Chapter 306 Twist of Fate VI: I Hate You

Dashiell watched Seraphina's breakdown unfold before him. Every ounce of her rejection, her palpable disdain, was clear to him. He could feel the depth of her yearning for him to take her to Sebastian.

But he refused.

He knew how deeply she was hurting. He understood that she would hate him even more after tonight.

"Seraphina," he said quietly, "I know you loathe me. I'm fully aware you've never had any feelings for me, and I even know how much you'll resent me after tonight. I get it—I'm the villain in your eyes, and I'm dirty. But tonight, let me be clear: I won't take you to Sebastian. Even if it means letting you go to him without a fight, I won't cross that line. This is my bottom line for this marriage."

The most degraded of boundaries.

Tears streamed down Seraphina's face without pause. She always knew Dashiell was a man of his word.

Once Dashiell decided something, it wouldn't change. No matter what she said, he wouldn't budge.

In her anguish, she curled up into a tight ball, biting down hard on Dashiell's shoulder, pouring out all her frustration and despair with every ounce of strength she had.

Dashiell winced slightly. The pain showed on his face, though he tried to keep it in check. He knew she wasn't just enduring; she was retaliating, punishing him for his "cruelty."

Through gritted teeth, he said, "I won't touch you, and I won't leave. If you want to preserve your purity for Sebastian, it's up to you to do it."

Seraphina listened, absorbing every word.

She felt as though she was hearing the cruelest voice in the world.

In some twisted way, if Dashiell had forced himself on her, it might have been less painful. At least then she could have claimed to be a victim, could have had something to fight against.

But Dashiell, with his cold cruelty, left her with only the choice to make. Whatever decision she made, it would be her fault, and he would remain blameless.

She thought, 'Dashiell, you've fashioned yourself into some grand figure of virtue.'

Seraphina finally released her bite on Dashiell's shoulder, not even noticing that the spot she had broken skin on was now seeping blood.

She forced herself to look up at Dashiell, despite the haze blurring her vision. The drugs had left her body craving and disoriented, yet her mind remained frighteningly clear. She struggled to hold his gaze.

Dashiell met her eyes, seeing the depths of her pain and the relentless struggle within her.

She whispered, "Dashiell, I hate you."

It was the last thing she said before making the choice to sleep with him—the most cutting words she could utter.

Dashiell's throat tightened. In the next moment, he felt Seraphina's surrender. She had lost all control, yielding completely to her desires.

The night was a blur of chaos and turmoil.

Beneath the same turbulent sky, Penelope lay in Sebastian's embrace, consumed by anguish. She wished nothing more than to destroy him, to tear him apart piece by piece.

She thought, 'It should have been Sebastian and Seraphina together. How does it end up like this?'

Following them from the nightclub, Penelope had trailed Sebastian and Seraphina to the hotel, intent on capturing their encounter. Her goal was to record their video and release it online to ruin Seraphina's reputation and force her to divorce Dashiell.

She could never have anticipated this.

After Sebastian had dumped Seraphina at the hotel and left her on the bed, he suddenly turned around and dragged Penelope out of the hotel.

Penelope was momentarily stunned.

As she tried to push Sebastian away, he held her firmly, rendering her immobile.

"Sebastian, are you out of your mind? You leave Seraphina alone in the hotel and walk away? What are you thinking?! If that drug isn't released, if it isn't discharged multiple times, it could cause a cardiovascular rupture. Do you realize that by leaving her like this, you're essentially killing her? Are you crazy?!"

Penelope continued to hurl insults as Sebastian dragged her along.

Sebastian seemed to be deaf to Penelope's tirade.

He shoved her into a taxi and coldly gave the driver an address.

The cab sped off.

Sebastian pulled out his phone, struggling to keep his composure amidst the chaos, and dialed. "I left the room key by the flower stand next to the elevator in the lobby. Find a man to go to the room now."

Penelope looked at Sebastian in disbelief.

She thought, 'There is no way Sebastian could be completely indifferent to Seraphina.

'If he truly didn't care, he wouldn't have bothered to take her to the hotel in the first place.

'But what he is doing now?

'Sebastian is sending another man to be with Seraphina?!'

Her eyes widened in shock as she stared at Sebastian. "Are you out of your mind? You're not going to be with your own woman, but you're sending someone else to? Are you completely deranged?! Sebastian, you're nothing but a coward!"

Sebastian's face remained cold, his silence only adding to his frightening demeanor. Whether it was the effect of the drugs or something else, his current appearance was chilling.

"Stop the cab!" Penelope suddenly screamed at the driver.

"No, keep driving!" Sebastian barked at the driver, making it clear that stopping was not an option.

"Pull over!" Penelope shrieked. "Even if you won't, I'll record the footage of Seraphina with another man and send it to Dashiell. I want them divorced, now! Sebastian, you're throwing away a golden opportunity. If you regret this later, it's on you!"

Sebastian ignored her, his expression growing more menacing.

"I said stop the cab!" Penelope shouted, her patience wearing thin.

The driver was about to pull over.

Suddenly, Sebastian clamped his hand over Penelope's mouth and shouted at the driver, "Step on it!"

"But..." The driver hesitated, still sensing something off about the situation.

"Never seen a couple fighting before?" Sebastian roared at the driver.

Penelope was being held in a vice-like grip, her anger boiling over as she wished she could tear Sebastian apart.

The cab soon reached its destination.

Sebastian pulled Penelope into an apartment complex, dragging her into his own place.

From initially fierce and commanding, Penelope's demeanor began to falter as fear set in.

She thought, 'Sebastian is leading her to his home… and he is on drugs.

'No.

'I can't let Sebastian violate me.

'My purity is meant for Dashiell.

'I can't let Sebastian do this to me.'

But Penelope's struggle was feeble compared to Sebastian's strength.

She barely had a chance to resist before Sebastian had her inside his home.

And then, everything started to unravel in a catastrophic whirlwind.
