Chapter 667 The Dinner Party (6) An Unexpected Incident

In the swanky private room, Seraphina was sipping her drink.

Dashiell was all smiles, chatting away with Landon and Natalia, not even glancing her way.

Seraphina felt a wave of gloom wash over her.

"Here's your honey water," a waiter suddenly appeared, handing her a glass with a respectful nod.

Seraphina frowned.

When did she ask for honey water?

"Not mine," she said flatly.

The waiter looked a bit flustered.

"It's mine," Dashiell reached out.

The waiter quickly handed it over.

Seraphina shot Dashiell a sarcastic look, thinking he probably ordered it for Natalia and it got mixed up.

The more she thought about it, the sadder she felt.

She got up and headed straight to the bathroom in the private room.

Honestly, she couldn't stand to look at Dashiell right now.

Dashiell watched her leave, then turned back and took the honey water from the waiter.

Natalia thought it was for her too.

But to her surprise, Dashiell drank it himself.

Natalia felt a bit awkward.

Then she thought, 'I haven't been drinking, and there's lemon water in front of me. Dashiell must be drinking honey water because he feels off after drinking alcohol.'

Natalia comforted herself with that thought.

As she started talking again, Dashiell suddenly said, "Mr. Carter, it's getting late, and I think we've all had enough fun."

It was clear he wanted to wrap things up.

Landon, who was having a great time and eager to introduce Natalia to Dashiell, hadn't noticed the time. After Dashiell's reminder, he quickly checked his watch and said, "Wow, it's almost midnight. We all have work tomorrow, so let's call it a night."

Dashiell nodded.

Landon stood up and announced to everyone in the room, "It's late. Let's wrap it up. We'll get together again soon."

Some folks tried to persuade him to stay a bit longer.

But seeing that he really wanted to leave, they all agreed and said their goodbyes.

Dashiell glanced at the bathroom in the private room.

Seraphina still hadn't come out.

He pursed his lips but followed everyone out first.

He personally saw Landon and Natalia off, and the others, who were drunk, also left one by one.

When Dashiell got back to his car, he hesitated for a moment, then turned back to the private room.

As soon as he walked in, the waiter who was cleaning up saw his anxious look. She stammered, "I'm sorry, the honey water I brought earlier was delivered to the wrong person."

Dashiell frowned slightly.

The honey water was his order.

It was for Seraphina.

She had drunk too much, and Dashiell was trying to remind her to take it easy.

Even though she didn't drink it.

"I mixed up your order with the one from the next room. I just realized it..." The waiter seemed to have mustered a lot of courage to say this.

"It's okay," Dashiell said indifferently.

After all, it was just water; no big deal.

"It does matter. You ordered pure honey water, but the next room ordered water with an aphrodisiac," the waiter seemed too scared to continue.Dashiell's frown deepened as he realized things had just gotten a lot more complicated.

"You should probably keep your girlfriend close tonight. I swear, it was an honest mistake," the waiter said, almost in tears, speaking bluntly.

Seeing Dashiell's grim expression, the waiter quickly added, "It'll kick in within half an hour, so you need to be ready. I'm really sorry."

Dashiell's face turned icy.

The waiter was visibly scared.

Just then, Seraphina finally emerged from the bathroom.

She had thrown up a lot, cursing Dashiell the whole time.

Feeling a bit better, she noticed that only Dashiell was left in the private room.

Had everyone else left?

Was Dashiell waiting for her?

A flicker of hope crossed her face.

But then Dashiell abruptly turned and walked out quickly.

Seraphina paused.

Was Dashiell out of his mind?

She hurried to catch up.

With his long strides, Dashiell seemed to be deliberately making it hard for her.

What was his deal?

Seraphina stopped chasing.

She slowed her pace. After all, she was leaving in Dashiell's car. If she didn't get in, he couldn't leave. He had waited for her in the private room just for that reason; Dashiell wouldn't be kind enough to care about her condition.

Seraphina walked out of the nightclub at her own pace.

Her eyes suddenly caught sight of Sebastian.

A cold wind had picked up in the evening.

When she walked out, she felt a bit chilly.

Sebastian was just wearing a short-sleeved shirt, standing there, not knowing how long he had been waiting for her.

Seeing her come out, he quickly approached, "Seraphina."

Seraphina's eyes softened, and she forced a smile. "Why are you here?" she asked.

"I was worried it was too late and unsafe, and I thought you might be drunk, so I came. How are you? You don't look well," Sebastian asked with concern.

"I'm okay," Seraphina replied indifferently. "How did you know I was here?"

"Serenovia City isn't that big. There are only a few nightclubs, so I found you," Sebastian said lightly.

But in reality, Serenovia City was neither too big nor too small, and there were plenty of nightclubs. It wasn't easy for him to find her.

Seraphina felt a pang of guilt.

Every time Sebastian was good to her, she felt uncomfortable.

She nodded silently, not asking any more questions.

Sebastian didn't say much either. He took Seraphina's hand and said, "Let's go. I'll take you home. It's getting colder tonight, and your hands are freezing."

Actually, Sebastian's hands were even colder.

Seraphina's throat tightened.

At this moment, she couldn't bring herself to tell Sebastian to go home alone.

And Dashiell had already left.

Whether he was waiting for her in the car or not, he had left.

"Okay." Seraphina nodded.

As she nodded, she suddenly saw Dashiell appear not far behind Sebastian.

He saw her and Sebastian holding hands, looking very close.

Before Seraphina could say anything, Dashiell turned and walked away again, leaving her with nothing but a cold back.

Sebastian seemed to notice Seraphina's gaze. He turned to see Dashiell getting into a car and driving away.

He pretended not to care, as if he couldn't feel the tension between Dashiell and Seraphina.

He naturally held Seraphina's hand and led her to his car.
