Chapter 742 Clio's True Face

Atticus was lost in thought.

The phone rang again.

He glanced at the caller ID; it was Dashiell.

At that moment, he felt an inexplicable emotion but eventually regained his composure. "Dashiell, how's it going? Have you found Seraphina?"

"I've basically pinpointed Seraphina's location, but I need a bit more time to get the exact spot. Has Sebastian called you?" Dashiell asked.

"He just did."

"Did you make Seraphina speak?"

"I forgot. He was just pressuring me to hand over the transfer document immediately," Atticus replied.

"Next time you talk to Sebastian, make sure you hear Seraphina's voice. Sebastian is too cunning. I'm worried he might secretly hide Seraphina. Even if I find Sebastian, I might not be able to find Seraphina," Dashiell cautioned.

"Got it."

Dashiell hung up the phone.

He was currently hiding in a secure stairwell.

The 23rd floor showed no signs of occupancy.

At first, Dashiell thought Sebastian had covered his tracks well. On second thought, he realized Sebastian might choose to get off the elevator on the 22nd floor. Someone like Sebastian might think to get off earlier or later.

This expanded the range Dashiell needed to search.

Sebastian was indeed more difficult to deal with than he had imagined.

Inside the room.

After finishing the call, Sebastian was having lunch with Clio.

Seraphina still chose not to eat.

She coldly watched Sebastian and Clio, who seemed to be having a warm moment.

Sebastian always gave off a lonely vibe. Except for her, he seemed indifferent to everyone, but with Clio, it was different. Their relationship seemed extraordinary.

Were Sebastian and Clio siblings?

Or was there another kind of relationship?

"Are you sure you don't want to eat?" Sebastian shot a sharp look.

"No!" Seraphina refused.

Sebastian sneered, "Seraphina, you better understand your current situation."

Seraphina was furious.

If she could move, she would have taken Sebastian down with her.

"Defying me will only make you suffer!"

Seraphina remained unmoved.

Sebastian's patience with Seraphina seemed to have reached its limit.

He suddenly grabbed a lunch plate, walked over to Seraphina, and held a piece of meat to her mouth with a fork. "Open your mouth."

Seraphina pressed her lips tightly together.

"Don't you love Mexican food?" Sebastian's eyes narrowed.

The lunch was all Seraphina's favorite dishes.

He had been very kind to go this far.

But Seraphina would never accept it.

Seraphina would never understand what he was enduring inside to go this far.

"Your food makes me sick!" Seraphina said each word deliberately.

"Sick?" Sebastian laughed.

A crazy laugh.

He said, "If that's sickening, then what if I kiss you? Would that be even more sickening?"

"You!" Seraphina's face changed visibly.

"It's not like I haven't kissed you before. What's the matter, Seraphina? Do you despise me now? Or are you trying to stay pure for Dashiell?"

"Shut up!"

"If Dashiell can sleep with you, why can't I?" Sebastian's eyes were full of malice. "The more I think about it, the more I feel unlucky. I've spent so much effort on you for so many years, and I haven't even slept with you. It just doesn't make sense!"

"Sebastian, that's enough!" Seraphina shouted at Sebastian. "I will never in my life..."

Seraphina's eyes widened.

Sebastian kissed her madly.

Seraphina struggled desperately, but she couldn't move because she was tied up.

She tried to bite Sebastian, but he suddenly grabbed her jaw, preventing her from closing her teeth.

Tears streamed down her face as she witnessed all of Sebastian's cruelty.

In the room, Clio was also watching this scene unfold.

She sat at the dining table in the living room, coldly watching Sebastian kiss Seraphina like a madman.

She kept watching, expressionless.

Until Sebastian finally let go of Seraphina.

Seeing the intense hatred in Seraphina's eyes.

She probably wanted to kill him.

Sebastian wiped Seraphina's lips. "Will you eat now?"

He was clearly threatening her.

Seraphina held back her tears.

"If you don't eat, I'll continue," Sebastian threatened, moving to kiss her again.

"I'll eat!" Seraphina compromised.

As she compromised, tears streamed down her face.

For the first time, Seraphina felt this kind of helplessness.

This helplessness of being controlled by someone else.

Sebastian smiled triumphantly. "That's a good girl."

Then he picked up the utensils and started feeding Seraphina again.

Seraphina ate each bite with difficulty.

Her tears kept falling.

After finishing a bowl of food.

Sebastian smiled. "That's a good girl."

He even patted Seraphina's cheek.

Seraphina looked at him with disgust.

"If you keep crying, I won't be able to resist torturing you again," Sebastian threatened.

Seraphina stared at him with wide eyes.

"Don't doubt what I say." Sebastian casually picked up a napkin and wiped Seraphina's tears. "You know men can't resist fragile and beautiful women!"

Seraphina really wanted to kill Sebastian.

Really, really wanted to.

"Be good, don't make me kiss you again. I'm afraid I'll fall for you again," Sebastian said, getting up to leave.

Clio was already in the kitchen, cleaning up the lunch.

Sebastian took the utensils to the kitchen for Clio to wash.

Clio took them.

As Sebastian was about to leave.

"Sebastian, do you still like Seraphina?" Clio asked.

Sebastian pursed his lips.

"No," he said.

Clio turned to look at him.

She clearly didn't believe his answer.

Sebastian didn't explain. "I'm going to rest. Wake me up at 3 o'clock."

"Okay." Clio didn't ask further.

Some things, everyone knew deep down.

She had expected this outcome.

When Sebastian said he wanted to get close to Seraphina, she had anticipated this day.

Any man would like a beautiful, well-built, cute, and wealthy woman. Someone like her, ordinary and poor, no man would truly like. Sebastian's kindness to her was only because of their long-standing relationship.

She finished cleaning the kitchen and returned to the living room.

In the living room, Seraphina was still tied up, leaning in the corner.

Clio walked over and looked down at her.

Seraphina looked back at her.

She suddenly felt that Clio had bad intentions.

Clio had always been silent and obedient to Sebastian.

But at this moment, Clio seemed sinister and terrifying.

"What are you going to do?" Seraphina asked warily.

"Is it because you're beautiful that Sebastian likes you?" Clio asked coldly.
