Chapter 480 The Game (25) Insulting Dominic

Penelope, the queen of mean, had never been this embarrassed in her life.

She totally lost it, screaming on the floor, "Cecilia, you bitch, get back here! What are you all standing around for? Call the cops, now!"

Penelope's angry screech echoed through the room.

Finally, one of the employees snapped out of it and fumbled for their phone to call the police.

Cecilia walked up to the employee and gave her a death stare.

The poor girl was so freaked out she dropped her phone.

She was too scared to make the call; all she wanted was to find a hole to crawl into, shaking like a leaf.

"I..." the employee stuttered.

Cecilia just turned and walked away.

Penelope kept yelling, "Cecilia, I'm gonna sue you for assault! You're going to jail, just wait!"

Cecilia didn't even glance back.

As she and her crew got into the elevator, Dominic's voice rang out, "Cecilia!"

Cecilia acted like she didn't hear him.

"Cecilia!" Dominic got closer.

Just as he was about to grab her, Augustus stepped in his way.

Dominic's face went ice-cold.

He shouted at Cecilia's back, "Aren't you here to collect a debt?"

Cecilia didn't even turn around, "Some people are just too shameless. We'll do this the legal way. I'll take the Kingsley Group's shares through the courts. I hope Mr. Kingsley will cooperate."

"Cecilia!" Dominic's face twisted with panic.

The elevator doors opened just in time.

Cecilia walked in, with Rose, Pierce, and Augustus right behind her.

Dominic watched as the doors closed.

In a fit of rage, he kicked the elevator door, making a loud bang.

All the employees nearby jumped and quickly scattered, not wanting to get caught in the drama.

At that moment, Penelope finally got up from the floor. Seeing Dominic, she felt even more wronged and whined, "Dominic, Cecilia had someone throw me to the ground. I'm in so much pain. You have to do something about that bitch Cecilia..."

"Shut up!" Dominic snapped.

He yelled at Penelope.

"Dominic?" Penelope looked at him, stunned.

She had been spoiled by her family her whole life and had never been yelled at like this.

"Why didn't you tell me Cecilia was here?" Dominic demanded.

Penelope was pissed too. She shot back, "She just wants our e-commerce project. I was just giving her a hard time, so what? Now that she's pushing us around, can't I teach her a lesson?"

"Enough!" Dominic's face was dark with anger, "Now I see why the Kingsley Family is in the gutter, it's because of idiots like you."

"How dare you blame me! Is it my fault the Kingsley Group is in this mess? You make all the decisions. Now that there's a problem, you're blaming me? Dominic, are you nuts!"

"Penelope!" Dominic was shaking with rage.

In front of all the Kingsley Group employees, they argued without holding back, their words cutting deep.

They had completely lost their cool.

"Enough." Dominic didn't want to waste any more breath on Penelope. "Get your act together. If this happens again, don't say I didn't warn you."

"You..." Penelope's eyes welled up from Dominic's scolding.

With that, Dominic stormed off.

He drove like a madman to the Lockhart Group.

Now it wasn't about the Lockhart Group buying their e-commerce platform; it was about them begging the Lockhart Group to take it off their hands.

He'd figured this out over the course of the previous night.

Of course, he didn't want to show it, so even though Penelope didn't inform him, he knew Cecilia was there but didn't come out to see her. He didn't want to look desperate or pathetic in front of Cecilia. He was clinging to the hope that Cecilia wouldn't give up on the highly profitable e-commerce project, so he wouldn't seem inferior to her.

He couldn't stand being trampled on, especially not by Cecilia.

But Cecilia's firm departure made it clear to him that she was willing to sacrifice her own gains to destroy him. She could ditch the e-commerce project and directly take the shares. She could even pull out of the international e-commerce project's marketing plan, making their e-commerce project struggle. In other words, if Cecilia chose to abandon the e-commerce platform, he would not only lose the Kingsley Group's shares but also drag the e-commerce project down with him. The consequences would be a nightmare.

After realizing this, Dominic floored the gas pedal.

He arrived at the Lockhart Group in a frenzy and barged in through the main entrance.

"Excuse me, who are you here to see?" The receptionist stopped him.

Dominic's face darkened. "I'm here to see Cecilia."

"You need an appointment. Do you have one?"

"I'm Dominic from the Kingsley Group!" Dominic snapped.

"It doesn't matter who you are. If you want to see Ms. Lockhart, you need an appointment. If you don't have one, please leave."

Dominic glared coldly at the receptionist.

"This way, please." The receptionist was clearly trying to get him to leave.

Dominic was livid.

He had never been dismissed by someone so low on the totem pole.

He shoved the receptionist aside and marched towards the main door.

"Stop!" The receptionist shouted.

At the same time, several security guards grabbed Dominic and tossed him out of the Lockhart Group's lobby.

Dominic was in pain all over.

But he wasn't about to leave just like that!

If he couldn't see Cecilia and discuss cooperation, the consequences for the Kingsley Group would be catastrophic.

He gritted his teeth and called Cecilia.

Cecilia stood by the tall floor-to-ceiling window, watching Dominic's pathetic state below.

She smirked with contempt.

The consequence of overestimating oneself was self-humiliation.

Cecilia hung up the phone and blocked Dominic's number.

Dominic was so furious he smashed his phone!

For the first time, he felt completely powerless about everything he was going through.
