Chapter 221 Can I Trade My First Time for It?
Seraphina left Sebastian's house.
She dashed out of the neighborhood, not caring about anything, and ran straight onto the road.
She could accept anyone persuading her to be with Dashiell.
The only thing she couldn't accept was Sebastian.
Seraphina couldn't accept that Sebastian had pushed her away.
Her eyes was blurred with tears.
She didn't even notice that the light had turned red in front of her.
She was alone, walking on the road with tear-blurred eyes.
Around her, the urgent sound of car horns blared.
Seraphina turned her head and saw a car speeding towards her.
She thought, 'If I were dead, no one would force me to marry Dashiell. I wouldn't have to feel this miserable anymore. They would finally understand how much I despise Dashiell and regret pushing me this far.'
Seraphina just stared blankly as the car sped towards her.
There was a startling, deafening sound of brakes.
The black car stopped right in front of Seraphina.
Maybe just one foot away, and Seraphina would have been knocked off her feet.
She looked numbly at the car in front of her.
The driver angrily rolled down the window, stuck his head out, and shouted, "Are you crazy?! Running a red light!"
For a second, she really didn't care about her life.
But, when the car was really about to hit her, she instinctively took a step back.
That step probably saved her life.
She suddenly remembered her mom, how she looked like a skeleton when she died, holding her hand tightly, saying, "Seraphina, promise me, you have to live well."
If she died like that, how could she face her mom?
So, she took a step back and saved her own life.
After all, it was not worth dying for a man like Dashiell.
She gritted her teeth, turned round, and left straight away.
The driver cursed a few more times and drove away.
Seraphina hailed a cab and went straight to the hospital to see Dashiell.
Since she didn't dare to die, she would solve the problem in another way.
When she pushed open Dashiell's door of ward, there was no one inside.
Magnolia was probably with Atticus.
And Dashiell wasn't someone who liked having people around, so he must have sent the carer away.
When she walked in, Dashiell looked up.
Seeing her, his expression changed.
Seraphina didn't show much emotion; she walked in coldly.
Both of them just stared at each other.
"Seraphina," Dashiell spoke first.
"Does it have to be this way?" Seraphina asked him.
Dashiell's eyes flickered, seemingly avoiding her gaze.
"Dashiell, I admit I really hated you before. I thought it was your mom's fault that my family fell apart and that my mom couldn't see my dad one last time before she died!" Seraphina said, tears streaming down her face.
Seraphina was not a crier, but it seemed like she had cried all her tears in the past few days.
"I hated your mom, so naturally, I hated you. I didn't dare to do anything to her, so I could only retaliate on you. I really wanted to kick you and your mom out of my house." Seraphina said calmly, stating some facts, "Now, I'm not kicking you out and forcing your mom to divorce my dad. I won't hate you anymore. I'll even leave the whole Everhart family to you. I don't want a penny of it..."
Dashiell listened silently.
He listened to Seraphina crumble a little.
"Please, can you leave me alone?" Seraphina begged him.
In her whole life, Seraphina had never humbled herself to anyone.
But Dashiell still refused.
He said, "Seraphina, I'm very selfish. I can't leave you alone."
"I really don't love you!" Seraphina said each word clearly, "I really don't love you at all, Dashiell. When I kissed you, it was just a moment of impulse. I even regretted it later. The person I love has always been Sebastian. I really only love him..."
"I don't need you to love me," Dashiell said coldly, "I just need you."
"Why does it have to be this way?" Seraphina was on the verge of breaking down, "Dashiell, when did you become so bad!"
"I've never been good. I was just pretending because I liked you. What you're seeing now is the real me." Dashiell articulated.
Seraphina laughed.
Suddenly, she felt that besides laughing, she couldn't do anything else.
Why did her life turn out this way?
Even though she lost her mother and didn't have a complete family, she still felt that most of her life was lucky.
She had saved up a lifetime of luck to meet Sebastian, and now, was it all going to be in vain?
'No, I really can't accept it!' she thought.
She suddenly walked closer to Dashiell.
Standing close to him.
She said, "Dashiell, do you like me?"
Dashiell didn't answer.
The answer was obvious.
"Do men like women just to get their bodies? Can I trade my virgin with you?" Seraphina said painfully.
Dashiell, who had not been looking directly at Seraphina, finally turned his eyes to her.
"Right, men are all the same," Seraphina said.
As she spoke, she started to take off her clothes.
The sudden change caught Dashiell completely by surprise.
He was about to speak.
Seraphina suddenly leaned down and kissed him.
Dashiell's legs were severely injured. Even though his left leg was a bit better, he still couldn't move, let alone his completely numb right leg.
At this moment, he was forcefully kissed by Seraphina.
When they kissed for the first time, although Seraphina always said it was a moment of impulse, a longing for something beautiful, without any feelings, their kiss was awkward yet sweet. But now, it was full of pain.
Dashiell pushed Seraphina away and said, "Don't do this."
Seraphina buried her head in the crook of his neck, tears falling down, all sliding into Dashiell's body.
So hot, it seemed like it could burn his skin.
She said, "Dashiell, you actually can't bear to hurt me, can you?"
Dashiell's throat moved slightly.
"You also think we can't really have sex, right?" Seraphina asked him.
With deep hope, she asked him.
Dashiell's throat moved up and down.
She was the one who can't really have sex with him, not him.
How could she have sex with a man she didn't love?!
