Chapter 331 Let Him Suffocate
"You see, for Emily, you don't even care about your own life. I don't even know what to say to you, and besides, Emily isn't that petty," Arabella said helplessly, then turned to Emily, "Right, Emily?"
"If I had known Cecilia couldn't eat mushrooms, I wouldn't have given her any," Emily quickly replied.
She recognized that Cecilia intentionally placed the matsutake before her, wanting her to give it to her.
Cecilia's actions infuriated Emily, yet she had no means to express her anger.
She never thought Cecilia could be so clever.
She was encountering a worthy opponent for the first time.
"It's nothing, just a minor allergy. Mom, don't worry too much, and Emily, don't feel guilty. I'm just happy you both could come over. I hope you visit often. It's quite lonely with just Alaric and me," Cecilia said, clearly trying to ease the awkwardness.
Cecilia was trying to lighten the mood, not wanting Emily to feel bad.
Arabella was delighted, and she had already decided that Cecilia was a good daughter-in-law. She smiled, "Alright, I'll bring Emily over more often when we have time. Actually, the doctor also suggested that Emily should walk more in safe conditions due to her health. Now that we have a place, I'll bring her over to play."
"Sure," Cecilia agreed immediately.
Cecilia seemed extremely happy.
Emily saw this and really wanted to strangle the woman.
Cecilia's acting was even better than hers.
Cecilia looked at Emily, who was so twisted with anger, and the smile on her lips was obvious.
To deal with a scheming bitch, she had to out-scheme her and leave her with no way out!
As she expected, after lunch, Emily wanted to leave.
She probably knew that staying here wouldn't benefit her and would only make Arabella like Cecilia more.
Arabella knew Emily didn't like staying out too long, so she didn't think much of it. Shortly after lunch, she said she would take her home.
Cecilia naturally tried to persuade them to stay.
Cecilia didn't overdo it, hinting at their extended stay without causing any discomfort.
In any case, Cecilia made Arabella very satisfied.
"Then I won't keep you and Emily," Cecilia said, looking a bit reluctant.
"I and Emily don't have to work, so come over whenever you have time. I was thinking, when you and Alaric have a baby, I can move back to the villa, and I can help take care of the child."
Cecilia looked a bit shy.
Before she could speak, Alaric said, "Cecilia's parents also want to take care of the baby."
Arabella was a bit displeased.
"Cecilia's parents only have her. I can't just take their daughter and their grandchild too. So I plan to let Cecilia's parents take care of the baby first," Alaric said seriously.
It was as if Cecilia was already pregnant.
"Then have two," Arabella suggested, unable to argue with her son.
"That works," Alaric nodded.
Cecilia was speechless.
She thought, 'Did I say I wanted to have a baby?'
Arabella was overjoyed to hear her son talk about having a baby. She gave a few more instructions before saying, "Then we'll be going."
"Mom, wait a moment," Cecilia quickly ran to the back garden and soon came back with two bouquets of flowers.
Arabella was puzzled.
"These are from the flower room in the back garden. I saw Emily liked them, so I had George quickly wrap two bouquets, one for you and one for Emily."
"Cecilia, you're so thoughtful," Arabella said happily, taking the flowers.
No woman disliked flowers except for Emily.
Emily couldn't control her expression anymore, yet she had to take it anyway.
"I'll walk you to the door."
"Alright." Arabella agreed.
Cecilia and Alaric saw Arabella and Emily off to the car.
Once the car disappeared from Cecilia's sight.
Cecilia finally breathed a sigh of relief.
She had safely sent Emily away.
"Well done!" Alaric praised her in her ear.
Cecilia glanced at Alaric.
She thought, 'Alaric always stood by and watched.'
He was good to others, but when it came to his family, he was very protective.
"Emily is sick, you know?" Cecilia couldn't help but complain.
"Otherwise, she wouldn't have grown up taking medication," Alaric said calmly.
She meant Emily had a psychological illness.
Emily liked her biological brother."Let's go to the room," Alaric said, stretching out his long arm and pulling Cecilia into his embrace.
Cecilia wanted to break free but decided to give up.
After all, she would end up doing what Alaric wanted, so why wasted the energy?
"It's the perfect time for a nap," Alaric murmured.
Cecilia's body was visibly stiffening a bit.
She felt that unless she gave herself to Alaric, she wouldn't get out of this situation.
She braced herself and went to the room with Alaric.
"I'll take a shower," Cecilia suggested.
Alaric took a deep breath, probably holding back.
He said, "You take a shower in this room, I'll go to the next room, hurry up!"
She thought, 'Did he need to be in such a rush?'
The next second, she saw Alaric walk out of the room.
She pondered, 'His arm was still in a sling; couldn't he wait a couple of days?'
Cecilia, feeling a bit anxious, went to the bathroom to shower.
When she came out, Alaric was already lying on the bed waiting for her.
His gaze was fixed as she emerged in a bathrobe.
The look in his eyes had Cecilia completely overwhelmed.
It was like a wolf seeing its prey, his eyes glowing!
"Come here," Alaric called to her.
His voice was filled with excitement.
Cecilia walked over.
Alaric's Adam's apple bobbed up and down.
His eyes were fixed on Cecilia's body in the bathrobe, his long and slender fingers reaching for the belt, ready to untie it.
"Alaric, I'm on my period."
Alaric felt a buzzing in his head.
He just stared at Cecilia.
Alaric's fingers froze on her belt.
The expression on his face was indescribable, beyond words.
Cecilia felt that he was a bit too devastated.
But it wasn't her fault.
She couldn't control her period.
Then she heard Alaric ask, "How many days?"
"How long is your period usually?" Alaric gritted his teeth.
"Usually 7 days."
