looking for trouble.'
"Anyway, I've already made plans with Seraphina. If you don't go, I'll just invite Cassius, Augustus, and Dashiell. It's just an excuse to drink, your absence won't matter." Cecilia said deliberately.
"Don't you know you're on your period? Drinking could be dangerous!"
Cecilia thought, 'Who said drinking alcohol during my period is dangerous?
Alaric, have you lost all common sense?'
"Where?" he suddenly agreed.
Seriously, Alaric didn't hold his ground for even a second."Savoria Bistro. I'll come pick you up with Augustus after I get off work."
Alaric responded, but his tone held some reluctance.
"Alright, it's settled then. See you later."
"Let Seraphina know that I'm not going because of her invitation; I'm doing it for your sake," Alaric clarified.
Cecilia couldn't be bothered to respond to Alaric.
She could only describe him with one word-childish.
Cecilia left work on time at 5:30 p.m. for the first time, feeling a sense of urgency.
Even Augustus found it a bit hard to adapt.
They drove to the State Office.
Alaric's off time was six o'clock.
She arrived ten minutes early.
She didn't hurry Alaric, waiting in the parking spot near the entrance.
Cecilia was reading today's news while holding her cell phone, and the more she read, the better she felt.
She was so engrossed that she didn't notice someone knocking on her car window.
Cecilia frowned.
She looked up and saw Dominic.
Honestly, she really didn't want to deal with Dominic.
But thinking about his miserable defeat today, Cecilia suddenly felt it wouldn't be so bad to mock him a bit.
He played a dirty trick on Alaric and made him leave Serenovia City for half a year.
Thinking about the two of them being separated for half a year, she was furious.
Cecilia directly opened the car door.
Dominic was a bit surprised.
He didn't expect Cecilia to get out of the car directly.
He had seen Cecilia's car and couldn't help but walk over.
It was just his instinct.
Dominic gritted his teeth secretly, just staring at Cecilia.
He noticed that Cecilia seemed to be getting more and more beautiful.
As if she had gained more confidence.
Her confidence enhanced her sophisticated beauty, projecting an aura of elegance and presence, a stark contrast to the timid woman he once knew.
He showed a look of disdain, "Are you here to pick up Alaric?"
"Do you think I'm here to pick you up?" Cecilia mocked.
Dominic's face clearly turned grim, but he slowly acted indifferent, "I really have no attachment to you, so you don't need to be so sarcastic in front of me."
Cecilia replied, "I'll say the same to you, I have no feelings for you either."
"You're quite realistic." Dominic said coldly, "Seeing Alaric's advancement, you start to flatter him? You know what men hate the most? Women like you, cheap and boring."
Cecilia was about to retort.
"Whether Cecilia is interesting or not is none of your business. she's my woman. and you have no right to criticize her," came Alaric's voice from behind.
Cecilia smiled slightly, so she didn't need to waste her breath.
Alaric could infuriate Dominic with just one sentence.
The next moment, Alaric walked over and affectionately pulled her into his arms.
Cecilia naturally didn't resist, even leaning in closer to show intimacy.
"As I said, whether a woman is interesting or not is a reflection of the man. If you're not up to par, you have no right to blame the woman."
"You..." Dominic's face was extremely grim.
Just as he was about to speak, Alaric interrupted, "By the way, a kind reminder to Mr. Kingsley. According to world population statistics, there are more men than women in society now. In the future, there will be plenty of men who can't find a woman. Mr. Kingsley, you'd better improve yourself, or you'll end up as one of those men, which would be a disgrace to the Kingsley family's ancestors.Mr. Kingsley, you'd better take care."
After saying that, Alaric didn't give Dominic a chance to speak.
He held Cecilia and got into the car.
The car sped away from Dominic.
Dominic clenched his fists in anger, his whole body trembling.
Seeing Alaric and Cecilia's smug expressions and their affectionate display, he felt an overwhelming urge to tear them apart!
Inside the car, Cecilia seemed to glance back at Dominic.
She just wanted to see how furious he looked.
As soon as she turned back, Alaric was displeased.
"Is he more handsome than me?"
Cecilia was speechless, looking back at Alaric. "Are you that jealous?"
"From now on, don't look at him again." He didn't deny it at all, even made a demand.
Cecilia asked, "Not even to laugh at him?"
"No."
"You're so overbearing." Cecilia was angry.
"Would you be happy if I looked at other women?"
"Haven't you seen enough?"
He had reviewed many women before, yet now dared to make such comments.
"Thinking about all the women you had before makes me feel at a loss." Cecilia suddenly felt a bit upset.
Previously, she hadn't cared much, but at this moment, she found herself very concerned about it.
"Should I have more men then..." Cecilia widened her eyes at Alaric.
Cecilia was kissed by Alaric until she couldn't breathe.
Augustus, in the driver's seat, had gotten so used to it that he could still hum a song while driving.
