Chapter 740 Locking in the Destination

"Enough, Sebastian!" Seraphina finally spoke.

She was genuinely afraid that Atticus's blood pressure would rise from anger, and Sebastian's words would come true.

Sebastian gave a cold smile.

He took his phone and returned to the bedroom, not giving Seraphina a chance to speak further.

He spoke into the phone, "Atticus, did you hear Seraphina's voice?"

"Sebastian, don't do anything rash."

"Relax, I'm not that shameless," Sebastian said nonchalantly. "Did you do what I asked?"

"I can give you the shares of Everhart Bank as you requested, but I won't commit suicide," Atticus said bluntly.

Sebastian's face darkened instantly. "So you want Seraphina to die right in front of you, is that it?"

"If I die, she will die too," Atticus said coldly.

Sebastian's eyes turned icy.

Atticus hadn't lost his sanity yet.

He said, "Then I can make her life a living hell."

"Sebastian!" Atticus became agitated again.

"Should I rape her first, then kill her, or kill her first and then rape her, or maybe cut off her hands or legs..."

"That's enough!" Atticus couldn't listen any longer.

The initiative was entirely in Sebastian's hands; he had no leverage to negotiate.

"Atticus, dying does take a lot of courage. I'll give you more time. If by this time tomorrow, there's no news of your death, I'll send you Seraphina's eyeballs!" Sebastian said in the calmest voice, uttering the most brutal words.

"You!"

"I mean what I say," Sebastian didn't care about Atticus's feelings. "Think it over."

With that, Sebastian abruptly hung up the phone.

He wasn't afraid of Atticus playing tricks.

As a father, Atticus could never accept Seraphina suffering such torment.

Even if he knew that Seraphina wouldn't survive after his death, he would still be threatened by Sebastian.

Atticus was indeed threatened.

He put down his phone heavily.

Dashiell could imagine that if Atticus didn't die, Sebastian wouldn't dare to kill Seraphina, but he hadn't thought about what cruel things Sebastian could do to Seraphina if Atticus didn't die.

If that's the case.

Atticus would rather die.

At least if he died, Seraphina would suffer less.

Atticus turned to look at Dashiell, who was still working on the computer.

Dashiell had heard all their conversations, but he didn't show much emotional reaction.

Atticus still had some emotions in his heart.

To Dashiell, did Seraphina still matter?

"Alright," Dashiell put down the computer.

Through the cell tower signals, he basically knew where Sebastian was.

With a narrowed-down location, it would be much easier to rescue Seraphina.

He said, "Mr. Everhart, you go ahead and do as Sebastian asked. We'll stay in touch. As for Sebastian's threats just now, you can temporarily ignore them. By this time tomorrow, I should be able to rescue Seraphina."

"What if you can't rescue her?" Atticus asked.

"If I can't, even if you die, Seraphina will still die with you," Dashiell said coldly.

Atticus looked at Dashiell.

Dashiell said, "I'll do my best."

He wouldn't let such a thing happen.

"How can you guarantee you'll definitely rescue her? Do you know where Sebastian is holding Seraphina?" Atticus asked, with doubt.

"I've pinpointed Sebastian's location through cell tower signals."

Atticus was somewhat skeptical.

How could Dashiell know such confidential data?

"Mr. Everhart, just do as I say. I can rescue Seraphina," Dashiell didn't explain further.

Time was urgent, and they couldn't afford to waste it.

Atticus just looked at Dashiell, scrutinizing him, and said heavily, "Dashiell, Seraphina is my only daughter. If anything happens to her, I really can't go on living."

"I know."

"Can you really rescue Seraphina?"

"I can," Dashiell gave a definite answer.

"I believe you," Atticus said. "Seraphina is in your hands."

"Don't worry," Dashiell promised.

Atticus didn't dare to think too much at this moment.

Besides Dashiell, he didn't know who else he could rely on.

"I'm leaving now," Dashiell instructed. "You must stay in contact with Sebastian. Make sure to tell him that I know about Seraphina's kidnapping."

"Okay."

Dashiell didn't delay any longer. He drove to the destination, an old neighborhood slated for demolition.

Dashiell parked his car a bit away from the destination, fearing that Sebastian might have surveillance around.

After parking, he used his phone to locate the area, and the screen displayed all the surveillance cameras in the vicinity. Dashiell started checking each camera, looking for Sebastian.

The cell tower signal covered a region, but to find Sebastian's exact location, he needed to verify through the cameras.

Based on the time Seraphina was kidnapped, Dashiell locked in on a time frame and downloaded all the surveillance footage. Then he called Cassius, "Cassius."

"What's up so early?" Cassius was puzzled.

After returning Cecilia to Serenovia City, he went to Astralton City to stay with Alaric.

"I need some manpower. Can you arrange it?" Dashiell got straight to the point.

"What's going on?" Cassius felt something was up.

"Seraphina has been kidnapped, but I can handle it. I just need people to help me go through some data."

"Alright," Cassius didn't ask further. "I'll have someone contact you shortly."

"Thanks."

"Dashiell, that woman Seraphina isn't worth your effort."

Dashiell knew that.

He was just doing what he thought needed to be done.

Not long after hanging up, Cassius's people called.

Dashiell sent them the videos, asking them to help find Sebastian.

Dashiell was also watching.

An hour later.

The other party respectfully said, "Mr. Rainier, we didn't find any trace of Sebastian."

Dashiell quickly reviewed the footage himself and indeed found nothing.

But he took a screenshot from his phone, "I'll send you a photo. Help me track this woman's movements. Send me all her video footage."

"Yes." Dashiell hung up the phone.

If he wasn't mistaken, that woman was Clio Ayala, Sebastian's sister from the orphanage.

Clio had come to see him last time.

Sebastian's most trusted person should be Clio.

But Sebastian didn't know Clio had met Dashiell, so he thought it wouldn't attract any attention.

Clio's sudden appearance in this place was definitely not a coincidence.

Dashiell waited for a while and received the activity log from the other party, focusing on an old, dilapidated apartment building.

If he guessed correctly, Seraphina was being held there by Sebastian.
