Chapter 168 The Busy Cecilia

Cecilia had to give Cassius some credit. He'd done her plenty of favors, and she knew she'd need more from him down the line. So, she decided to make the first move.

Of course, she wasn't about to spill the beans now, or they'd think she was nuts.

She casually said, "You'll get it later. If everything's good, let's sign the contract."

Chris was still on the fence. When something seems too good to be true, you worry about getting scammed.

Lily, on the other hand, was more decisive. "I'll sign," she said.

Chris looked at her, puzzled.

Lily explained, "Given our situation, it can't get worse. Plus, I trust Mrs. Whitaker."

Chris, reassured by Lily, said, "Alright, let's sign."

Cecilia watched them sign the contract. "The endorsement fee will hit Mr. Sanders' account within three days. Make sure to give Lily a fresh look for her public reappearance."

"Okay," Chris agreed quickly.

"By the way, Louis Turner, the top international makeup artist, would be perfect for her. Get him to help."

Chris hesitated but then agreed, knowing how pricey Louis was. But with the hefty endorsement fee, he couldn't refuse. Plus, it seemed like Cecilia genuinely cared about Lily's career.

"We won't take up more of your time. My secretary will send Ms. White's schedule two days in advance."

"Alright, thanks."

Cecilia nodded and left with her team. Chris and Lily were stunned.

Chris joked, "Are you and Cecilia long-lost sisters?"

Lily laughed. She wished!

After sealing the deal, Cecilia headed back to the office. Rose was puzzled. Lily was no match for Wendy. Once the Starlight Group and Lockhart Group announced their endorsers, Lockhart would be at a disadvantage. Was Cecilia just asking for trouble? She could already imagine the higher-ups criticizing her.

"Make me a black coffee," Cecilia said.

Rose snapped out of it. She figured she'd wait and see if Cecilia could pull off another miracle. Cecilia always had a way of surprising people.

After placing the coffee on Cecilia's desk, Rose left. Cecilia took a sip and dialed a number.

"Cecilia!" Cassius's voice had a hint of reluctance, almost like he was gritting his teeth.

Cecilia could sense his dissatisfaction. The last incident where Alaric risked his life for her was something Cassius couldn't get over.

"I need your help with something," she said.

Cassius replied, "Why would I help you?"

"Because you know Alaric would help me," she replied.

"Damn," Cassius muttered. "You think I wouldn't go against Alaric?"

"No, I think you wouldn't let your bond with Alaric be affected by someone like me," Cecilia said.

Cassius shot back, "Is that how you charmed Alaric? With your sharp mouth??"

God, Alaric wasn't charmed by her. If anything, she felt like she was the one being played.

"Just tell me what you need," Cassius finally said, giving in. He had to admit, she was right. He couldn't let her mess with his bond with Alaric.

"Wendy from Radiant Films. I need you to expose her scandal," Cecilia said bluntly.

"Did she offend you?" Cassius asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Sort of."

'More importantly, she's blocking the path to your wife's fame,' Ceclia thought to herself.

"Sort of?" Cassius's voice dripped with sarcasm. "I heard you're virtuous and kind-hearted. But the more I know you, the more ruthless you seem!"

"Yep, that's me," Cecilia admitted.

Cassius didn't waste time. "How do you want me to expose her?"

"Wendy's having an affair with David Stewart, the boss of Radiant Films. Everyone thinks David's a perfect husband. Wendy's got a pure image. Expose their affair, and her reputation's toast. Just get the evidence."

"How do you know about Wendy and David?" Cassius was skeptical.

"I know a lot of things," Cecilia smiled. "So Alaric's not losing out by working with me."

'As if!' Cassius thought. Alaric had put his heart on the line and lost it all. "I'll let you know when I find something," Cassius said, hanging up.

He immediately called Alaric.

"Cassius."

"Cecilia just asked me to dig up dirt on Wendy," he said.

"Agree to it," Alaric replied.

"I knew you'd say that, so I already did," Cassius rolled his eyes.

"Okay," Alaric responded.

"I'm just saying, Cecilia's not as innocent as she seems. She knows stuff we don't. Be careful. She might be playing you!"

Cassius hung up, still feeling frustrated. Damn, he was really worried about this couple.

After sorting out the publicity, Cecilia focused on attracting business. No matter how much buzz she created, the goal was to attract business.

She and Michael were in the office, sifting through potential tenants. They needed a leading business to move into the Tower of Light. Once a big name moved in, others would follow. But if they hesitated, all their initial efforts would be wasted.

After multiple rounds of selection, Cecilia and Michael finally settled on three influential businesses. They began drafting special incentives to get these businesses to move into the Tower of Light.

Cecilia was working tirelessly to ensure the project's success.
