Chapter 152 Cecilia Makes Rebecca Extremely Angry

In Cecilia's view, Cecilia could tolerate Alaric having an affair, as long as he wasn't so obvious about it. She'd made it clear when they got married that she wouldn't meddle in his private life. But flaunting it in front of her was too much.

She glared at the two of them, looking way too cozy.

So, men do love to cheat!

Rebecca, hearing Cecilia's sarcastic tone, looked embarrassed and said, "I was just pouring water for Alaric and accidentally spilled it. I was helping him clean up. Don't you think you're overreacting without knowing the full story?"

Cecilia noticed the water stains on Alaric's hospital gown but wasn't buying it.

She sneered, "Accident or not, Ms. Adams, it's pretty inappropriate to be all over a married man."

Rebecca shot back, "Cecilia, Alaric and I are classmates and good friends. What's wrong with visiting him when he's hurt?"

Cecilia replied, "Ms. Adams, do you think it's normal to throw yourself at a patient?" She sneered.

Rebecca insisted, "I told you, I was just helping him clean up."

Cecilia raised an eyebrow, "In front of his wife, helping him wipe his body? Do you think that's appropriate?"

Rebecca was fuming, almost speechless.

She'd heard of Cecilia before but didn't know she could be so cutting. Cecilia had shut her down completely!

"What, can't bear to let go of my husband?" Cecilia didn't give Rebecca a chance to respond, staring at her hand still on Alaric.

She was getting angrier by the second.

'Alaric's really enjoying this, isn't he?'

'He loves being pampered and having two women fight over him, doesn't he?'

Instead of pushing Rebecca away, he had a smirk on his face.

Cecilia wanted to yell at him.

Rebecca saw Cecilia's challenging look and reluctantly pulled her hand back.

She had done it on purpose. Alaric didn't even want the water she poured. She spilled it just to get closer to him.

Otherwise, she felt she'd never get close to him.

Rebecca thought Alaric was indifferent to all women, so she accepted it. But seeing someone like Cecilia get close to him drove her crazy.

Alaric might not be hers, but he couldn't be anyone else's either!

Cecilia didn't waste more words on Rebecca. She walked up to Alaric and yanked at his hospital gown, "Take it off."

Alaric's eyes twitched slightly.

He hadn't expected Cecilia to be this mad!

"It's dirty, why don't you take it off?!" Cecilia said, loud and clear.

Rebecca got the message.

Unable to hold back, Rebecca snapped at Cecilia, "Cecilia, what are you implying? Who are you calling dirty? Are you mocking me?"

"Alaric's clothes are stained with blood. Don't you think that's dirty? Besides, we're about to be discharged and go home. The hospital gown belongs to the hospital, so of course, it needs to be changed," Cecilia said calmly, even smiling a bit. "Ms. Adams, did you misunderstand something?"

Everyone knew what was really going on.

But no matter what Rebecca said now, it wouldn't come out right.

If she admitted Cecilia was mocking her, she'd be admitting she was dirty.

She couldn't help but retort, knowing full well Cecilia was doing it on purpose.

"Ms. Adams, I'm going to change my husband's clothes. Are you sure you want to stay and watch?" Cecilia asked bluntly, not waiting for Rebecca to respond.

Rebecca wanted to strangle Cecilia.

What right did Cecilia have to act so smug around Alaric? Rebecca always thought if she couldn't have Alaric, no one could.

No woman deserved to be by Alaric's side, no one.

Yet here was Cecilia, looking perfectly at ease.

Moreover, when they got married, everyone said they were a perfect match.

Rebecca left, fuming.

As she was leaving, she suddenly remembered something and turned around.

She saw Alaric and Cecilia kissing.

Alaric was the one initiating it.

She thought she must be seeing things.

She had never seen Alaric kiss anyone first.

And he was so eager.

Alaric never lost control like that!

Rebecca was so angry she couldn't speak. She stormed out, slamming the door behind her.

Cecilia, who had been repulsed by Alaric's sudden kiss, felt oddly soothed by Rebecca's anger.

But she still pushed Alaric away.

After catching their breath, Cecilia, blushing, pushed him away. "Can you be serious for a moment?"

Alaric said, "Like I said, I have a hard time being serious with you."

Cecilia replied, "Alaric."

"I'm very pleased with your performance today, so this is your reward. Don't you like it?" Alaric said with an innocent look.

Cecilia was stunned.

It was a pity Alaric wasn't an actor!

Cecilia was still angry.

Alaric, however, had a nice smile on his face.

Cecilia adjusted her emotions slightly and said, "It's not that I mind you being with other women."

The smile on Alaric's face stiffened.

Cecilia said, "I just personally don't like Rebecca, and that's why I'm here to stop you two from getting too cozy."

Alaric said, "You don't have to explain." He didn't want to know anyway.

"We agreed when we got married that we could each find our true love. As long as you're not so blatant about it, I'll tolerate it."

"So..." Alaric's eyes locked on her.

"So, you can choose to let Rebecca take you home."

Alaric seemed to smile, the curve of his lips very obvious.

Cecilia vaguely felt he was angry, yet also felt he had no special emotions, just found her words amusing.

She actually found herself quite funny.

When it came to her feelings for Alaric, she didn't even know what she was doing.
