Chapter 376 Buy Pads for Cecilia
Good days always seemed to fly by.
Cecilia never thought her time with Alaric would zoom past in just six days.
And now, she realized she'd be leaving Harborvale tomorrow.
She really didn't wanna go.
Cecilia and Alaric were lying in bed, wide awake.
The night was super quiet.
They could just feel time slipping away, bit by bit. Cecilia suddenly flipped over, landing on top of Alaric.
Alaric locked eyes with her.
Lovers in the heat of the moment never seem to get tired of staring at each other.
"Alaric," Cecilia called out.
"Yeah," his voice was all husky.
"Will you miss me?" Cecilia asked.
"Do I even need to answer that?" Alaric chuckled softly.
Cecilia rested her head on his neck, saying, "Alaric, I'll wait for you to come back to Serenovia City."
She couldn't stay in Harborvale with him, and he couldn't go back to Serenovia City with her either.
Alaric held Cecilia tightly in his arms.
He couldn't make any big promises right then, but he sure could show his love.
That night, they fell asleep in each other's arms.
It was the first time in a week that Cecilia slept soundly.
Cecilia opened her eyes.
The next morning, she thought Alaric would already be gone when she woke up.
But to her surprise, Alaric was lying next to her, propping his head up and watching her.
His eyes were full of affection.
"Why haven't you gone to work?" Cecilia stretched and asked him lazily.
"I took the day off," Alaric said. "I wanna see you off."
Cecilia felt a bit touched, but she complained, "Aren't you afraid of gossip?"
"For you, I'm not afraid of anything," Alaric said.
"Smooth talker." Cecilia rolled her eyes.
At that moment, the sunlight shone through the curtains onto him.
He looked stunningly handsome.
"You're so handsome, honey," Cecilia blushed, saying with a bright smile.
Then she turned over to get out of bed, but Alaric pressed her down.
"What are you doing, Alaric!" Cecilia resisted.
Wasn't he fine last night?
This early in the morning, and he's already acting like a beast!
"You," Alaric said firmly.
The next second, Cecilia became his prey.
In the heat of the moment, Alaric suddenly stopped.
He stopped for a long time, without any movement.
Cecilia's eyes were hazy with desire.
She spoke with a hint of coquettishness, "Alaric..."
Actually, Cecilia couldn't resist his teasing either.
"You're on your period," Alaric said bluntly.
Cecilia froze.
Alaric's words were like a bucket of cold water.
She looked down and saw a bit of red on her underwear.
At that moment, Cecilia was super embarrassed.
She hadn't expected her period to come just as they were about to make love.
Alaric seemed a bit too shocked.
After a long time, he said, "I'll have to work harder next time."
Cecilia frowned.
Work harder at what?!
At that moment, she felt Alaric's warm hand touch her flat stomach, then he controlled his body and carried her to the bathroom.
He placed her on the toilet and took off her underwear.
"Alaric," Cecilia called him.
It was kinda confusing; why was he taking off her underwear?
"There's blood," Alaric replied.
Just when Cecilia thought Alaric was gonna toss it, she saw him walk to the sink and start washing it.
Cecilia couldn't even describe her feelings.
Such a tall dude, washing lace underwear.
The scene was just... wow.
Cecilia felt deeply loved.
She sat on the toilet, watching Alaric wash it very seriously.
Alaric, such a pampered heir, was supposed to be unable to take care of himself, but he could do everything.
She began to wonder if he had been switched.
The Mr. Whitaker she used to see was nothing like the man in front of her.
After washing the underwear and wringing it out, Alaric said as he walked out, "I'll hang it on the balcony. Don't take it with you today; you can wear it next time you come."
Who said she would come here again?
Couldn't he come back sooner?
"By the way, where are your other underwear?" Alaric asked.
"In your drawer," Cecilia murmured.
Alaric walked out of the bathroom and brought her a clean pair of underwear.
Just as Cecilia was about to put them on, she paused.
"What's wrong?" Alaric immediately noticed her hesitation.
He wouldn't miss any of her subtle movements.
"I didn't bring any pads," Cecilia said, a bit frustrated.
She wasn't supposed to get her period these days, so she hadn't thought to prepare any pads.
Now it was awkward.
Cecilia looked at Alaric.
Alaric gritted his teeth, saying, "I'll go buy them."
"Are you sure?" Cecilia asked.
"Do you want to go instead?" Alaric retorted, clearly teasing her.
Cecilia was annoyed.
Alaric patted her head and said, "You stay home and wait for me. I'll go buy them for you."
"Do you know what brand to buy?" Cecilia asked.
Alaric paused, then shook his head.
"Give me your phone," Cecilia said.
Alaric quickly handed his phone to Cecilia.
Cecilia wrote down the brand of pads in the notes and handed it back to him. "Buy this one."
"Okay."
Alaric left the house and headed straight to the convenience store downstairs.
In the end, he still felt very awkward.
Alaric wandered around the personal care section a few times.
It was mostly women.
His presence was clearly out of place.
"Hey there, what are you looking for?" The sales clerk in the personal care section probably couldn't stand it anymore.
The sales clerk had seen him circle her three or five times.
Alaric glanced at the sales clerk and slowly nodded. "It's just that..."
"Your girlfriend's on her period, right?" The sales clerk asked bluntly.
Alaric was a bit surprised.
How did the sales clerk know?
He quickly admitted and corrected, "It's my wife."
The sales clerk chuckled and said, "Only a good man would come to buy these things for his wife. Some men can't bring themselves to do ity. In any case, there aren't many good men like you anymore. Come, I'll show you how to buy them."
"My wife told me to buy this one." Alaric took out his phone and showed the sales clerk.
