Chapter 213 There's No Way I'll Marry Dashiell Even If I Die
"I'm not anyone special, just want to clear things up. Since Dashiell wants to marry you, I'll make it happen," Magnolia said bluntly.
"I won't agree," Seraphina replied coldly. "Whether I marry or not is my business. Even if you force me, it won't work. At worst, I'll die. Dashiell wouldn't marry a dead person, would he?"
Dashiell's eyes flickered as he looked at Seraphina.
"If you really force me, I'll die right in front of you. I'll do what I say!" Seraphina grabbed Sebastian and walked away.
She felt like a fool for her feelings for Dashiell. He had insulted her feelings. She left without a care.
Cecilia hurried to catch up.
As Seraphina was about to get into Sebastian's car, Cecilia called out, "Seraphina."
She turned to Cecilia.
Cecilia took a few quick steps forward. "I need to talk to you. Come to my house tonight."
"I don't want to say anything right now," Seraphina's eyes were red, feeling extremely aggravated. She didn't understand why such disgusting things were happening to her.
"I need to talk to you," Cecilia insisted, pulling her and not letting her leave.
On this night in her previous life, Seraphina and Sebastian had sex. All her tragedies started from this day. Cecilia wouldn't let it happen again.
Seraphina glanced at Sebastian.
"It's up to you," he said, always considerate.
Seraphina thought for a moment, "I'll go to Cecilia's house first."
"Okay," Sebastian nodded, "Don't think too much. No matter what happens, I'll be by your side."
"OK."
Cecilia pulled Seraphina into her car. Augustus drove away.
In the car, Seraphina broke down crying. Augustus was at a loss. He had never seen a woman cry so much. Seraphina had been wailing since she got in the car.
Although Cecilia was used to Seraphina's personality, she was also a bit overwhelmed by her crying, "How long are you going to cry? It's not like your husband died."
"I wouldn't be this sad even if my husband died," Seraphina snapped, then quickly added, "I don't even have a husband yet!"
"Alright, stop crying. It's not a big deal."
"Not a big deal?" Seraphina retorted, "Try marrying a man you don't like or even hate."
"Didn't I try?" Cecilia smiled, "It wasn't as bad as I thought."
Seraphina was speechless. She suddenly remembered that Cecilia had also suddenly remarried.
After a long pause, she said, "I'm different from you. You did it willingly, I was forced."
"You can do it willingly too."
"Never in my life."
"Actually, Dashiell is quite good."
"Can you stop persuading me?"
"Marrying him isn't that bad."
"Cecilia!" Seraphina was very angry, "Don't you support me? Don't you think Dashiell was despicable today? Even if he likes me, he can't use such means. The more he does this, the more I hate him."
"If it wasn't true love, who would use such despicable means?" Cecilia murmured.
Seraphina was stunned.
Her heart was touched, but the hatred was stronger, so she couldn't feel it.
Cecilia didn't push further. Pressing Seraphina now would only backfire.
"Forget it," Cecilia said.
"I'm not thinking about it," Seraphina suddenly calmed down. "In a week, I'll marry Sebastian as planned. As for Dashiell, he can do whatever he wants. If he sues me, I'll just go to jail. I've thought it through."
Cecilia sighed helplessly. It wasn't easy for Seraphina to take this step.
The car soon arrived at Alaric's villa. Seraphina followed Cecilia inside. It was late, so Cecilia took her upstairs to the guest room.
"Take a shower first. Look at you, covered in blood. People might think you were in a car accident," Cecilia reminded.
Only then did Seraphina notice the bloodstains on her body. It wasDashiell's blood. She was silent for a few seconds, still feeling some emotional turmoil over Dashiell's accident.
"Cecilia," Seraphina suddenly called out.
"What's up?"
"If Dashiell really ends up crippled, what will happen to him?" Seraphina asked.
So she wasn't as indifferent as she appeared.
Cecilia smiled, "He'll live alone for the rest of his life."
Seraphina stared blankly at Cecilia.
"Who would marry someone with a disability?" Cecilia added.
"He can buy a wife. The Everhart family has plenty of money," Seraphina weakly retorted.
"Would you be willing to spend money to buy a husband?"
Seraphina was so gagged by Cecilia that she couldn't say a word. She didn't even know if they were still friends. Why had Cecilia been helping Dashiell since the incident?
"Why don't you go take a shower? I'll get my pajamas for you."
"Fine."
Seraphina walked into the bathroom. Cecilia returned to the master bedroom. It was really late, but Alaric was still awake. Despite being seriously injured, he had left the light on for her.
Seeing her return, he looked up from his phone, "You're back?"
"You're not asleep yet?"
"I can't sleep without you."
"How is Dashiell?" Alaric asked casually.
Cecilia went to the closet to find clothes for Seraphina. She found a set of pajamas and came out, "He was in a car accident. No life-threatening injuries, but his legs are seriously injured. His left leg can recover, but his right leg is uncertain."
Alaric responded. Cassius had already told him.
"I brought Seraphina home. I'll sleep with her tonight." Cecilia hugged the clothes and left, not giving Alaric a chance to speak.
Alaric was a bit displeased. Was this the result of him waiting for her all night?
Cecilia took a deep breath as she left the room. She was afraid Alaric would stop her. He could be unreasonable sometimes, and she couldn't control him.
She walked into the guest room and took the clothes into the bathroom. Seraphina was naked and didn't feel shy in front of Cecilia.
"Are you jealous?" Seraphina noticed Cecilia's gaze.
Cecilia smiled wryly. She wasn't jealous. She just thought that Seraphina's perfect figure would be wasted on Sebastian but would be just right for Dashiell.
