Chapter 321 Danger (10) Cecilia's Confession: "Alaric, I love you."

The ideal contrasted with reality.

When Cassius was nagging Alaric to take out his anger on Cecilia, Alaric rudely grabbed the towel from his hand and then urgently and gently helped Cecilia dry her hair.

Cassius thought, 'Damn. The difference in treatment was too obvious.'

He was still waiting for them to fight!

Cecilia watched Alaric in the car's back seat, his anger evident yet restrained. She sensed his internal struggle.

She smiled lightly.

She was trying to make herself smile after being overly frightened.

And her smile clearly made Alaric's eyebrows twitch.

"What are you smiling about?" Alaric asked.

Honestly, he couldn't keep silent with Cecilia any longer.

"I'm smiling because I'm happy," Cecilia answered honestly.

"You're still happy? If I had been a few minutes later, you would be deadright now!" Alaric's face was extremely grim.

Thinking about what had just happened, he couldn't help but feel a bit scared.

"I don't know why, but when I was thrown into the river, I just felt that you would come to save me," Cecilia said seriously.

That was why she remained calm after being thrown in, trying to keep herself from passing out.

She silently cheered herself on, trying to hold on until the last second.

She had a belief that Alaric would definitely appear.

Cecilia held onto this thought.

Nobody knew how moved she was when Alaric actually appeared.

"Cecilia, I'm not a god. I can't always come to save you every time something happens to you. If I had been a little bit later, you would have really died!" Alaric said coldly.

He didn't feel half as relaxed as Cecilia did at the moment, even joyful.

Cecilia obediently nodded, "I'll be more careful next time."

"There won't be a next time. From now on, you're not allowed to follow me to such dangerous places. If there's any danger around me, you stay far away!" Alaric ordered.

His domineering tone left no room for argument.

"Do you think I can just sit back and do nothing when you're in danger?" Cecilia asked him deeply.

"I'm not asking for your opinion," Alaric replied.

"When the person you love is in danger, can you just sit back and do nothing?" Cecilia repeated her question.

"I said I'm not asking for your..." Alaric suddenly froze.

It seemed he realized something.

He just looked at Cecilia, staring at her intently.

Alaric seemed to not believe what she had said.

The two of them stared at each other.

Cecilia said, "Alaric, I love you."

Alaric's heartbeat clearly sped up.

Cecilia sensed she could visualize the rhythm of his heart with her bare eyes.

Cassius, sitting in the front passenger seat, heard Cecilia's confession and had a disdainful smile on his face.

He thought, 'These two are seriously cringeworthy.'

But in his heart, Cassius felt inexplicably comforted.

It was rare for Alaric to like a woman, and it was rare that this woman also liked Alaric.

"When I knew you might be in danger, I actually hesitated about whether to come find you. I guessed there would definitely be danger, but in the end, I still came, without hesitation," Cecilia said to Alaric, deeply and sincerely. "Alaric, I'm not being impulsive. I just wanted to see how much I love you."

Cecilia was saying how much she loved him.

Not whether she loved him or not.

"It turns out, I really love you." Cecilia said.

It was as if, in this life and the last, it was the first time she had confessed so deeply to a man.

In her past life with Dominic, she cared for him deeply but held back her feelings due to her pride. She believed Dominic understood her feelings without her needing to express them. She couldn't bring herself to say such affectionate words to Dominic.

But with Alaric, she felt a strong urge to share her sincerest thoughts.

When she was thrown into the Silvershade River, she thought that if she could survive, she would tell Alaric everything.

Life could be long or short.

She didn't want to leave any regrets.

Cecilia's confession really left Alaric stunned for a long time.

The sudden confession made him stiffen.

He actually knew Cecilia had feelings for him and could feel that bit of affection from her, but to be truly confessed to by Cecilia, the emotional turmoil deep inside was indescribable.

He just stiffened there, not moving at all.

Cecilia felt a bit awkward, even annoyed, by Alaric's silence.

She thought, 'Wasn't he supposed to like me a lot?'

Now that she had admitted her feelings, he looked like he was scared by me.'

Cecilia was a bit angry.

She was suddenly pulled into Alaric's arms.

Cecilia was held tightly as if she were being rubbed into his body.

In his embrace, Cecilia felt completely enveloped.

At this moment, Cecilia even felt Alaric's embrace trembling.

He was trembling with excitement.

Cecilia smiled lightly.

She really felt deep love from Alaric.

She wrapped her arms around Alaric's body.

The two wet bodies held each other tightly.

Clearly, it was very eye-catching.

Cassius just glanced back through the rearview mirror.

He saw the two of them clinging to each other.

It was really unbearable to watch!

Cassius rolled his eyes and turned his gaze away.

In the car, Alaric's deep voice sounded again, "Cecilia, did you know I was very angry, so you deliberately used this way to please me?"

She deliberately used this way to please him.

So that he couldn't get angry at her.

"Wouldn't you be just as unlikely to be mad at me if I didn't have to do it that way?" Cecilia exposed him.

Alaric was furious.

Cecilia's arrival in Lindwood to locate him had breached his limits; she even dared to stay there alone to gather evidence. Did she know how dangerous this place was? It could be said that death was everywhere, but she still recklessly chose to be alone.

When he found out, he was so scared that he almost had a heart attack.

He didn't dare waste a second and called her immediately, only to find her phone was off. Without thinking, he went straight to the Silvershade River. According to the usual methods here, if someone was killed, they would definitely be thrown into the river. If Cecilia hadn't been thrown into the river, it meant she wasn't dead yet.

Fortunately, she wasn't dead yet!
