Chapter 39 Almost Lost Her First Time
In the room.
The temperature was rising slowly.
Cecilia was waiting.
Her body was still trembling slightly.
Whether it was because of anger or nervousness, her heart was beating fast.
Fast enough that it felt like her whole heart was about to jump out.
At that moment, Cecilia heard laughter that seemed uncontrollable.
Cecilia opened her eyes and saw Alaric had already left the big bed, laughing strangely.
He said, "Ms. Lockhart, what are you expecting?"
'I'm not expecting anything!' Cecilia thought, she was furious.
"Don't worry. Last night you..." Alaric looked Cecilia up and down.
Cecilia unconsciously hugged the blanket tighter.
She didn't even know who had dressed her in his pajamas.
"Last night, Ms. Lockhart was throwing up everywhere, so it's hard for me to feel any desire for you." Alaric was blunt.
Cecilia's expression changed.
Willingness and being despised are two different things.
"So, my first night is still intact," Alaric smirked.
'You jerk are still a virgin?' Cecilia thought, astonished.
"The bathroom is over there; there are unused towels and a toothbrush inside; wash your face and come downstairs. I need to talk to you," Alaric said as he walked away.
He left without a second thought as if he had no interest in her at all.
Cecilia was a bit distracted.
She looked down and saw his pajamas, which were obviously a few sizes too big for her.
Damn.
Thinking about the clothes Alaric had changed her into, she regretted her decision.
She lifted the blanket and walked into the bathroom.
The pink towel and toothbrush were placed on the washbasin as if they were specially prepared for her.
Clearly, she was angry.
At that moment, she was suddenly touched by Alaric's thoughtfulness.
He was like a devil who could tempt humans. No wonder so many women liked him.
If she hadn't aged ten years, she didn't think she could handle it rationally.
She quickly brushed her teeth and washed her face; then, she tidied herself up.
In the large mirror, Cecilia's face looked a bit pale. She had never been so drunk.
Even after a night's sleep, she still felt an extreme headache.
She didn't know how someone like Seraphina, who could get drunk three to five days a week, managed to survive.
Cecilia forced herself to pull herself together and walked out of the room.
The decoration was modern, minimalist style, simple but definitely not cheap, even with a priceless feel!
The overall color tone was high-grade gray with a firm texture.
Walking through a corridor, Cecilia saw a spiral staircase.
She went down step by step and saw Alaric sitting elegantly in the outdoor dining room, having breakfast.
The morning sunlight was just right.
The scattered golden light fell on her, on her hair.
From a distance, it looked like a beautiful painting.
Alaric seemed to notice her presence.
He elegantly wiped the corners of his mouth, "Not hungry?"
Cecilia snapped back to reality.
At that moment, her face blushed slightly.
She walked up to Alaric.
Alaric suddenly stood up and pulled out a chair for her gentlemanly.
Actually, Dominic would treat her the same way, but he was just pretending.
Cecilia didn't refuse and sat down opposite Alaric.
Just as she was about to speak, a middle-aged man appeared and respectfully served her breakfast. "Mr. Whitaker said that Ms. Lockhart was drunk last night, so he made a corn soup to help you feel better."
Cecilia was slightly stunned and then politely thanked him.
"You're welcome, Ms. Lockhart; please enjoy your meal." the man left.
Cecilia watched his back.
"Finley Westcott." Alaric seemed to be introducing him to her, saying, "The butler here."
"Okay," Cecilia responded.
After all, it had nothing to do with her.
Alaric didn't want to comment on his butler either.
At this moment, Cecilia actually had no appetite, so she didn't eat the corn soup.
She went straight to the point. "Did Cassius capture everything from last night?"
"If you finish the soup, I'll tell you." the jerk Alaric still said with a bad attitude.
Cecilia told herself not to get angry.
Alaric was only 25 years old, while she was already 32.
She didn't get angry with much younger men.
She picked up the spoon and started eating, thinking it wouldn't taste good.
However, when the soup entered her mouth, it was smooth and fragrant.
She couldn't help but enjoy it.
Alaric smiled subtly.
After finishing her meal, Cecilia wiped her mouth.
Although she still wanted to eat a little, what she cared about most now was everything from last night.
She said, "Can you tell me now?"
"Success," Alaric said indifferently in three words.
Cecilia looked at him.
"Meaning, everything Ms. Lockhart wanted is here," Alaric explained.
Still so casual.
Cecilia couldn't take it anymore; she asked, "Did Dominic sleep with Isadora?"
"Yes."
"Did they go straight to a hotel?"
"No, a luxury apartment suite in a high-end community," Alaric calmly ate his breakfast and said, "I had Cassius check; it wasn't under Dominic's name; it was under Eloise Thorne."
Cecilia frowned.
"Since you know what kind of person Dominic is, you should know that he doesn't just have a relationship with one woman." Alaric's expression was plain.
However, at that moment, his eyes were fixed on Cecilia as if trying to gather some information from her face.
Cecilia pursed her lips.
She was not completely indifferent.
She had been with Dominic for so many years; ever since her grandfather arranged a childhood engagement for her when she was ten, Dominic had been a part of her life.
She always thought her grandfather had chosen the best for her.
So, she never set any defenses and completely fell into the whirlpool of love.
However, her true feelings were still trampled upon.
At this moment, she couldn't even deceive herself that everything from her past life was just a dream.
She asked, "How did you know?"
Her emotions dissipated in an instant because she knew her past life wasn't a dream.
Alaric seemed to have finished his breakfast.
He put down his knife and fork, then elegantly wiped the corners of his mouth.
He said, "Didn't Ms. Lockhart claim to know me well?"
Cecilia was speechless.
"It seems that Ms. Lockhart doesn't know me well enough," Alaric said, "you'll have to try harder."
This sentence seemed like a criticism.
At this moment, Cecilia didn't want to argue with Alaric. She was more concerned about the matter. "Show me what you captured last night."
Cecilia didn't want to delve into other matters too much.
She and Alaric were supposed to be in a partnership as long as it was mutually beneficial.
Nothing else mattered.
Alaric handed Cecilia the phone on the table.
Cecilia took it and watched a video on the screen.
She clicked on it and watched the explicit and obscene scenes in the video with indifference.
