Chapter 651 Sweet Kiss
Alaric walked Francis to the door.
A bunch of black sedans were parked there, with some folks standing around looking all respectful.
"Francis," Alaric called out just as Francis was about to hop into the car.
Francis turned to face him.
Alaric looked like he had something to say but held back.
Instead, he stepped forward and gave Francis a pat on the shoulder. "Take care, man."
Francis flashed a bright smile.
"Alaric, you know what? Tonight was actually pretty great, even if it was short."
Alaric just looked at him.
Francis went on, "Ever since we were kids, I always watched you leave, standing there as you got further and further away. This is the first time you're seeing me off."
Alaric's throat tightened a bit.
He hadn't realized how much this meant to Francis.
Francis added, "Cecilia's amazing; you gotta cherish her."
Alaric gave a slight nod.
Francis smiled and didn't say anything else.
He knew there were things he couldn't change.
From the moment they were born, their lives were destined to lack freedom of choice!
Francis got into the car.
Hugo followed him in.
The convoy of black sedans drove away, disappearing from Alaric's sight.
So this was what it felt like to see someone off.
Alaric now understood the bottled-up emotions Francis had felt all these years.
After a while, he turned to head home.
As he turned, he saw Cecilia standing not far behind, waiting for him.
Alaric smiled softly.
Seeing the person he loved most when he was feeling a bit down was truly wonderful.
It felt like everything was coming back to life, like the whole world was being saved.
Cecilia stepped forward and took Alaric's hand.
Alaric pulled her into a hug.
Cecilia asked, "Did I cause you any trouble?"
She was worried that calling Francis out might have made things difficult for Alaric.
After all, Hugo didn't seem like he came with good intentions!
Cecilia knew the Whitaker family had many loyal supporters of Alaric and Francis. Just because Hugo didn't say anything didn't mean others wouldn't have opinions.
"No," Alaric replied, his voice sounding especially pleasant in the quiet night. "Actually, it moved me."
Cecilia smiled softly.
Alaric said, "I always thought I was good to Francis. Whenever I went to the island, I would spend as much time with him as possible. I rarely refused his requests, whether he was being mischievous or stubborn, as long as it didn't go against my principles. But I never really thought about what Francis truly wanted! Just now, when Francis left, he said it was the first time I saw him off, and he said he was very happy. I suddenly realized that maybe I don't really understand what Francis truly wants."
Cecilia leaned against Alaric's firm chest, listening to his strong, steady heartbeat. She said, "Francis just wants more of your attention."
Alaric nodded.
He knew how Francis felt about him.
This was why, despite the unimaginable hatred they bore, their bond remained strong.
Alaric released Cecilia and looked down at her.
Cecilia understood him so well.
He had thought that after telling her everything about him, she would be scared and reject him, but she had accepted it so readily and given him such warmth.
At that moment, Alaric lifted Cecilia's chin, looking at her small, rosy lips.Afraid of hurting the baby, Alaric had been holding back from getting too close to Cecilia, worried he might lose control.
But on this beautiful night, he couldn't hold back any longer.
Cecilia's allure was more than he could handle.
He leaned in, moving closer to her lips.
Cecilia's eyes fluttered.
Her heartbeat quickened.
Every time they got close, she still felt shy.
She closed her eyes, welcoming Alaric's deep, passionate kiss.
Their lips and tongues intertwined, inseparable.
"I was wondering if I didn't speak up, would I have to wait two hours?" A familiar female voice suddenly broke the moment.
Cecilia was startled.
Alaric froze for a second.
At that moment, their lips and tongues were still locked, their bodies and minds deeply immersed.
Being interrupted was incredibly frustrating.
Cecilia finally pulled away from Alaric.
Reluctantly, Alaric detached himself from her soft lips.
But seeing her lips swollen from their kiss reignited his desire.
Cecilia could see the desire in Alaric's eyes, feeling inexplicably excited by his unabashed display.
Many times, Cecilia didn't feel like she was seducing Alaric.
More often, it was Alaric who was constantly tempting her.
They silently stared at each other.
"I really can't stand it anymore!" Seraphina almost jumped up beside them.
She had been waiting nearby for a long time.
She thought they might go on for hours, so she spoke up to interrupt them.
She had to admit that Alaric and Cecilia's kiss just moments ago had deeply passionate repercussions, even affecting her.
In such a romantic setting, with such a beautiful Alaric and Cecilia, Seraphina felt that even TV shows couldn't capture this effect.
Although it was beautiful, her legs were getting sore from waiting.
Thinking about how Cecilia had turned down her invitation for Alaric, Seraphina felt a mix of frustration and jealousy, prompting her to interrupt them deliberately!
However, even after she interrupted Alaric and Cecilia's kiss, they still gazed at each other lovingly.
Did they think she was invisible?
Her voice finally made Alaric and Cecilia turn to look at her.
Cecilia looked at Seraphina in surprise. "Why are you here?"
"You told me not to come, so I came!" Seraphina stubbornly said, "What can you do about it!"
Cecilia was really speechless with Seraphina.
Sometimes Seraphina could be really childish.
Of course, Cecilia didn't think Seraphina came specifically to cause trouble. If Seraphina hadn't encountered something upsetting, she wouldn't have gone to such lengths.
Besides, the reason Cecilia didn't want Seraphina to come tonight was because of Francis.
Francis's identity couldn't be revealed to anyone.
It wasn't that Cecilia didn't trust Seraphina, but out of respect for Alaric.
Now that Francis was gone, Cecilia didn't say much more.
Seraphina didn't seek Alaric and Cecilia's permission and just swaggered into the Whitaker Villa.
Cecilia pursed her lips and said to Alaric, "Let's go in."
Alaric nodded, his expression revealing that he was still clearly unsatisfied.
Cecilia smiled.
For some reason, she really liked seeing Alaric's helpless look towards her.
Cecilia always felt a great sense of accomplishment.
