Chapter 589 Dominic Sentenced (1)
After breakfast, Cecilia went to change clothes, getting ready to head out. She had just taken off her loungewear when Alaric barged into the walk-in closet.
Cecilia glanced at her naked reflection in the full-length mirror, feeling a bit awkward.
Even though they had seen each other like this plenty of times, it was still kind of weird, right?
"Which one do you want to wear?" Alaric asked, rummaging through Cecilia's lingerie drawer, which was neatly organized with bras.
Cecilia, feeling shy, replied, "The black one, on the far left."
Alaric grabbed it for her and then asked, "What outfit should you wear today?"
Cecilia pointed to one of the suits. Alaric fetched it and started helping her get dressed.
"I can do it myself," Cecilia said, feeling uncomfortable. She always felt like Alaric's gaze was full of desire.
"I know," Alaric nodded, "but I want to help you."
'You just want to flirt with me!' Cecilia thought, enduring Alaric's occasional deliberate touches.
Finally, Alaric finished dressing Cecilia.
Just as her heart was pounding and she was about to leave, Alaric suddenly pulled her into his arms.
Given Alaric's current physical condition, Cecilia didn't dare resist. She could only let Alaric's kisses land all over her neck. If this kept up, Cecilia felt she wouldn't be able to leave the house.
"Alaric, stop it," Cecilia said, exasperated. How could Alaric be so lustful anytime, anywhere?
If it weren't for his poor health, she couldn't imagine how indulgent he would be after getting out of prison.
She gently twisted her body, the feeling of wanting to resist but not really resisting making Alaric even more uncontrollable.
He pressed Cecilia against the vanity in the closet, causing all the makeup to fall to the floor. Luckily, it was carpeted, so nothing broke. But Alaric seemed very dangerous like this.
"Alaric, no," Cecilia said, clutching her clothes. What if the surgical wound reopened? Was Alaric really unable to control his lust?
Alaric seemed not to hear Cecilia's complaints. Sharing a bed with Cecilia but unable to make love had made his whole body ache, as if thousands of ants were biting him.
Now, at this moment, he couldn't control himself. If there was anyone in the world who could make him lose control, it was Cecilia in front of him.
Even just looking at her made his body tense and his mouth dry, let alone this intimate contact. His hand had already slipped inside Cecilia's clothes.
Cecilia looked at the ceiling helplessly. Why had she just helped Alaric explain? She should have let George take care of Alaric, saving him from his lack of self-control.
"I'll do it!" Cecilia suddenly said loudly. Alaric paused.
"Don't move!" Cecilia compromised. If they really had to make love, it would be better for Cecilia to help Alaric. At least his body wouldn't be subjected to intense impact.
"As long as you promise not to move, I'll help you," Cecilia bargained.
Alaric, almost unable to bear it, saw Cecilia's determined face and nodded. Cecilia got off the vanity and knelt down, starting to give a blow job. Alaric felt that nothing in the world could be more wonderful than this moment.
Not long after, Cecilia sat in the car driven by Augustus, lost in thought.
Why had she given in so easily today? Why had she gone that far? Just thinking about it made her blush.
And remembering Alaric's expression at that moment made her even more embarrassed. How could Alaric be so lewd?
"Mrs. Whitaker," Augustus suddenly spoke, snapping Cecilia out of her thoughts.
"What is it?"
"We've arrived," Augustus reminded her.
Cecilia looked out the window at the tall gates of the Serenovia City District Court.
Dominic's trial was at ten this morning. She had planned to go to the Lockhart Group first, but Alaric had delayed her so much that she had to come here first. She was here to see Dominic's fate with her own eyes. The hatred from her past life could end here.
Cecilia and Augustus got out of the car together. Dominic's case had caused quite a stir in society.
Besides being one of the four major families in Serenovia City, Dominic was also involved with the Monroe family, so it wasn't surprising that many people were paying attention.
As soon as Cecilia got out of the car, a group of reporters surrounded her. Cecilia was prepared.
"Ms. Lockhart, what do you think about Dominic framing Alaric?"
"Can you give a brief comment on the two men who are deeply connected to you?"
"Ms. Lockhart, did you refuse Dominic at the wedding because you already knew he wasn't a good person?"
There were many questions. Cecilia didn't answer them one by one. She only said, "Whether Dominic is a good person is for the law to decide."
"Then, Ms. Lockhart, do you have any emotional reaction to what Dominic is going through now?"
"No," Cecilia said bluntly. "I have nothing to do with Dominic. Whatever he goes through and has to endure is his business and has nothing to do with me."
"Then why did you personally come to attend Dominic's trial today, Ms. Lockhart?"
"To watch the show." The reporters were stunned by Cecilia's words.
She smiled, "After all, my husband was unnecessarily harmed by him, and he should receive the punishment he deserves."
The reporters wanted to ask more, but Cecilia gave Augustus a look. Augustus forcefully protected Cecilia as they left the crowd of reporters and entered the courtroom.
The court was preparing at the moment. Cecilia chose a good spot and waited. Last time, she waited for Alaric with a nervous and eager heart. This time, it was indifference.
She really had no feelings for Dominic. From the moment Dominic was cruel to her in the past life, there was only hatred left.
At 9:50, the staff entered. Dominic and Octavia were brought to the defendant's stand.
After a week, their former glory was completely gone. Dominic had his hair cut short and looked dejected. Octavia, without her luxurious clothes and exquisite makeup, looked ten years older.
Cecilia watched them indifferently until Dominic's gaze met hers. Their eyes locked, and Cecilia smiled triumphantly.
Dominic's previously despondent mood was instantly ignited by Cecilia. He still couldn't accept his tragic end, couldn't accept that he had really lost to Cecilia!
In this week, Dominic had enough time to think through all the causes and consequences.
