Chapter 171 Rebecca's Provocation

Cecilia gritted her teeth and glared at Seraphina. "Shh, it's starting."

Seraphina frowned, clearly annoyed.

Just then, the host's voice boomed from the stage, grabbing everyone's attention.

"Thanks for coming to the Harmony Threads' new season launch! This season, we've got high-end handbags, couture dresses, casual wear, and elegant gowns..." the host announced with enthusiasm.

After the intro, the fashion show kicked off.

"First up, our flagship handbag designed by Anthony Miller. It's got niche elements, an exquisite cut, and handcrafted embroidery on the lower right corner. Simple yet elegant with a unique exotic touch!"

The host kept hyping up the new products.

At some point, Seraphina swapped seats with Rose and sat next to Cecilia.

She whispered, "I'm here to pick out stuff for my wedding. Give me some advice, though I might not listen."

She seemed pretty excited, probably caught up in wedding joy.

Cecilia looked at Seraphina's happy face but stayed silent. Seraphina's wedding wasn't something she cared about.

"Next, our flagship couture dress of the year by rising star Lucas Wilson. Bold colors and intricate court-style elements make this dress luxurious and grand... And to grace the stage once again, we welcome our exceptional model, Rebecca! Let's shower her with applause as she shines bright!"

The host's energy pumped up the crowd, hitting the first high point of the event.

All eyes were on the catwalk as a woman, surrounded by other models, strutted out with confidence.

"Who is that?" Seraphina asked, feeling she knew the woman but couldn't place her.

"Jasper's ex," Cecilia replied, also watching Rebecca, who was truly dazzling.

Rebecca on stage looked different from when Cecilia saw her earlier in the dress area. Now, she seemed even more arrogant.

When the spotlight hit her, she had a queenly aura with a hint of haughtiness.

Rebecca suddenly stopped in front of Cecilia, glancing down with a smug smile.

The stage lights were too bright to see the audience clearly, but her actions were clearly aimed at Cecilia.

Seraphina frowned, sensing Rebecca's hostility. "Do you have a grudge with her?" she asked bluntly.

With just one look, she knew it had something to do with Cecilia. Rebecca was clearly targeting a specific direction, and Seraphina's intuition was spot on.

Cecilia sometimes found it hard to pin down Seraphina. Sometimes she seemed like a genius, other times a complete idiot.

"She has another identity," Cecilia told Seraphina, "Alaric's ex-girlfriend."

As soon as she said it, Alaric, who was nearby, seemed to glance at Cecilia. She pretended not to notice.

Seraphina, shocked, blurted out, "Holy shit!"

Cecilia quickly covered Seraphina's mouth. "Be quiet."

Seraphina glared at her. Once Cecilia was sure she had calmed down, she let go.

"I knew something was off about her. She's that bastard's ex."

Cecilia thought, 'Could you not badmouth him when he's right next to you?'

Alaric was just beside them.

"That woman definitely still has feelings forAlaric," Seraphina said.

Cecilia nodded. Rebecca still had feelings for Alaric, which was why she constantly opposed Cecilia.

Everything Rebecca did tonight was clearly trying to make a scene and avoid Cecilia moving in on Harmony Threads.

Cecilia's eyes narrowed as she watched Rebecca step off the catwalk. The host's voice boomed, "Let's give another round of applause for our chief model, Rebecca. Thank you!"

"Cecilia, you need to watch out for her," Seraphina warned.

Cecilia didn't care. Her marriage to Alaric was fake. Whether he wanted to get back with Rebecca was none of her business. But Rebecca really pissed her off.

So naturally, she would retaliate tenfold!

"Next, we present the highlight of the evening, the Harmony Threads' seasonal limited edition couture dress by our designer, Crane. Unlike Crane's usual style, this time she chose a pure white, ethereal dress with a layer of ice-like sheer fabric, exuding elegance. In this bustling world, it stands out like a refreshing spring, unique and fragrant. The theme of this collection is friendship, inspired by the designer's best friend. Her friend is about to get married, so she used the purest white to symbolize the best wishes for her friend's future," the host continued passionately.

Listening to the host, Seraphina muttered, "No wonder it looks like a wedding dress. Crane's friend is so lucky. Crane designed an official Harmony Threads couture dress just for her wedding. This kind of friendship is enviable and could be a milestone in the fashion world!"

Cecilia just smiled faintly, saying nothing.

"Oh my god, this dress is so beautiful!" Seraphina suddenly got excited, watching the models in couture dresses walk by one by one. "Oh my god, I love that one too. What do I do? I think I love them all. I'm doomed; I feel like I'm going to go bankrupt."

In her excitement, Seraphina's view was suddenly blocked. She frowned and looked up to see Rebecca, who had just been on the catwalk, now standing in front of them.

"Can I sit here?" Rebecca asked, directing her question to Cassius.

Cassius, sitting right next to Alaric, suddenly smiled. It seemed like he glanced at Alaric, though it might have just been a casual gesture.

Cassius stood up. "Sure, I was just about to go to the restroom."
